  1. Knocked out another three warbands. https://wyrdstonesandtacklezones.com/2020/01/21/warhammer-underworlds-grand-alliance-order/
  2. Made a Underworlds display out of a piece of the classic Arcane Ruins set. https://wyrdstonesandtacklezones.com/2019/11/26/underworlds-display-base/
  3. In the background... the floating triangles and chains... isn't something similar in that art of slaanesh in prison?
  4. Hmmm...new Underworlds are Stormcast, Nighthaunt, Moonclan,...Darkoath?
  5. hmmm...i'd prefer the model image in the upper left to be unpainted like Shadespire as I often do my own color scheme.
  6. I've never preordered a GW product. Are there any incentives or bonuses for doing so? Not that I need any, I'm just curious why one would preorder product.
  7. I've thought about something like this as well. Using the Hammerhal tiles as a dungeon and the Shadespire warbands as the parties, I think it's very doable to do some AoS dungeon skirmishing. I'll probably work on it some in a few months.
  8. Anyone taking that new board that causes damage to tournaments to inspire the Boyz quickly? Any success with this? I'm not seeing the Orruks placing very high in tournaments, so I'm guessing no...
  9. sheesh... Mini Campaign comes out (MP) with months of free online stories around Death. The narrative of the core game focuses on death. Two new battletomes come out. One with a fully fleshed out new army. The main setting side game features more death narrative. How much more focus can there be? Do you folks already own every bit of AoS 2 and have it all painted up ready to play? Played through all the battle plans? Read all the tales? Sitting on your hands already waiting for more? Have all the FEC And Deathrattle models painted as well? No wonder GW closed their forums long ago...
  10. And do the spell cards serve any function when the 'wizard(s)' of the warband have been taken out. Or are you now holding a handful of 'dead' cards...
  11. Both of the AoS WHQ titles look to be removed from the GW site. Well, at least the US one. Speculation on what it means?
  12. Indeed...that Briar Witch will make an excellent character to base an adventure around. If you also have the Guard from the first wave of Shadespire, you're well on your way to having a nice little scenario well stocked with undead. Maybe add the three Easy to Build Nighthaunt boxes (because they're so cheap) and you'll be good to go!
  13. What are nurgle mortals? Have we seen them yet in AoS?
  14. Vanity a la Sigvald the Magnificent is a perfect approach. It also allows a more distinct look from the other three chaos followers. Those three can have creatures , mutants, and freaks. Slaanesh would be all beautiful and perfect. It would require a redo of the Slaanesh line though and perhaps that's the delay?
  15. Regarding Destruction pushing the narrative, it seems something as simple as a huge WAAAAGH across the mortal realms would suffice. It would be neat if GW teased a new narrative story, like Soul Wars or something, then just before actual product releases they switch to a WAAAGH! disrupting the plans of whatever other GA was about to make a splash. The actual product winds up being WAAAGH related. Some warboss isn't sitting idle anymore...
  16. @ClockworkGeo91, very cool. Did you create that first map? If so, what'd you use?
  17. not excited to hear cards will mix. also, not sure the game needs a magic system...i enjoy its simplicity. why not just have casters have a spell for attack or upgrade? still...I'm in.
  18. Underworlds is the best deal in minis gaming. If you _only_ bought into Underworld minis, you get a cracking board game and instant AoS Skirmish factions. Shadespire gave us a solid Khorne/Skaven Chaos warband and a SCE/Fyreslayer Order one. With the addition of NightVault, Destruction and Death will get more options. So, adding a thin Skirmish book and you are playing a great boardgame and fun AoS Skirmish campaigns. That's good value. But it gets better... If you decide to maybe go co-op or adventuring, one WHQ box purchase and you can also use all these characterful Underworlds models for heroes or adversaries in WHQ. Triple the value. Like it says at the top....Underworlds is the best deal in minis gaming.
  19. Yeah, there's been a lot of AoS love recently. I'd like to see a bunch of NightVault information and minis this week.
  20. The key theme to FEC is deranged cannibals believing themselves to be noble warriors. The Batteltome only seems to equate that with traditional Knights and such, but expanding on the core theme, that probably shouldn't always be the case. Maybe I'm not 100% up on my Realmslore, but I would assume there are plenty of realms/regions that never had that sort of 'Knights of the Round Table' culture. Could ghouls on Ghur actually see themselves more as noble tribesmen or something? Seems possible. I went with Chamon, because we happened to have that first Realm Gate book, and I like the Bretonnian idea of revering a Lady. The tragic character of Celemnis fit the theme and SCE were the 'good guys' during her time. Looking at the background to Aqshy, this Orb Infernia region looks pretty cool. http://whfb.lexicanum.com/wiki/Orb_Infernia During the Age of Myth it was a proud sky kingdom. A rich world of miners and artisans. Orb Infernia seems to be in ruin now, but I would think that an FEC army here would think itself to be what ever martial force was in place back during the glory years. I'm doubting it was knights on horseback, but the area seems ripe for imagination. How did the citizens get around? Sky ships? Wings made of some contraption or another? Maybe go heavy on Flayers due to the FEC force being the guardians of this once regal sky kingdom? (Deadwatch is a great battalion) This region also looks ripe for conflicts with Chaos (deamon princes of all four chaos gods) and Order (slann). This is all just an initial idea. There are plenty of other areas to go into. Hallowheart. Maybe do something related to the rain of stars that fell from the sky ruining many chaos cities. Do the ghouls living in those ruins think they're Star Children? What about a group of nutters who think they're a fyreslayer lodge? Ghouls with mohawks!
