  1. If you do the first. You don’t need to do the second. the first is the reason the second happens But would be a hit typical of GW to overswing it like this 😅
  2. I read it more closely then I otherwise would have. And I can’t find confirmation of denial on this. It does state the grand allegiance book supersedes the monsters and mercenaries book. nor can I find a ruling on it in the core book. so my conclusion is: you can. You have a list of abilities, the slaughter queen matches all requirements. So why not?
  3. I’ll set up an onlyfans so you can ask me questions for a dollar, just so you can get the scoop 😉
  4. And I feel so strongly about this that I apperently posted it 4 times. .
  5. Between the bottle and the crossbar I’m starting to think devoted of sigmar.

  8. Don’t they also add things like strike first etc to your army? what heroes do you use then?
  9. In a setting like AoS a lot is possible. all the realms, except shyish is now inverted, get more crazy towards the edges as that is where magic gathers. so towards the edge of ghyran the life magic could become so strong that a city of sigmar could become very real freaky real fast. Where people who fall asleep next to a tree grow together into a hybrid. Where wounds overcompensate when healing and a broken leg might regrow as two new legs. And where armour made from giant beetles grows into the skin of the freeguild guard. You can basically do this for every realm. but alternatively a Skaven army would work very well. Especially with the clan moulder who’s whole existence is about mutation. That’s the basic story of the hell pit abomination and the rat ogres. Crazy rats trying to create bigger rats with mutating warpstone. And they, in the lore, do so on their lowly troops and servants as well. So you could go wild with that. but yeah, the choas gods are the easiest fits. But there is a lot possible.
  10. Yeah. I have my doubts on the head as well. Mostly because I’d like to make a bit more effort than normal on them. thansk!
  11. Then would advice on making the endrinriggers the fighting ones. they are better in combat. In a big unit it does get closer though. But in 2 units of three. Definitely saws over pikes. Edit: oh also don’t make my mistake of then making a unit of 6 with two special weapons it’s a bit of a waste. 😅 You need everything to do its part, and they need to be excellent at it. So Max saws and maybe one skyhook skywardens with shooting has a small advantage of the mines. But for me it’s mostly that they fit in the escort wing battalion. Although endrinriggers with shooting weapons can stay back together with your boats while healing them.
  12. Im about to build my first set of brutes. Any tips or must knows about (sub) assembly? will be building both boss options, a gore hacka and two double hacka brutes for Warcry
  13. I think the question is more about role than about Max efficiency as the differences are usually pretty small. for example. My thunderers are in a frigate. I want to be able to target whatever I want and dismantle the opponents synergies from as far away as possible. So it’s all rifles for them. All of the special weapons are wasted shots if I want to stay 18” away. my endrinriggers are there to take objectives. So I need them to be combat ready. So Max saws and maybe a skyhook. That way I get an extra move on an objective. If I shoot the opponent off I might still not be on an objective the pikes on skywardens are great if you set up a screen and then put them 2” behind the screen. That way they can pile in if your screen is charged, the skywardens can pile in and stab over your screen. But if you need a fast unit to threaten opponents the guns are a better option. so what’s you gameplay?
  14. Kangaroos, random fact incoming, actually flex their muscles to attract mates 😂
  15. Yeah it had more snake elements in it in ye olden days. Don’t know what the claw thing is either. I don’t get the tzeentch bird affection either. For a god that’s all about mutation and change.... he’s got a very recognisable M.O.
  16. I assume one half voted cow, 'just look at the curves!'. One half voted Lobster, 'But that strong claw to take charge with though!'. And then decided, 'well let's do a species hermaphrodite... seems very Slaanesh to me'. And then they all went home, slightly ashamed of what they had spent their day discussing.
  17. My pledge for this month is: base the last models and take a army picture. thereby closing my tale for now. I’m so distracted with Warcry warbands that I need to finish this project. On the other hand I’m likely to start a new one in January for my Ogors to rebase and touch up to a new level.
  18. No you won’t be that guy. If anything your being that narrative lovely dude as you want your model to face the right way. if you are changing the base size, then people might judge it as gamey. But on the same base size. No worries but out of curiousity. Which model is it.
  19. No, if i'm honest. Just no. It's not RAW vs RAI. You are adding layers that arent there. The whole 'going upstream' with rules questions doesn't work if you add things that aren't there. If you want to discuss this RAW, then you need to support your step 4. You decide to move 0" but it's an 'illegal move', your words. How can that be a choice? Also how can that be a rule? Do we now need to find a passage that says you can't do illegal moves? Also in step 2 and 3 you rightly state that you need to decide between stationary or a retreat. quote underneath for clarity. Units starting a normal move within 3" of an enemy unit can either remain stationary or retreat. If a unit retreats, it can move within 3" of an enemy, but must end the move more than 3" from all enemy units. But you skip that its a binary choice. When you choose retreat it comes with a restriction (ending outside of 3") and an option (to run). The moment you choose retreat, and gain acces to the run, you also gain the limitation. RAW there is no way you can get the run without the limitation. You are interpreting that a 0" move is the same as remaining stationary. In game terms that RAI. (and in my opinion als RAI wrong but that's besides the point).
  20. To simplify it: Step 1. You get to make the choice of remaining stationary or retreating because you are within 3”. Step 2. You choose to retreat now you must move to end up outside 3”. step 3. You decide if you also want to run as part of your move. But the obligation to end up outside 3” remains. as the choice to retreat comes before the choice to run. (Slightly separate thoughts but that have some bearing on this: 1. During the move phase I can’t ‘go back’ on my choice either. I can’t choose to run, but if my roll isn’t high enough decide I’m just normal moving. 2. The only tricky bit is if you need a certain roll on your run during a retreat to get outside of 3”. What if you don’t ro high enough? I would argue that’s the only case you can’t actually retreat and remain stationary after your choice because you can’t follow the requirement of getting outside of 3”)
  21. Yeah boi! Burn those streets. They are great fun!
  22. Wait.... those that mean your rat Ogors are diminutive and green? Seems like this master moulder has lost its way 🤔
  23. We’re not. There is one main very strong build. And a couple of offshoots. And even then you need to play very well to win. the term OP is a bit misplaced Imo. Becomes it makes you think it’s an auto win. It’s not. A 3 keepers list was pretty much an auto win. Still needs some skill. But a lot less. so don’t feel bad and try to learn from every game and as soon as you get your target priority right you’ll start winning more and more.
