All terrains are about to be removed and thats why GW released a mawmpit for ogres?

With rules that come in a book that won't be legal to play in 4 months.

A scenery is a scenery, having rules or not. Do you have the new mawpot? Great, put It in your table to play some AoS, just that.

He gave me once a 'Thanks' when I mentioned that Kurnothi are just Kurnoth worshipers, not fauns and centaurs. Some time after we got Belthanos... so I think this argument is not solid enough. Which would be sad.

Thanks for the clarification. I guess all that's left is to wait and see what happens now then.

On another note I read the newest Dawnbringers story and with the mention of

Spoiler

the death of Threx Skullbrand and Vekh the Flayer could it be time for Blades of Khorne to get some new hero models to replace them?

Maybe it's just the name Beasts of Chaos that's going, with a slew of new models? Just like how Legions of Nagash got morphed into Soulblight Gravelords.

I think you’re onto something here.
I’d like to remind everyone that the rumour from THC was that Beasts as we know them are going the way of the dodo. Just like Freeguild as we knew them in AoS2 are gone - because they’ve been replaced by new CoS models.

Lets put those cogforts on the offensive of the minis production line 🤑

Likely will next edition or so. They already shown off the smaller Border Walker design variant enough and with steamtanks in TOW they already have an out for that model.(though I hope they drag their feet on that since the last few tournaments were won by steamtank spam, would suck to have your force squatted like that and it can’t be easy to put a big model like that on legs to convert 😆)

on the rest of today’s news.

Very happy my boy Gavriel Sureheart got in today’s story!(loved him when he came out, his backstory of Grub and love his model, favorite in my collection!)

That finally rounds up every older major Stormcast character to get a moment to shine in the campaign but one! Can’t wait to see what Aventis Firestrike will inevitably do about the siege being the magister of Aqshy. :D 🔥

The blackspire is definitely interesting with its ominous presence. With Ionus’ & Cthorak’s touching conversation about “a Stormcast saves his friends” and it’s Relictor nature which is the Temple of Ages that controls the flow of time I wonder if it’s gonna put souls in stasis until the reforge fix can be found? (That way they can retire the old models due to bloat and bring them out new in the future. Certainly GW’s productions probably wish they could freeze time. 😂)

I think Beast of Chaos will just get revamped. Kinda suspect it’ll happen late in 4th edition with Bonesplitterz too as our links back to the Era of the Beast and Ghur as we move on from it(both were the main antagonists in the Thondian tome afterall)

Their heroes from the first starter set also fell in The Long Hunt so they’re probably gearing up for some big hero replacements & even revivals into daemons.

They Made Dromm for Underworlds and then did the Realmgore Ritualist, both with a meso-american aesthetic. I always figured that that was a sign that Khorne would be getting new units with a similar look

Among other interesting bits:

"Vedra has even ordered the cogforts on the offensive."
and
"A half-finished shell of black stone piercing the clouds like a needle through pale cloth, similar in design to the buildings of the Relictor temples...the duardin who were working on it"

Cogforts and dispossessed coming soon*coping*

Historically, the movements about various races/factions have actually panned out into model releases: Chaos Duardin are the latest example of that happening in slow motion: I'm a huge fan of Steam Tanks, but with their imminent arrival in TOW I don't really feel FOMO about getting them right now today. If the Cogfort is cool looking, I could 100% see myself getting into an armored Cities force with both vehicles.

Always love hearing about the duardin when they pop up: the vow of silence and white beards both stick out to me. Have they been working for that long? Does this tower require experienced master craftsmen? If the Duardin are building it I'd wager its safe to say Grungi knows what's up, and I'm with y'all hoping it's creepy and stormcast related! Grungi, as far as the grombrindal novel is concerned, still feels very close to sigmar and feels he's in a debt to help him (and is glad to do so)

Imma keep riding my "I'd really like to see the Repossesed Duardin and Grombrindal" horse until the cows come home! Between too-reforged stormcast, cogforts on the offensive, and mystery duardin doing mysterious stuff I'm stoked to see what spirals out of that story.

Are they going to circle back to the lightning gheists trapped in the big stormcast statues near the anvil of apotheosis? I'd love to see Grungi and Sigmar try and half-fail to save them!

Sad to see the "beastmen are on the outs" post get more credibility, but fortunately with TOW the models themselves won't be lost. Hoping we're in a situation where the period with "no beastmen in AoS" is a transitionary one to whatever they become.

This going to read like pure copeium, but why would BoC be any different to StD, Freeguild, 'Ardboyz etc with AoS getting new sculpts and the old models remaining in production for TOW? Like Lizardmen and Skaven, Beastmen are one of those things people look at and instantly think "Games Workshop(tm) PLC" and we know how obsessed modern GW is with it's IP.

Also, we didn't get the new Beastlord that long ago. I know that doesn't necessarily save an army (Silver Tower comes to mind here), but it'd still be strange. I just can't see them going the way of the dodo.

What do you mean? GW still protects it IP because Beastmen are still a Games Workshop product. So even "if" they are removed from AoS, they are still sold under the TOW banner and thus a GW product.

Also thanks to decades of Warhammer and Total War: Warhmmaer, lots of people still link it to Warhammer instead of AoS.

I don't understand, Whitefang has said that BoC will be cancel from AoS or it's just again a fear reasonless like Bonesplitterz ?

I don't find clues about it;

I don't think anything is confirmed at all.

So, what was the mainstream opinion?
- BoC will be completely removed from AoS; gors and ungors will be merged into the other Chaos armies. <- @Whitefang, say "Thanks"
- BoC will evolve by the grace of Morghur, becoming something completely different from the traditional beastment (thus, in practical terms, being removed from AoS). <- @Whitefang, say "Like"

The end of times for AoS has arrived. The Dawnbringers books end with the defeat of all the villains.
TOW will be the main game, the success of the launch, the video game and the overwhelming following on networks has tipped the balance.
Go sell everything you have before you are left with useless plastic.

Good detail about the statues. Maybe their dreadnought like mini is something like an statue.

Finally, the sign I was waiting for to sell all my miniatures.

Wow, even the King with the Delusion crown. Awesome!

Yeah, the book has a bit of a narrative where the court of a certain ghoul king (I don't recall the name) abducts a mortal painter and forces them to paint portraits of various nobles in the court, and while they at first paint them as they see them, they slowly give into the delusion and start painting them as the upstanding nobility that they see themselves as. It's a nice touch with the portraits and the knowledge that they're being painted by someone in universe.

That’s my thought. People thought Stormcast were purely golems at the start(though it does happen with them becoming living storms in armor) so with their new armors magnifying their human warrior elements it’d make sense to bring back the golem warriors.

Would especially fit if Chamon, Gholemkind and Skaven exo-skeletons are next with even Chuardin body mecha to move their stone forms around being things for big mechanized melees. 💪 🤖

Picture these guys but stormcast, would be totally awesome.

Lol, what a first post... I assume you are sarcastic. Although I do hope that TOW will increase in importancy, but it shouldn't come at a to great cost for AoS. I quite like that TOW is done by the specialist games department. They have a lot more freedom. I.e they aren't restricted by the main studio "first a miniature than rules" dogma. Cecil Gastonne is a good example of this. Digital rules epub/ibook is also great.. would love to see this again for AoS too.

Honestly wouldn’t be surprised.

Y’all look up the Adamantine Chain where the Spire is located?

it’s massive volcano chain central that’d be perfect to forge fiery golem bodies for stasis souls while Skaven, Duardin fighting to reclaim their lost homes and Duardin that fell to dark gods battle to claim it’s forge powers.

I would be so beyond down for this: I don't think I even considered that the thing could be the statue or be huge!! I would love a big angry Sigmar/Stormcast statue stuffed with insane Stormcast gheists!! An effect similar to the swarm of ghosts around Nagash would be cool; emphasizing that the gheists are bound to the statue! I've been able to resist stormcast so far, but with the Start Collecting! stuff for them on the outs, I may impulse buy a few of the chonky boys to integrate into their reboot unit as a "huge" body type vibe

Can't hype Mierce up enough! Got in on their black friday sale last fall (they regularly have fantastic sales) and picked up the bear, boars, and the giant sharkman. Some of the best sculps I own full-stop! The camels are cool (though I think minotaur-sized iirc) and I'm going to be trying to find excuses to pick up some of their other stuff! The giant sharkman in particular obliterated my hopes/expectations, though tbh they all somehow looked even better in person. Really great stuff over there!
