Skaven already have literal rat swarm models, Sylvaneth can already summon trees, Beasts of chaos already have bulls, etc but those endless spells are all a thing 😅

Which would explain why some of the warscrolls on their site are accidentally left outdated compared to warscrolls in the app.

Pushing a batch update would be the normal thing to do. Not sure what they are doing. Maybe they are afraid of ****** up the site, but they should have a development test server for that...

Very happy about that, she is actually usable now. Alarielle's warscroll was just not strong enough to justify those extra 60 points anymore.

See where you're coming from but also greatly disagree: -If they're likely to be "serious tournament players" as you say, that means that serious tournament players judged this faction to be strong enough to pickup very early, and are succeeding heavily against other serious tournament players as well. -These people have also had the least practice with this new faction yet are still dominating. Sure you could say the opponents have also not had a chance to practice against them, but their opponents are at least experts with their own faction vs noobs with a new faction. -The reason this high win rate pattern of new factions is a thing is actually because of the general power creep of GW's releases. It is pretty self-evident, even if some releases are not quite as OP as others.

It is official that they are getting a points change, I have no clue how much change though. It is in the GHB errata right now that sylv points have changed, so the Sylvaneth Battletome Errata should appear soon.

Crazy that Slaanesh isn't on there, EDIT: hopefully it's rule changes instead then. The lack of Seraphon, KO, Tzeentch further supports that their battletomes arrive early in 2020, not later.

Sure the spells are close range, but doesn't that fit with S2D supposedly being a quite durable high-wound-count melee army? Wouldn't it be strange if they had as much ranged and spellpower as magic-based armies / glass-cannon armies?

Comparing to the new big models, anyone else hoping that Alarielle gets a small point reduction in the upcoming points review (maybe down to 620 points)? It seems sad that at essentially 460 points (subtracting the summon) she only has the beetle attack as an actual threatening attack, and defense is meh. She is costed high for being a wizard when she only has one okayish spell, and these days there are so many things that negate magic. What point value do you think would make Alarielle relevant without overdoing it? Obviously due to her heal if she was too low she would always be a must-take...

Although I completely understand (and tbh agree with) the core point you're making through parody, it might be worth not being condescending about it.. I don't think we have to ridicule each other to explain your side..

It's GW- If they're fine with alternate dimensions, I'm sure they wouldn't be opposed to alternate timelines...

I have so, so many questions. I am 100 percent on board until I see anything negative. I think each team is unique so I'm anxious to see how this new dedicated team will treat the old world. It goes without saying, but based on the team this could end up being the best thing ever or literally the worst thing...

By far the worst deal out of any of the boxes. The Skaven box is the lowest total MSRP value yet the highest priced battleforce. Also, any actual pestilens player would have already bought the Start Collecting that is for some reason in this battleforce many times over already... and likely before the price hike artificially raised the value. A 5th screaming bell would just end up in the trash anyway.

They did hard price rises across a very wide range of the older models too. It was bad timing for the culling.

I think it's because even if people actually are priced out now, nobody wants to simply outright say "I quit" on a hobby they've invested heavily into or enjoyed for years. So for now, people are switching to their backlogs rather than facing a decision on whether they can buy new models anymore. As for existing AoS customers, I think we will not see the long term effects on them for a while yet. To further confound the data, more and more new customers have come onto AoS since 2.0- whether from 40k or as brand new tabletop gamers. I personally predict their sales rate is going to be a roller coaster of some kind in the near future.
