  1. Well, in Dystopian Wars rolling 6s was way more decisive as not only they were worth two successes, but they "exploded" (i.e. keep the result, reroll and add the new result. Eventually rerolling again in case of another 6). Never been a fan of the mechanic, honestly: rewarding 6s TWICE was a bit too much, for me.
  2. What I would like to see, it's mini expansions with, say, a new model (like the leaders for GC and Mech) with its card and maybe a new ability. I.e. release one new mounted model for every faction. This would benefit AoS too, with a small fresh release for factions that maybe aren't seeing a release by years (never been a fan of GW way to release stuff overhauling one faction at a time. Way better -IMHO- how many other companies update their games with constant smaller releases every other month or so, for every faction).
  3. Aaw, man, you're making me itching for iNfinity again... stopped playing it because is a very demanding game that requires constant play or you're going to forget all mods and abilities. And att I were not able to dedicate the attention it demands and deserves. But it is such a great game and also a very "different" one. It has some aspects that no other miniature game has (sometimes it feels like a stealth videogame, at other times it's more like a tower defense, all during the same match). Really a great game and a game like no other. Ok, end of OT, sorry... ^^;
  4. Start collecting box is tempting, but I totally dislike the look of GW ghouls. I think I'll go for the Mantic ones. I will just get the character that comes with the Carrion Empire box if/when it will be released as stand-alone purchase, to use it as "ghoul leader" if I will ever feel to try a warband led by it.
  5. I'm not very versed in competitive/tournament play. This said, evaluation of a game's unpredictability is -to me- never an isolated aspect, but something I compare to other aspects. I mean, the same amount of "randomness" could make one game more fun to me, and bother me to no end in another game. It all depends on the scope of the game and the complexity of its rulebook. Without making names, to avoid discussions on specific games, if a ruleset is more complex (thus demanding more focus from the player) I want it's unpredictability to be low, same if a game it's more focused on competitive play and its ruleset has low to no room for "flavor play". To the other hand, I enjoy a higher degree of unpredictability in games mainly focused on narrative play.
  6. Depending on the spell/effect/ability, it could be quite easy to build a token out of your bitz box. These are my Mystic Shield tokens:
  7. I don't know, sorry. But if I have to guess, I would say it was generic. Here in Italy -besides supermarkets- receipt detailing goods aren't very common.
  8. Two experiences in recent years, one first hand, the other form a close friend: I have been refused the arm of a Bloodstoker from my T&B box (clearly broken still on sprue, also no missin bit) because I had no receipt (box is a gift, at the time I had already received by some time already, so even the original gifter had not the receipt anymore). I complained to GW store clerk and he offered to replace it to me, but at that point I was so upset I refused and bought a spare one on the web (the inquisitorial attitude from the customer care made me feel like I was begging and/or trying to stole something from them). To the other hand, a friend of mine got two identical decks in one of his Shadespire warband. He had the receipt and he got a full box delivered to his address, no question asked (once he sent pic of his receipt). So the lesson here is: keep your receipt in the boxes until you actually build the models.
  9. Yeah, I've learned this right in yesterday game: left the champion as the last man and he left (ingloriously) the game due to battleshock, so without triggering No Respite.
  10. Played a game today: 1K points vs Nighthaunts My list was mostly the old starter set: Mighty Lord Of Khorne (120) - General Bloodsecrator (140) Bloodstoker (80) Slaughterpriest with Hackblade and Wrathhammer (100) UNITS 10 x Blood Warriors (200) -Goreaxes - 1 x Goreglaives 5 x Blood Warriors (100) -Goreaxe & Gorefist 20 x Bloodreavers (140) -Reaver Blades 1 x Khorgoraths (90) Friend list was: 2x Cavalry, 2x Bases of ghosts, Hero with locks, hero with staff (wizard), Hero on winged horse. Played a scenario with 4 objective, placed like a cross, with varying value depending on how far they are from your deployment. Neat game, I lost every initiative roll, but managed to win 12-8 I have to say Bloodstoker and Korghorat did very well, it seems to me they're not frequently played. Am I wrong? Bloodstoker has quite a number of attacks and a useful ability, well worth its 80 points imho. A question about Blood Warriors No Respite: the attack get all bonuses and special rules as performed during a regular activation? i.e. reroll 1s for double Goreaxes, +1 attack for Bloodsecrator, etc... Reading the rules, I would say so, but friend seemed doubtful...

    Superb brushwork! Paintjobs this level are inspiring and demoralizing at the same time.
