  1. Depends... From Nighthaunt, there'll still be the Black Coach, Chainghasts, Bladegeists, Harridans, blisters of the heroes (Lord Executioner has an alternative model, at least, and I guess Knight of Shrouds will too? Guardian of Souls has that store anniversary alternative, maybe a third one as a paid blister?)... and if they do multipart Glaivewraiths and Myrmourns, those too.
  2. Again, Nagash is a giant skeleton in a big hat who turns healing women into frenzied murderers for the crime of keeping souls from him for a little longer. There is no conceivable universe where he is a good guy.
  3. Sorry. No, there's no summoning of units- you can regenerate models but once a unit is gone, it's gone.
  4. I spent this afternoon/evening getting the ectoplasm kicked out of me, and I have some thoughts. I hate Treemen. I hate Retributors. I took the following (20 points over but he was 10 points over and we called it even): Allegiance: NighthauntLeadersKnight of Shrouds on Ethereal Steed (140)- General- Trait: Ruler of the Spirit Hosts - Artefact: Midnight Tome Guardian of Souls with Nightmare Lantern (140)Spirit Torment (120)Lord Executioner (80)Battleline20 x Chainrasp Horde (160)10 x Grimghast Reapers (140)3 x Spirit Hosts (120)Units8 x Glaivewraith Stalkers (120)Total: 1020 / 1000Extra Command Points: 0Allies: 0 / 200Wounds: 68 My main takeaway was that I really need to remember rules. In my defence, it was only my second full game of AoS, I forgot my allegiance abilities entirely. Entirely! I missed so many synergies, and as a result got my spooky butt handed to me. Things started off well, I bubble-wrapped properly, murdered his Spite Revenants with my Spirit Hosts, did a lot of damage to his Dryads with my Grimghast Reapers, put 4 wounds on his Stormcast general with the Glaivewraith Stalkers and the Knight of Shrouds killed the Branchwych. Then the Retributors came down, his Treelord did some movement shenanigans and everything started to fall apart. The Retributors slowly murdered their way through my left flank, killing the Spirit Hosts and the Grimghast Reapers. The Treelord squashed the Guardian of Souls, a Grandhammer just flat out annihilated the Executioner and I started getting unlucky with my rolls. When he got a double turn going from battle round 3-4, it was all over. The Chainrasps, the Spirit Torment and the Knight of Shrouds held out in the centre, making an attempt to kill the Treeman, but his 3+ rerolling 1s save was just too much, and he was healing himself with Regrowth. He surrounded me and murdered me, though the Knight of Shrouds killed the Stormcast general who had survived with one wound for most of the game. Curses! So, main thoughts: Remember your rules! Gotta use them synergies. Starsoul Maces are BÜLLS**T. Wildwoods are infuriating. The Spirit Torment is really good. Get some rend.
  5. A question I'm finding myself wondering. The basic Chaos allegiance abilities are better than Skryre's... Depends on what you're playing for I suppose. In-game viability or narrative coolness.
  6. Oh, I'm using all of them! Between the Veer-Myn heads I still have and finding out that the Warp Lightning Cannon actually comes with three gas mask heads (and I have three Warp Lightning Cannons!) I ought to have enough bits to make ten more Acolytes on top of the ten I've already built. I'm also just building some regular Stormvermin, so the entirety of these two boxes of blackrats is getting utilised!
  7. What do people get out of it though? Nagash is a giant boney dude with a big hat who offers you the chance to serve him eternally by being a skeleton, or maybe, if you're lucky, a dooting skeleton.
  8. WRT Acolytes, I used mostly Stormvermin after seeing rhamah_ do it on Instagram. Heads are from a mix of Doomwheel, Warplightning Cannon and Mantic Veer-Myn, backpacks are from Adeptus Mechanicus Skitarii and throwing arms are from Ghouls.
  9. You guys are mad. It's the new Stormcast Eternals Harmonic chamber opening.
  10. I don't see how there's any argument on the matter tbh. Sigmar might do some dodgy stuff, but Nagash is a giant skeleton who wants everyone to die forever. I mean... come on man.
  11. While it does feel thematic that 50% of our artefacts hurt us, I really don't think the benefits outweigh the negative. There should be more of a risk/reward mechanic built in, like with overcharging the weapons teams and war machines.
  12. If they truly are "the new GW", they'll give the people what they want, and that is Slaanesh with no trousers.
  13. Dedication, but I think using a picture of yourself as your avatar was a bit too much. ?
  14. Facebook called, it said you are hopelessly, disastrously mistaken ?
  15. I've seen a lot of people talk about using Daughter of Khaine Khinerai as effective allies. The ranged ones I think?
  16. You monster! I guess that goes for any big chunky unit too.
  17. Ooooh those are some really beautiful lizards... and are those turtle warriors I see?
  18. Good ol' face-palming Optimus Prime, he always gets me noticed and he's also usually appropriate in one way or another!
  19. Same insufferable eejit, yup! Were you Overread on there too (I don't remember the username) or someone else?
  20. Having bought into both the Daughters of Khaine and the Idoneth Deepkin, I'd appreciate it if they got Endless Spells (I'd appreciate if they could package Daughters heroes individually too but hey...).
  21. Before 2018 I would have called @Kugane a maniac with a madman's dream, but three new armies, an update for Stormcast, a new edition and a magic supplement (plus everything else) by July? I'm still doubtful they'd release another box set in the same year as Soul Wars, but clearly anything's possible now.
