  1. They might pull World of Warcraft cosmology of various primordial forces endlessly fighting. Not a Death player, but this is just ridiculous, Nagash always loses. In WHFB and AOS, always.
  2. Competitive aspect of new Hedonites aside, I was hoping for a lore flavored rules. As @Benkei pointed out from the beginning, with the exception of Glutos, I too feel like our rules are bland and dull.
  3. @Enoby @AngryPanda We will know the true state of Lumineth rules soon. After that, we can make some meaningful analysis and statistical data. One voice is a meaningless gesture, if we have to send a letter to GW, far better option is to include as many people as possible. @Ragest I am seeing two trains of thought, one seems to agree with you, the other says that new Lumineth will still be leagues ahead of Hedonites.
  4. @Enoby Excellent idea, that being said, let us wait a bit more until we get a look at Lumineth rules and their cost. It is possible that Hedonites and Lumineth are a introduction to how rules will be written in AOS 3, so if that is the case, that changes things a lot.
  5. Honestly, I hope the opposite. Kurnoth was flayed and buried by Allarielle near Wald, because he was too savage according to Dark Harvest book. Kurnothi should be their own, separate faction, for a proper and throughout exploration of themes and aspects of the God of Hunt.
  6. Remember, rules are temporary, models are forever! We can brag that we have some of the most beautiful models GW ever made. Though I must admit that I did expect a Black Library novel for our faction.
  7. Destruction faction are united under the various forms of Gorkamorka. Read the Dark Harvest book, Kurnoth is its own deity, with various aspects.
  8. Source for the boded part? I would love to read it.
  9. I mean, look at his appearance, as other have said, he has quite a lot of Celtic vibes to him. A Cernunnos deity belongs with Kurnothi, not among the Grand Alliance Destruction.
  10. This so much. If Kragnos ends up being a herald of some new Destruction faction, then I think Kurnothi will never see the light of day.
  11. See, for me, this is a thing that would blend beautiful with lore and philosophy of Kurnothi.
  12. Well, he could be Beastgrave itself. So one man army.
  13. Also, are Kurnothi not far more popular design than a purely Ogroid army?
  14. Kurnoth is buried under Wald, though he has awoken as of Dead Harvest. He too is looking to fully escape from his prison. But his people are not gone, Kurnothi live in the Realms. Kragnos said he escaped a prison, probably Beastgrave, but his people are gone. Silent People? They looked insect like, so not them. There is a possibility for a very intelligent BoC, just think of that albino lion headed beast-man called Ghosteater. Quite a philosopher.
  15. Silent People appearance was closer to insects, than centaurs.
  16. I would be beyond delighted to finally get a full Kurnothi faction, separate from Sylvaneth. There are four big problems with this: 1. Kragnos does not sound Kurnothi or Aelf. Indeed, it sounds more like BoC or something from Destruction alliance. 2. Take a look at his entire body, it is covered in too much metal. A avatar of Kurnoth would be all nature, not wearing trophies made of metal around his horse body and decorating his shield with metal. 3. Too little "nature ornamentation" for a important Kurnothi character. Go take a look at Orion and then look again at Kragnos. 4. Far too many Aelf factions. GW is smart, they gave us plenty of elves already, better wait a few years and then release Kurnothi for maximum orders.
  17. We will see. If new Lumineth and Soulblight prove to be far more powerful than us, then this entire idea of our faction being written for AOS 3 falls into trash. I truly hope that is not the case, but I suspect new Lumineth and Soulblight will be far better than we are at the moment.
  18. In the latest Broken Realms short story, I get the feeling that GW is teasing new Maggotkin units and characters.
  19. In the latest Broken Realms short story, I get the feeling that GW is teasing new Maggotkin units and characters.
  20. @Enoby Absolutely beautiful! Yours is among the most creative Slaaneshi armies I have seen in my life. I must admit, I can not wait to see what you do with Glutos.
  21. People, I have two questions regarding the Chaos Warcry warbands. I know that they can be used in Slaves to Darkness but they are, to put it polite, not very good in their rules and abilities. There was a recent FAQ but that did not change anything on a grand scale. 1. Is there any hope for these units, who truly look amazing, to finally get some proper rules so people can run them in Slaves to Darkness? 2. I am mostly interested in Splintered Fang, Unmade, Untamed Beasts and Scions of the Flame? Are there any viable ways to run them?
  22. Honestly, I do not know what happened to our internal balance. Even absence of play-testing date due to Covid-19 does not explain this. Question! People, how are you liking the new lore in our book? Hedonites, mortal or daemon, are all on the march towards Ulgu to worship the Newborn. I wonder if this Newborn story arc will actually go anywhere. Sigvald and Glutos are, per Broken Realms short story, going to Excelsis.
  23. As @Yoid said, there were far better ways of handling this issue. Also, if our Hedonites are designed for AOS 3, would not DoK be designed with same direction in mind? Because DoK definitely got better rules treatment than we did. Anyway, we will know soon as Lumineth 2 battletome and rules are up. Like others said already, we have a problem of internal balance, not just external.
