Ansuz
After some tests with the official paint scheme for the Fyreslayers, I decided that I needed something with colder tone, and specifically some blue in it. Honestly this was the original scheme that came to my mind the first time I saw this figures and judging by the result, I think I made the right choice. I'm not a good painter, so I only aspire to paint my army to a decent tabletop quality. The scheme is quite fast and once perfected I'll be able to complete a figure in two hours. It's also batch painting friendly. Just tell me what do you think. C&C are welcome.
graemelyon
I think you can very rarely go wrong with a turquoise-y shade, and that looks fab. A whole army painted like that will be extremely eye-catching.
Khorne_on_the_cob
As a fellow fyreslayer player myself, I love the idea and a full themed force like this would be quite unique to see on the table. Great job
Gaz Taylor
I really love this scheme! You painting is really nice but the scheme is brilliant!
Soulsmith
The pale skin and turquoise scheme are awesome, nice one. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
yarrickson
Really great colours. Think a force like that would be very very cool.
Kerrick
Great work! They'll look really good on top of Jango's ice table... Keep the paint flowing!

MyGeekyPersona
Nice work. You do yourself a disservice by saying that you're not a good painter - you clearly have more than handy brush skills and an eye for a nice colour scheme. For me, the only bit that I don't like is the copper/gold - I think that the warm colour clashes too much with your cold palette. If I was you I'd experiment with a metallic black, or a metallic blue - the Scale75 one looks good, but I've never used it myself. I'll be watching your blog with interest. Ansuz
Thanks for all your comments! I also had doubts with using gold, but the ur-gold theme is too strong fluff-wise to ignore. After aplying it, I think it gives the scheme a nice contrast.
Lucifer
Adore the scheme and agree, it needs the gold to contrast -keep it subtle though

Ansuz
Finally found some time to start painting my Yceslayers. After finishing the test model I decided to paint the eyes in blue and add some snow to the bases. Really happy with the result. C&C welcome.
