  1. It doesn’t stack as it’s an aura affect as opposed to the model granting an ability. The wording says you roll if the model being allocated the wound is in range of a shrine. There are other examples of an aura not stacking eg blood secrator and aspiring deathbringer.
  2. A jungle in the realm of life. Using a system like blackstone where The initial cards are exploring the jungle and then the battle cards are eg temples, villages etc to explore
  3. I manage to pause it on that spot. I agree look like the current start collecting boxes, 17 are listed if I counted right but 18 are on the gw page. Most I recognised eg seraphon but some too blurry to see if new or current . There are quite a few plans and a page or 2 at least of rules for skirmish Also some shadespire stuff in there. Looks like maps and rules. I saw something on mercenaries for kill team and crimson fists Managed to get the back cover
  4. Hey Khorne dogs. I need some advice - should I buy wrath and rapture? I mainly run a mortal army based around gorepilgrims and summon in what I need. In terms of daemons for summoning I have the following 10 blood letters, 1 wrath of khorne thirster, skull cannon and heard on foot. Plus a prince, I know can't be summoned. I don't play in tournaments but likewise want to give my opponents a good game with an army that doesn't fold instantly. The gore pilgrims lists I use tend to meet that requirement. I have noticed I tend to have more tithe than models to summon. I was initially quite excited by wrath and rapture, but the rules and points changes are making me rethInk. It seems 20 letters would be a more worthwhile investment for now, then hounds when released singly.
  5. It's clearly clearly 'inch slat' and my khorne army will trample any one who says otherwise! I also confess that I agree with @dewidiot re the daughters and their rules being clear and understandable.
  6. I do like a Taco Bell, any eatery that can feed you for less than 5 pounds can't be bad (or healthy). Although I prefer Barburrito. U.K. Only though?

  8. My resolution is to Mainly hobby and have fun 😀 I would like to try and get some of the following done Complete the daemon part of my khorne army and add some more fun mortal units Get my Idoneth to 2k over the year, currently 1200 Complete some as of yet to be determined box sets (a couple from silver tower, rogue trader, blackstone, wrath and rapture, space hulk) Maybe create a table Compete in store AoS tourney again Maybe try a regular AoS tournament Play mores games at my local club in Bury, UK Try my narrative campaign again, maybe
  9. I'll still be getting wrath and rapture but at least there is less pressure to paint a ton of letters now. I like that battalion though, if it is in match play I can see it getting use in combo with pilgrims. I hereby brand it Fetch!
  10. Holidays a coming https://www.warhammer-community.com/2018/12/09/pre-order-preview-wrath-and-rapture/
  11. Maybe all this talk of dark crystal and watership down has been to much and they are having hideous childhood flashbacks to soul draining scenes and muttering 'bright eyes', have we broken the painty men?
  12. I think Slaanesh will be the winners w the box and get some idea of their abilities. I think we may get a battalion for the units in the box, which could be interesting. I hope blood cruchers get an update but I am not holding my breath.
  13. So Wrath and Rapture has sigmar rules in it, which I would fully expect to include warscrolls. Do we anticipate any changes to khorne scrolls in the box? It could be an opportunity for GW to revisit some of them. Maybe make blood crushers better for example or change how blood letters do MW? Maybe even add some alliegience abilities similar to nurgle? I don't recall if blight war changed any scrolls for the included units.
  14. I played my fourth game with deepkin last night and won on points against night haunt, he destroyed more poInto than I managed to though. The sheer number of models was painful to get through - it seems horde armies are a bit of a weakness for us? Oddly. The reavers were MVP, holding an objective for 5 rounds despite constant onslaught from a huge unit of chainrasps. The king was a beast again, jadewound thorn synergises nicely with him. Enjoying the army a lot, currently I have about 1k and was going to stop there, but the army had me hooked and I expect to end up at 2k 🙂
  15. Definitely Karanak, look at the shadow on the poster
  16. 2k but similar concepts apply, although I will admit khorne I find khorne a difficult army at 1k. Obvious things are play on a 4x4 with scenery, also use the open war scenario generator. one fun trick at 1k could be Sayl the faithless and some khorne marked chaos warriors. Teleport them near the bow men and then whip on your bloodletters while he deals with the warriors
  17. That's great! It's making me think that my kids are at an age where they need a bit of puppet related fear. Maybe this Saturday night is sorted
  18. You are always going to be shoot v a shooting army, which sounds obvious, but it means something will be shot and lost. The trick then is to make the opponent choose so you decide what he shoots eg keep the big guy out of range so he can't be shot or plan for it to be shot. While that is happening get your chaff in. In my example above I had a scary blood thirster whic was thrown forward, opponent had to deal with it w shooting or it would have blown his genera away. In that time while they are in 'cover' the rest of my army moves into to position to claim objectives and score points while reaver chaff is whipped in behind the thirster to then snarl up the bastiladon shooting. Yes expensive to lose a thirster but it paid in that the 3 or 4 turns the reavers were in the bastiladons faces meant the bastiladons could not move or shoot the summoned blood letters or resummoned thirster or the units camping the objectives.
  19. One thing to consider is to feed them chaff. Thy can only shoot the nearest unit so feed them reaver and other cheap units one after another and let the rest of the army murder his. Use the tithe to summon reinforcements. I once used 4 lots of 10 reavers to hold up 2 bastiladons for 3 turns. Having them only able to kill 70 points of reavers a turn was infuriating, especially as the tithe brought in letters to also feed it 👍
  20. Sadly gorecleaver would still be a 6. So it no longer synergises as well with his 6+ for max damage. 👎 If I run him again I am tempted to use eg jadewound thorn which is MW on a 6+ in addition to normal damage. So poteentially 3 damage + 1 MW
  21. It's certainly a long way from Muppets take Manhattan
  22. Third ever deepkin game tonight. 1k v fyreslayers. Played open war scenario and ended in a draw at the end with my priest surviving a magmadroth charge in turn 5. Highlights included the Tidecaster casting balewind vortex, cogs and shackles to slow the stunties then having 3 spells a turn, king 1 shotting 17 fyreslayers on high tide, and eels being great as usual. The thralls actually made combat, but I sent them in too early so they didn't see high tide. Mainly both players had a great time. Here is the last moment of the game where the draw was made.
