  1. Remember me? I'm the guy who said that Hobgrotz reminded him of racist stereotypes about Asian people ... Well, maybe I kinda perhaps pre-ordered Dominion... So... Let's hope there are lots of non-Hobgrotz coming, and that a list with Beastskewers and crossbow boyz is viable.. 😅
  2. Calling Celennar, the Spirit of Hysh done for now.
  3. So, what you guys are saying is that Ymetrica eventually secured the 'Hysh's Top Nation' coffee mug from Syar since they field tough-as-nails 2- wound infantery as battleline that gets even tougher with the abundance of command points, doesn't have to rely on Auralan Legion rule, profits from better monster and hero rules and doesn't care about Miscasts since the battleline isn't relying Wizards to do their thing? Awesome! Finally the Scions of the Mountains SHALL REIGN SUPREME! 😍
  4. So not 200 - 240 for Sentinels, as some people in the Rumour Thread were suggesting.
  5. Though... I might be mistaken, but Ymetrica Stoneguard as Battleline with a hero to give them All-Out Defence as well as the extended use for Avalenor and Mountain Spirits... Could that be good, even without the Alarith Temple Batallion?!
  6. So, that would mean that Auralan Champions in such a batallion from Zaitrec would know 5 spells: Bolt, Shield, Overwhelming Heat and 2 of their oen choosing from the Lore of Hysh. That sounds like insane versatility! Just a shame that the odd miscast will auto-kill the Chamions as well.
  7. @Imrick of Ymetrica Oh my Floating Aelven Mage God, those are beyond amazing!!!! Probably the best Lumineth I've seen anywhere! Please tell me you're also going to do Teclis and/or a Mountain Spirit! And a Cathallar! And lots more!!! 😍 PS: Calling the base finished for the time being.
  8. So started working on Teclis and noticed that just the base alone is a huge piece of work. But it's kind of fun. Here's my progress so far:
  9. Decided to add some crystals to (at least) some of my Lumineth bases amd tried it on the Light of Eltharion first. What do you think? Next up ... THE ARCHMAGE!
  10. Thank you for clarifying. I wasn't going to take it personally anyway, but it's still nice that you cared to explain :). I usually try not to be overly sensitive and actually strongly argued against the assumption that Daughters of Khaine were sexist in another thread around here. But those Hobgrotz really rub me the wrong way..
  11. And, for those who think I'm imagining things, I'd like to remind you of this guy, Ghazak Khan, who is a Hobgoblin from the olden days:
  12. I'm definitely guilty of being a filthy leftist, but it is, in all honesty, the first thing that came to my mind when I first saw the models. And the fact that WHFB Hobgoblins had a 'Khan' certainly didn't help matters. If you decide to turn a blind eye to these things there might just be as much bias in your opinion as there is in mine.
  13. I really hope they flesh out the Kruleboyz a lot more and also give them their own Battletome. I'd like to be able to field them without the other Warclans and ideally without Hobgrotz. I'm not sure if I'm in the minority here, and I guess this might net me some confused emojis, but I think they are quite ugly and remind me of racist stereotypes (yellowish skin, slanted eyes).
  14. I did check back, and you can indeee pre-order on the 16th of June.
  15. This has nothing to do with list efficiency, but Vyrkos with Mannfred and without any named Vyrkos characters feels weird..
  16. Sooo, what does everyone think about the new rules for Heroes and Monsters in regards to our own entries in those caregories, like the Archmage or the Spirits of the Mountain?
  17. I for one have always had a deep and honest love for the dwarves in Warhammer Fantasy (while Fyreslayers and KO are not my cup of tea)... So the thought of these honorable warriors and engineers falling to Chaos was always abhorrent and disgusting. So I'd be happy if GW would never release Chaos Dwarves. But I'm afraid I'll be disappointed in that regard. Interesting that no one is talking about Malerion and his Shadow Demons / possible DOK-into-Umbraneth rework after the short story about him and Morathi.
  18. So, up until now I really wanted to play Ymetrica since I really like the Alarith aesthetic as well as the lore of the nation, but I'm growing increasingly annoyed with the fact, that the nation's rules do nothing for units except Stoneguard... Du you think it would be viable to turn things around and play Stoneguard, maybe a whole Alarith Temple battalion, in another nation? I'm not looking to go to any tournaments, just more casual games against friends.
  19. If... I mean if the intent was to give the Hobgrotz a more ... 'Asian' vibe, I'd really wish they wouldn't have given them slanted eyes. At least they don't have a single long braid at the back of their head.
  20. Thank you very much for the list analysis! The list seems very good, just painting 40 Wardens sounds like a nightmare right now. 😅 Just, if I may offer a small bit of hopefully constructive criticism: I understand that Spanish is your native language and that's absolutely fine, of course - it's an awesome language ! But your accent makes it a little hard to understand everything at times, at least when you talk faster. Maybe you could try to take it a little slower?
  21. Teclis didn't really change for Broken Realms: Teclis...apart from gaining six new spells. His cost stayed exactly the same.
  22. I think the focus on Deathrattle units in the Legion of Blood is actually a callback to the Vampire Lords of the Olden Days (WHFB 6th or 7th edition, I think). Back then Neferata's subfaction were called the Lahmia, and they had Skeletons as core units, but couldn't field Zombies. The reason was that the Lahmian vampires were all female and very decadent - they were disgusted by rotting flesh and preferred cleaner bone.
  23. It's so weird that the two-handed Graveguard weapons need a 4+ to wound while the normal weapons wound on a 3+ .. I mean, sure, since the option doesn't cost points you don't want to make the two-handed strictly better... But it's still weird.
  24. Hard to say with certainty, but after being so promimently featured in BR: Teclis I think Lumineth will sit back a little. Plus I think their imvolvement will focus on Malerion and the Daughters.
  25. Fyreslayers seem to be an even more interesting case than Daughters. When they came out I thought they looked pretty cool, and those lava lizard things are awesome as well. and from what I've heard they are doing well too. Slayers seemed to be popular part of dwarf lore, and I'd thought the army would appeal to the classic male wargamer stereotype. Doesn't exactly seem to be the case, and the very narrow and samey looking model range certainly doesn't help. Daughters in contrast are, as you've already mentioned Clan's Cynic, far more diverse by now, between bikini aelves, snake ladies, bat ladies and shadow assassins. I just for the life of me can't get into Doomfire Warlocks, but they aren't needed anyways. And if you want to get into the Scathborn side it's not even that pricey, since they are included in the StartCollecting and the Shadow and Pain box.
