  1. I got a top ten finish with Ironjawz at Waaaghpaca (a four way tie for sixth place overall) out of 60 players. I used the 'ardfist. I'll post when I have a video tournament report.
  2. That should help. You can also put a bit of glue and sand on top of it.
  3. The only thing I would change is to add some more texture to the top of the cork. The sides of the cork look good, but the top is too flat.
  4. I find this to be preferable. The strength of pestilens is that your units are able to go off on their own and be successful anywhere. I like that the corruptor doesn't have to hunt down heroes and can run into anything and still get value.

  6. You've inspired me to do a NMM army. What are your colors for the black? I have coal black from p3 and will work up to wolf grey from vallejo and finish with white. Looks about the same.

  9. How is he doing all that on the maw krusha? You can't buff the save if you ignore rend with an ethereal amulet. Where does the 5+ come from? Where is the +1 to save coming from? I'm guessing he is playing something incorrectly.
  10. I look forward to your post. I also think the workbook is rushed. I also don't like the standardized terms they have chosen and find a lot of things in the book misleading. The workbook does not seem to differentiate between strategic intent and tactical execution or discuss dynamic or static advantages or about power projection and threats effecting the position of the board or how to value pieces and trades. There's a lot of vagueness that can be developed further and needs some rigor.

  12. Great point. I threw in a few staves over my 130 to break it up a bit. I threw in a few shields on some as well.
  13. 2 ranks can swing with the blades. That is easily 20 rats swinging. It saves so much time and the rerolls to hit make up for the lack of extra attack from the staff. The math is nearly identical. So I take the blades so I don't have to swing with two weapons and measure two weapons ranges.
  14. Counting ranges for two weapons is annoying an already slow to play army. I just use blades. The math works out the same unless you use the +1 attack command ability more than once, which you should never have to do. 20 monks with blades can all swing in two ranks anyway and kill mostly anything.
  15. Take out the plagueclaw and take 3 plague mortars instead. They are just better every time mathematically.
  16. Yes I use them and they are great for screening. The 1/4 allies restriction is annoying in 2e however.
  17. Often I move the front line and announce that I will catch the others up on my opponent's turn. I indicate the area I intend for the rats to fill with my fingers so there is no cheesing. If it's important for measurement like around objectives or tagging enemy units I will slow down a bit. Often I don't remove the rats from the trays individually. I keep track and wait until 10 die then pull a full movement tray off.

  19. Man I really like this warscroll. Free re-roll to cast, his spell is like a free purple sun with 26" range, and a command ability that, coupled with crown of conquest, substantially mitigates battleshock. How about this?   21. 3 units of clanrats isn't too much of a downside.
  22. It's a horse apiece. You get a bigger bubble for buffs on a bigger base.
