@Chris Tomlin, with the idea that these are more 'game pieces' to be handled more frequently....are you doing extra levels of varnish/sealant? If so, what's your formula?

I prefer the current AoS tone as is. Hopefully they can play a little both ways from time to time and not wind up grim dark again or as a Warcraft cartoon. It's pretty interesting as the setting is actually darker than old wfb, chaos is dominant here, but the focus on order counter punching gives color and hope. I like AoS quite a bit.

Recent GW female minis have them dressing appropriately by class not gender. Think about the two female Stormcasts...fully armoured. Or the Mist Weaver in Silver Tower. All dressed logically. This Darkoath Warqueen is also dressed according to her class and not by gender. Very barbarian/sword & sorcery. If not a breastplate...would folks rather she be topless like the chieftain and all the other marauders? GW is going in the right direction with their female models. They are dressed equal to their male counterparts and none are posed sexually. The "chain mail bikini" comments are people looking for offense when there is none. Edit: I like the current logo fine, not sure why we need a change there. Regarding other news... I'm still hyped with all the AoS minis I still need to paint...and now adding Shadespire...so I'm ok without more large scale purchases in the near future. New factions will come...in the meantime...save a little dosh or use the money to treat the significant other/family/friends.

I'd agree with this...in fact I do! As a narrative gamer I have my eye on Firestorm and Blightwar post holidays. GHB17...not so much atm.

The back of the Shadespire box layout looks very much like an old school, classic gw board game. nice touch. i wonder if the side graphic and box size would also match? I don't see Shadespire reaching X-wing or Magic levels. i think being unpainted hurts it a little. However, if GW did each faction in its own plastic color then it may work a little better. Sort of like that new AoS starter...these Stormcast models should have been in the gold plastic. Deathrattle could be white, flesh eater courts grey, skaven brown, orruks green, tzeentch blue, etc, etc. Still....ever since I laid eyes on this back of box image...I've been hit with nostalgia. Combine that with my AoS infatuation and it's getting likely I'm going to give this a shot.

One of the big bonuses to the new WHQ games is that we can use most of our AoS models. That "double duty" for models doesn't seem as likely with Shadespire. Seems we would need special decks and such for each character. I suppose my question is...does this complement AoS like WHQ does or is this a separate game only sharing the same setting?

It'll be interesting to see if it's the Aelves (seemingly hinted to with the KO release) or Deathrattle (timed with this fall's targeted Shadespire release). I'd like them to go ahead and updated Nurgle with a proper Battletome so they can be brought up with Tzeentch and Khorne.

I think 16 is a part of the board for the upcoming Shadespire boardgame.

Well, I suppose some support is better than none. I'm hoping more 'boxes' doesn't just mean packaging models together in a group like the Mighty Heroes pack. I'd love to get another setting or two with unique creatures and tiles.

Anyone know if there's a grain of truth to the rumor of a second AoS Warhammer Quest box set? Maybe against undead (Flesh Eater Courts?)? Did Silver Tower sell well?
