  1. I thought about that! I don't have the book yet so I wasn't sure if they still had the vampire keyword or not!
  2. I've been looking over the Soulblight stuff that's released before the tome and I wonder: does anyone have a list idea for a vargheist-heavy list? Is Legion of Night the default option, even if I plan on taking plenty of zombies and dire wolves?
  3. In all fairness, a lot of Ork Boyz are essentially infants and they get blasted into chunky salsa all the time. Maybe it's different because they're having fun?
  4. So the current belief is Hobbit-style greenskins, between orruks and grots. Sort of "lean orcs", I guess. Swamp or cavern dwellers. And the name of these friendly gits is "Cruelboys". I wonder what will make them stand apart as a Destruction faction from Gloomspite and Warclans? Would they even be a separate faction, or an additional "third subtype" in Warclans?
  5. Thank you so much for making me aware of this. I'm loving it!
  6. Has Grimdark Live had a good track record with rumors so far?
  7. I don't like to anticipate anything until I've seen it myself but I have to admit I have a powerful interest in Silent People as a faction and will be so disappointed it they aren't it. Having said that, twisted LOTR-style goblins do appeal to me as well. So I feel like I could get behind that.
  8. I'm going to add to this, if it please you all. The totem on Kragnos' base is called out in the Warhammer Community article, and while there is no specific mention of the Silent People there is an implication. We have a number of insectoid Rumour Engine images and while the Sylvaneth Hatbug is off the table there are still a number of suspicious ones remaining. And then there's the new army trailer. Skaven and Beasts players have been pretty vocal about wishing for updates, and many people have been clamoring for fimir, but I think there's a case to be made for a Silent People reveal some time in the future. Gosh, I hope so. I'd be all over that.
  9. "You speak of knowledge, Judicator? You speak of experience? I have journeyed through the darkness between the most distant stars. I have beheld the births of negative-suns and borne witness to the entropy of entire realities… Unto my experience, Aldaris, all that you’ve built here on Aiur is but a fleeting dream. A dream from which your precious Conclave shall awaken, finding themselves drowned in a greater nightmare."
  10. We've been an afterthought army literally as long as we've been a thing.
  11. I pretend they're in Witness Protection. "Khagra the Ravager? No, that's Julie Smith, newly moved to the Bloodwind Spoil."
  12. I'm okay with it. It isn't worse than I'd expected and I err on the side of thematic over competitive as a personal preference.
  13. I've been looking forward to a Hyshian city! I had a feeling there would be one since there's Collegiate Arcane box coming with the book. Light Wizard general with Flagellant battleline, Phoenix Temple, and both Lumineth and Stormcast friends. I don't care how competitive it is, my army of light is a go!
  14. It seems to tie into Beastgrave and the book will be called "Broken Realms: Kragnos". Who Kragnos is, there's no way of knowing yet.
  15. It would be nice if this was a centigor, that's all I'm saying.
  16. Thanks as always for your work! I was wondering if Idolator Lords was something that would fit into the Slaves to Darkness list? Edit: I was looking at an older version, my mistake! Thanks so much for all the hard work!
  17. I think a Warhammer Community article made a point to say having a Lord of Pain as one of the Invaders generals unlocked them, yes. Found it. I know it's just a Community article and they don't really deal with rules but it's something . https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/02/10/3-decadently-different-ways-to-build-your-hedonite-host/
  18. I don't play competitively but from what I've read Idolators aren't a good Dread Legion (though the last errata certainly helped them). For the best list I think Marauders are pretty popular, and your choice of Legion determines what else you field.
  19. In Idolators, you can give a mark to Warcry units. It HAS to be the same mark as your Idolator Lord, however. Which means you need to have an Idoloator Lord, naturally.
  20. If I remember correctly, you couldn't field daemon-only armies until the Storm of Chaos book. Your general choice DID reflect what counted as Core choices but I don't recall the specifics.
  21. The period of mourning that follows initial rules leaks is as inevitable as the dawn
  22. Ah, dang. I'm still going to get and play Slaangors, but I do feel a little sad they seem to be lacking in comparison with other Beasts options. But at the end of the day: Live fast, die young, and leave a horned and crab-handed junkie corpse.
  23. Just to clarify, what was the complaint about Slaangor? Too much glass, not enough cannon?
