  1. Hey! Maybe you can help. I’m Tom and I’m on the hunt for a part from the Dankhold Troggoth sprue — the hand squishing the centipede. It’s one small part from the sprue and if you built him with the club, you’re unlikely to have used it. My next project will depend on me being able to find several of these. 🙏🏻 Please could you check your Gitz’ bitz box and drop me a DM? I’d be willing to buy it for a price you considered fair. 🤞🏻 I’m UK and I’d be so appreciative. Thanks in advance for helping, Tom

  3. Hi all, I'm just curious if it's possible to make a (somewhat) successful Troggoth list, using the Troggoth Hag as the general? If so, how would you go about doing it? I really like the idea of troggoths, so I was just curious.
  4. Decided to do a quick little tutorial on how I do bases for my Troggoths. Here I'm working on a 60mm base thats for my new Dankhold Troggboss. Materials used in this tutorial are. Cork trivet from Ikea Mushrooms from The Battleforge Skulls from GW Sand and rocks from my yard Flock from Gale force nine Wasteland Tufts from Armypainter Vallejo Water Texture Paint and PVA Glue So starting out I just used a pencil to mark the size of my base on the cork trivet and then placed the Troggoth inside the circle marking out where his feet went. Then it's just kinda hacking away at the cork until it looks good. Don't really know how else to explain it I then add the mushrooms and skulls to different places I used a bunch of mushrooms all around the base and added skulls to the part where the water goes they peek nicely from under the water when we are done. Masking the transition from the cork to base I use small rocks and sand everywhere you can see black parts or the base. The entire base is Primed Mechanicus Standard Gray and then painted. It's all very basic so I'm not going to start listing all the paints but one tip I want to give is that stipling some Deathworld Forest and Skarsnik Green on the rocks makes a very nice mossy look. After everything on the base is painted I paint the rim black and add my tufts and moss flock. So now we get to the exiting part. Water effects. First up you want to tape the edge where you will be applying your water. You want to make sure there are no places where the water will escape so be patient and put a good amount of tape everywhere. I use Vallejo Water Texture and it's in it self clear so I apply some Athonian Camo Shade in it and mix it in a cup before using a large syringe to apply the water effect on to the base. I usually put around 3 layers of water effect but the tape is on there only for the first one. When you apply your first layer of water effect you let it dry for around 12-15 hours and then remove the tape. You will notice the water has creeped up the tape as it dried and kinda formed a wall in it self around the base. I use this for my next two layers and just fill the base until it meets the edge that dried against the tape. On the third coat of water effect I apply some leafs before it dries so they will get stuck in the water. Now you will most likely get some water effect on the edge of your base but after everything is dry and solid I just go around the base rim with some more black paint and it looks perfect. And thats how I make my bases! Pretty simple and easy!
  5. Hi all, So for those of you who prefer to vomit rather than use fists, spears or hakkas and with the release of AoS 2, now is the time for us to start talking about how we can make Troggoths great. Moving forward, this will be the main thread to chat about and discuss Troggoths in the new edition. It's my hope that we can persuade GW to Make Troggoths Great (again?), or at least, battleline if you have a troggoth allegiance. If Chaos Dwarves can get abilities, then Troggoths can be battleline.
  6. Is there anyway to make an army composed entirely of Troggoths Matched Play legal? I really want to field a full army of dirty Trolls
  7. So it has been a while since I've looked at the game. I had been planning to do a Troll army before that and thinking of reviving the project for AOS28. So I was looking around at these Troggoths that exist in AOS and was wondering are Chaos Trolls no longer a thing? I see all the other troll types under Destruction but except for the old Compendium Warscrolls that have Throgg and Chaos Trolls I haven't seen them noted anywhere else.
  8. Part 1: Prologue Thunder rumbled and echoed over the distant ragged mountain peaks that surrounded Wortbad. One of the moons pierced the heavy black clouds that rolled and writhed over them and silver light picked out the tops of tangled dead trees. The woods that filled most of the land between the Evernight Peaks and the village were dark and foreboding, even in daylight, at night they were full of terrors. Horrific things prowled the winding paths between gnarled and clawing branches. Spirits of the restless dead, flesh eating creatures, ghouls, ghasts, wolves, bats, vampires and worse. ~ ~ ~ The chill Autumn wind scoured Sorrow Fen and whipped the long coats and tattered robes of the Nachtjägers. Professor Fangmorder pulled his broad brimmed hat firmly down on his head and squinted with his one good eye through a small brass spyglass. After a few minutes of studying the boarded-up doors and windows of Wortbad and noting the numerous crude wards, made of string, twigs, bones and dried flowers hung from door and window frames, he closed the spyglass with a click. He turned to Grimming and nodded sombrely. “It is as ve feared. The willage is deserted again and looks wery much like it vas overrun by Deadwalkers recently.” he said with a heavy Harrowmark accent. Grimmig took a long breath, as if to ready himself. The Shaman-Priest hefted his grandhammer and said “Den dere is da Holy vork of Sigmork to be done!” with fury in his eyes. ~ ~ ~ Godfather Viktor and I are about to start a five game campaign for the Halloween season. In the past we have always aimed to play a themed game to celebrate Halloween but for lots of reasons they have never happened. This year we decided to play a mini campaign over a few weeks to make sure the seasonal game takes place, even if we can't play on the 31st of October itself!

  10. Hey guys! So I was going to go to a tournament on the 16th, but alas real world stuff got in the way and I couldn't make it. I also wasn't able to get all the painting I wanted done so probably for the best. I was looking and it seems like the store might hold another on the 30th with any luck. So if that goes ahead then I was thinking of dusting off my trolls. Thinking this might be a fun list: Troll hag - 400pts Arachnarok (Spider shrine) - 280pts 6 fellwater trolls 3 sour breath trolls 3x5 spider riders - full command 3x 3 ogors - full command 1x gorgers I've used gitmob grots as batteline for the trolls previously and it didn't work too well. They tended to explode and then shortly after the trolls would also explode leaving the troll hag alone against the enemy. I think the ogors might do better, I plan on using them to screen and primarily do the dying. There is potentially a good combo with the troll hag curse and the ogors, but not too likely to get off. Spider riders are there to look cool and move fast, if they do some killing then thats a bonus :). Let me know what you guys think? Crispen out
  11. Trying to decide between two 1500pt mixed destruction lists. Started with Ironjawz starter set but really want to add Fellwater Troggoths as I love the models. Just intended for casual play. Which of these lists would be more competitive, which would be more fun to play, and which would look better together? Any suggestions on swapping some units around without straying far off theme? List 1 Leaders Orruk Megaboss Gitmob Grot Shaman w/ talisman of protection Orruk Warchanter Battleline Gitmob Grots w/bows x20 Gitmob Grots w/bows x20 Units Ironfist Battalion Orruk Ardboys x10 Orruk Brutes x5 Orruk Gore Gruntas x3 Fellwater Troggoths x3 Grot Rock Lobber Grot Rock Lobber List 2 Leaders Orruk Warboss on Boar w/ choppa and shield, talisman of protection Orruk Warchanter Battleline Savage Orruks x10 Savage Orruks x10 Units Ironfist Battalion Orruk Ardboys x10 Orruk Ardboys x10 Orruk Brutes x5 Orruk Gore Gruntas x3 Orruk Boarboys x5 Fellwater Troggoths x3
  12. Hey there dear reader! Grab a seat and get ready to be blown away by tactical genius. Beginning of this month I managed to get myself to a small one day event in Sydney. Going into the event I knew the points would be 1k and that we'd be playing: Take and hold blood and glory escalation Originally I was going to come to the tournament with a Galrauch led beastmen list. unfortunately 2 days before the tournament my galrauch still hadn't arrived so I had to switch to a troll army and decided to take: Troll hag 3 river troggoths 3 sourbreath troggoths 20 gitmob grots - banner, boss, bows 20 gitmob grots - banner, boss, bows So in two days I was able to get most of the models painted to a very basic tabletop standard:: I went for a swamp style and to compliment that look I decided to use the Hobbit goblins as my gitmob. They require more work with modelling on bows etc, but I think they look pretty cool. The trek to the place took me 3 hours and when I arrived I was told there were 7 players and that one would need to have a bye to begin with. I volunteered cause I was wrecked after travelling that far haha. I was promptly told it would be random and instead I was matched up against a woodelf themed undead army: So his list from memory was: vamp lord - he took the power that increases the deathless save to 5+, he also had wings 2 units of 5 blood knights 1 unit of 5 hex wraiths 10 zombies 10 zombies The scenario was take and hold. I mobbed 20 goblins around my objective with my trolls setup behind them. The other 20 goblins I sent forward to see what blood knights do. I've never versed them before and it turns out they make goblins explode haha. All 20 are charged in his turn one and are wiped out. I win priority and send my troll hag off to beat up his hex wraiths, figuring that she could kill them in one go with her vomit attack and close combat attacks. I then send my river trolls and sourbreath trolls over to try and hold off the 2 units of blood knights and vamp threatening my objective. It turns out that hex wraiths ignore rend and my troll hag ends up tied in combat with them. My trolls roll fairly badly and only manage to kill 2 blood knights from one unit after shooting and sending in the sourbreaths. in his turn he kills my sourbreaths with a counter charge from a second blood knight unit and one of the two knights I killed comes back to life. The troll hag finishes up the hex wraiths. I win priority again and decide that the vamp lord just makes blood knights too strong and spit on him and kill him with the troll hag. I shift the river trolls in an attempt to stop these blood knights from taking my objective. In his turn they charge and kill both the river trolls and the 20 man goblin unit, at this point the blood knights are back at full strength. I think the game is over, but it turns out the troll hag has been masterfully placed (on purpose of course...) to contest my objective. So over the next few turns she beats up blood knights finishing one unit off. The game ends and we go to victory points which he wins on by 20pts. game one Loss for the trolls! Game two I didn't get a chance to get a picture of his army, but it was a poor showing for the trolls. He had from memory: Verminlord deceiver Sayl 3 warpfire stormfiends 20 clanrats 10 clan rats this one was the 4 objectives need to be captured to win. I knew going in that I needed to kill sayl. He wins first deployment and places Sayl. I mindlessly setup my troll hag opposite, even though there was a rock formation completely hiding sayl from me and a choke point that my base size coupled with my other trolls wouldn't be able to get through. He wins first turn and places 10 clan rats forward using Sayl's fly move. I shift forward a bit and blow them up. Turns out the verminlord deceiver has this spell where he can just appear anywhere he likes, he pops up behind my troll hag, sayl flies the stormfiends forward and they toast the troll hag. From then on out the army falls apart and he wins a major victory, the game finishing with a heroic charge from 20 gobbos into his clanrats hoping to either tie them up or wipe them (neither happens, they just die haha). For the third round I'm given that bye I asked for at the start of the day haha. Turns out it counted as a minor win, so I end the day on 2 losses and a minor win . I also win best painted, I think mainly cause my army was themed and everyone likes the old sloppy ******. 1st place was a bone splitters force, from memory it had: 1 warboss 2-3 shamans 30 Archers 2* 10 spearman (one unit may have been 20, not sure) 2nd place was a deathrattle formation, from memory: wight king - cloak of shadows 5 black knights 10 grave guard 20 skeletons 10 skeletons outside of the formation skull catapult necrotect all in all was a fun day and I enjoyed the troll army. Even though I didn't win, when my bellow at one unit of trolls and battlebrew combo went off it was glorious to see the dmg the vomit dishes out. I'm thinking for the next one I might bring: Troll Hag 3 river trolls 20 gitmob grots 30 choppa and shield orruks with full command One last shot of the glorious losers: Thanks for reading, hopefully the troll sagas will return shortly :). Troggoth Army

Hey folks, I'm toying around with the idea of an army full of beautiful smelly Troggoths. 4 units of 3x Fellwater Troggoths plus 2 Troll Hags makes up most of a 2000 pt army, and not too expensive in real world money despite having some Forge World in there. Trouble is that I needs some battleline from somewhere else in Destruction (shame that the Hags don't make Trogs battleline, seems like an oversight). I wondered what people might recommend. I was looking at Grot Spider Riders with interest to get some more speed in there, but perhaps some Orcs would be better to add some numbers? Another option of course is to make a load of Chaos Trolls led by Throgg, especially since I'm planning on building a Tzeentch army at some point. But then Chaos can't take the lovely Hag models. Thoughts appreciated.
  14. Hey guys. I thought I'd get a discussion going about those big, beautiful, dumb, vomit spewing lovelies. With subfactions I'd imagine it less likely to see these guys (gargants too) as there's not much to their faction. Personally I'd like to see troggoth get bigger, stronger and moved into the behemoth category, not gargant sized but around Morghasts size with some new keyword that makes them available to all. (Dog of War or something.) Or do you think they should somehow flesh out this faction as a whole with leaders, etc? And if so how could they go about doing that They're just so classic and I feel they've kinda slipped through the cracks. I mean the stone models are ancient!
