  1. The AoS Event will use the FaceHammer GT Pack. The house rules and FAQ answers in the pack will be used. It will be 2000pts A single list is to be used all weekend You will need to bring your own terrain - 5 pieces (buildings, hills, woods, swamps, ruins etc) Generals Handbook - Refer to the FaceHammer GT pack for clarification on scenarios being used and escalation rulings GW FAQ will be in use, however the FaceHammer FAQ overrides any conflicts in ruling Command Traits & Artefacts can be picked each round List submission will be Saturday November 12th, I'll check them all Sunday Please submit lists and any questions to tez64@hotmail.com FaceHammer FAQ Pack FaceHammer GT Pack (Please use the dates and venue of the Reading Warfare thread!) **You will need to bring 5 pieces of terrain each as well**
  2. The venue has its own bar and staff, never been allowed to take drinks in the past so would assume its the same again this year.
  3. Last year I bought a Hill, Wood, Swamp, Ruin/Impassable I didn't think any of these had warscrolls other than the Sylvaneth Wildwood Didn't even know this was a thing lol. I have now read the whole page! Also on the entrants list you have me down twice, one of those is Byron
  4. I have a display board I'm working on for Blood & Glory in November. I have not considered any of this lol. I just picked pink/purple as it striking scheme and I like working with the colours!
  5. I have some questions/feedback about a few things in the pack which could be answers to one of the questions above (regarding terrain). Under the section for "army selection" it states : "Your armies Allegiance, and its Allegiance abilities will be recorded on your armylist and fixed for the event." Does this include Allegiance Artefacts? Under terrain you need to bring 5 pieces and "You must bring at least 4 different types of terrain pieces." For new people to AoS, terrain doesn't really seem to have a type other than woods or buildings. So for 5 pieces could you bring a wood, a realm gate, skull vayne manse, Occulum and a Dreadtower thingy for example? and will the rules for the terrain scrolls be in use at the event? As most terrain features don't have a type or warscroll can you include an example list? (I'm just basing my terrain off what I would consider different terrain types in 8th edition)
  6. Always worth the drive this one. Its one of the few events I'm able to get drunk at as the Travelodge is like 5-10 mins down the road!
  7. Some of the work in progress pictures of my Great Unclean One which was about 99% finished for Warlords! So I started by building the majority of the model and the cut off the tentacle whip arm and positioned it on the rear of the model to be his new tail. I cut away a large amount of the top of the model and then filled the body with pieces of scrap cork so the repositioned spikes on top would have something to attach to. I then filled in the top of the model with some older less workable greenstuff. Made an arm out of greenstuff so I could place the newly created plasticard sword in position so I could get a feel for how the overall model would look. I then sculpted the top of the model and a new arm over the top of the placeholder arm in the previous image. I used loads of glass microbeads to add more details and make it more "nurgley". Once all the sculpted was done I sprayed the model black and then white from above to see where all the shading would go. I then airbrushed down the first base coats of green and some purple in thin layers around the sore areas. Followed by hours upon hours of painting the blisters in 3 layers and then going back and glossing them all. As you can see in the image above I went very yellow on them with a glaze, which I didn't like so went back and painted them all over again... The gloss parts were added on the base and are still drying in the pic below

  11. Can you put me down as well please Paddy, I'll get the monies sent over
  12. My first 4-5 events I went to I finished in the bottom 10-20% losing about 4/6 games at each event as I didn't understand what all the other armies could do, but losing games and learning is just part of the journey. Get stuck in, if you can and have time read through the grand alliance books and learn the warscrolls. Listening to podcast tournament reviews (shameless plug for FaceHammer!) is also a great way to learn about what the current army meta looks like.
  13. This could have easily been a winner in the painting, the freehand on the banners and overall theme was really good. The final decisions for picking the winners was soooo close!
