  1. Some interesting background on the recent announcements:
  2. There was a story doing the rounds a few years ago that only 20% on GW's customers actually play. Their primary customer base is hobbyists and collectors.
  3. The Spider Incarnate has supposedly been ditched, as has Gallet I believe. From what I've heard said they're trying to move production away from China, why is why that one, and a few others have fallen by the wayside. There were rumours a few months ago that the existing Incarnate would be going too for that reason. For Orruks, my assumption is that the long-yerm goal is to have Ironjawz and Kruleboyz as two completely separate factions, and at that point you probably don't want to be supporting three Orruk factions. It will be interesting to see what the new background included in the PDFs for BoC and Bonesplitterz is. Could we see hints of potential replacements?
  4. Most of the SCE stuff is probably about the be replaced. Sad for BoC and Bonesplitterz players though
  5. Speaking of Weird Beasts of Chaos things - how can only one of these be out of stock? It's the same kit for both!
  6. No they don't. That's the real issue here. Soulblight Gravelords is a fully supported AOS army. Vampire Counts is a "Legends" TOW faction that got a single free PDF of rules, and will be getting no further support. GW, for whatever reason, appear to have decided that they want to minimise overlap between AOS and TOW. There are some core factions that both settings need to have - Chaos Warriors, Orcs and Goblins etc, but Beastmen don't fall into that category. It's that logic more than anything else that started the rumours that they were going.
  7. I was wondering about that. Getting an Index doesn't guarantee getting a new battletome though. The factions being legended out of TOW got one free PDF ruleset, and then will be getting nothing else. BoC getting a free index PDF, and then nothing else would be consistent with that - especially if there's a replacement faction on the horizon
  8. The "Encroaching Ruin" Aetheric Domain from the Horus Heresy PDF is described like this: I can't quite decide how well it describes the GHR, but it could be a mantle that he has taken on now that he's a full chaos god.
  9. Thank you so much for this. I was able to find the free PDF that this is from, if anyone else wants to read it: https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/JXRAKYvl3BrGbGjD.pdf Starts at page 12 Edit; interesting that the GHR has the Dominion that The Dark king would probably have in 40k
  10. There were copyright issues with Malal that forced them to remove him from the setting IIRC.
  11. Hashut is certain, as we already have Horns of Hashut, and Chorfs are all but guaranteed. Morghur seems pretty likely. A gavespawn faction to replace BoC if they leave would make sense. That would leave only one - Could Vashttor come over from 40k, or does he not really fit?
  12. At the very least we need another Hamilcar novel
  13. He's certainly less of a despot that Big E, but they've still been pushing the Azyrite colonialism theme quite heavily lately.
