  1. Chaos lord on demonic mount can give +1 to hit to chariots and chaos knights. That is ALL as far as I know.. including all allies.
  2. If you have not opened them at all, you could take them to a GW store and do an exchange! There are also various Facebook groups for swapping.
  3. https://www.warhammer-community.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/age_of_sigmar_generals_handbook_errata_en.pdf Some of the dark elves have been officially removed from valid matched play.
  4. Yes, I went to the event STRICTLY for practice for NOVA as they played in Aqshy and the three missions day one for NOVA GT. My gaming group is 2nd overall on ITC, with several of our members in the top 20.. and I do well in our meta. Last year at NOVA GT I came in 3rd with a similar nurgle list. So we will see how it goes! Festus goes on the balewind. Its mainly for the extra cast and increased range. but the extra visibility is nice. I will stop kidding myself and probably put blades of putrefaction as his spell. I thought squall might be nice for steady consistent damage, but I dont think thats going to make a huge difference. So Im going to go for the "HOLY GAK those marauders just did 25 mortal wounds" potential. I cast realm spells with the epitome first and foremost. Inferno blades is broken, so casting that every turn. And usually stoke rage (+1 to wound rolls, +1 to charge rolls). Or as you pointed out, overwhelming acquiescence. In Shyish there are spells for -1 to hit, immune to rend, immune to spells, Im not tied to festus.. but I cant think of something better to spend 180 points on.....if anyone has a suggestion im all ears.

  6. Went 3-0 at that RTT in Fredericksburg Virginia over the weekend! Got first place and best single model as well for the epitome! After the ITC scores get updated, I should be the number one ranked Nurgle player, and 26th overall. Quite pleased with that! Top nurgle player and top 20 overall ITC is my goal for this season. The actual games went fine. I won them in spite of myself. I could have played better. I played 2 Nurgle mirror matches! First was against a blight cyst list on Knife to the heart. My opponent made a mistake of sending out his blight kings but holding back his support pieces to deal with gutrot and my ten kings that outflanked behind him. Which is exactly what I had hoped would happen. I was able to take out the the unsupported enemy blightkings and swarm his objective with marauders on turn 3 for the major. Second game was against a thricefold befoulment on total conquest. He took first turn and moved up onto objectives. I was able to get good run and charge rolls to have the marauders charge the blightkings holding an objective, which gave me a bonus VP. At that point we basically just were in a typically nurgle v nurgle stalemate, but I knew I had the advantage because of that bonus VP. So I just turtled until time ran out. He had 3 turns of some of the worst dice rolling I have ever seen. he failed 5 or 6 out of his 7 casts, failing 5" charges with a re-roll.. so I cant take credit for all of it. Last game was so much fun. Against a Legion of night army on shifting objectives. 3x 40 skeletons. Vampire Lord, 2x necro, 2x 10 hexwraiths and a knight of shrouds on steed. I tried to kill the vampire lord (general) from the get go to stop him from being able to resurrect whole units of skeletons. between rampant disease and plague squall I ALMOST had her on the top of turn 1! I was able to put him on his back foot, by out dropping him, and running onto all three objectives, and scoring 5 points. So if he doesnt get the double turn and cant take back all three from me... I have a good chance at winning right off the bat. But it was very back and forth, each of us getting a good placement of the main objective. But as time drew to a close, I won the last priority roll and the objective was rolled and it was on "my side" so he conceded. unsolicited opinion: Inferno blades is broken as feth, and has no place in competitive matched play. I got fisted by skeletons with 80+ attacks doing 2 damage a piece several times. Luckily they were only on marauders and warshrine not on vital units or units on objectives.
  7. He is all finished! Layered up the purple pants, and the skin. neatened up the details. I also realized the base I 3d printed wasnt actually 75mm, so I put him on his actual base size and it looks so much better!
  8. TK necroplis knights would be WAY to big! They were on the 100mm long square bases How about the DoK melusai lower bodies? or if you are lucky and can snag the old Slaanesh lord on demonic mount on ebay! I feel like you must have considerer the slaanesh seeker models as well, right? They are a bit more snake/bestial hybrid but still might work depending on what your using them for.
  9. Yeah its not actually in the lore of nurgle section. it like an aside to the lore of nurgle, that every "nurgle wizard" knows.
  10. Keep in mind that the bonus to cast from 1000 poxes tome DOESNT extend to Foul regenesis (spell to move the wheel) because it isn't in the Lore of Nurgle. One last opinion you didnt ask for.. 10 bestigors isnt projecting much power. assuming they charged and are attacking ten plus models, and all ten make it into combat against a unit with 4+ saves they will do 4 damage on average. And with a bravery of 6, they will crumble against almost any counter attack. And would it be worth a CP to save (lets say) 3-4 bestigors from fleeing..especially if you have 2 of those 3 units in combat.. IMO no. But it IS worth a CP to save 7-10 from fleeing if they are all in a big unit! JUST my opinion. have fun trying out all sorts of combos with pestilent THONG (hah) and report back ASAP!!!!

    Fighty Nurgle

Sorry @Maristara but that list is just instantly shut down by geminids, gloomspite, wrath axe, basically any -1 to hit which are very prevalent. Glottkin giving a max of 20 attacks that equate to an extra 3 damage if ALL 20 blight kings were in combat is not a fighty list. Blight cyst tries to be a fighty list, in an army that is debuffed so easily whether through rend mitigation or a single -1 to hit. Thats why I have steered clear of it. 340 battalion if you include the tax Lord of Blights. @Garth1, if you want fighty nurgle, @Forrix has it right by either going plague monks or doing a pestilent throng/bestigor allies is probably the fightiest nurgle gets. The problem is Nurgles damage is largely based on spell synergy (either thricefold or blades of putrefaction) which is shut down easily by other magic heavy armies, since we have zero casting buffs, save for one artefact that can only be taken by demon wizards who don't have access to blades of putrefaction to begin with!
  12. Slaanesh player in my group is currently ranked 4th on itc list. So he is a skilled player. I am somewhere in the 50's, so not terrible not bad either. I have beaten him before (although the game was a bit short) and at a competitive GT almost got the better of him. Its not a problem with nurgle. The problem lies with a summoning mechanic that is unbalanced. if we cant agree.. going back and forth is pointless. But you are in the minority opinion here.. by a WIDE margin.
  13. @PJetski I am a devoted competitive nurgle (oxy moron? :P) player. I play a heavy blightking list. 30 of them in my standard list, and the list I will be bringing to NOVA GT (with a slaanesh ally of course!! :D). obviously depravity points come like rain when I play slaanesh, but I have watched games with slaanesh against a competitive nighthaunt player in my group and its still an insane amount of models that get summoned. FEC summoning is once per game. HB can be kited/trapped. Immortal stardrak cant capture objectives and is weak to MW. LON can only res units, not summon and gravesites are easy to shut down. There is no counter to slaanesh summoning. Slaanesh has always been a VERY fast army that hits hard, and strikes first (through various mechanics like initiative value when that was a thing, or interrupting attacks, now with the new form of ASL). But they could never take a punch to the mouth. Now they can because they just summon back what they lost. They are both as killy as they have ever been, but also more resilient then death. In general im not a complainer. Some in my group has been moaning about slaanesh. You either nut up or shut up. Figure a way to beat them or take your beating like a man. I'm simply pointing out that the mechanic is not balanced. I still revel the chance the play the army at the hands of a skilled player, because victory (WHEN it happens) will be that much more sweeeeeeeeet.
  14. @Panjaca VERY nice conversions. Very unique and creepy AF!! greta job man. @Ajmaus I would combine the 3 bestigor units in one for max effectiveness as a block, and also to save 60 points. With that 60 points you could upgrade sorcerer to festus (make sure to take blades to cast on the 40 ungor raiders!! thats a NASTY combo. OR the big unit of bestigors especially if they are attacking a 10+ model unit as they get auto +1 to hit!). Could then drop the balewind and take the taurus which is VERY strong. I know the balewind is for the bray shaman, but if you combine the Bestigors, he wants to keep near them to give them +3" of movement which is an insanely good buff! AND you get the turaus! Swap 1000 poxes tome for witherstave and perhaps keep him in the middle of the bestigors for a nice defensive buff to keep them alive as long as possible! I dont think the aetherquartz brooche is necessary for your army. Consider "throwing the artefact away" by taking the tamurkahns horde sub faction. The required artefact is garbage, so its uaually not worth giving up the witherstave for.. but since you have two the -1 to enemy run and charge rolls is SO SO good!! And the Comand trait of +1 to run rolls on the bestigor hammer unit (again combine them!!) is SO good with the innate +1 from the warscroll and the run and charge ability on them as well. Add in the +3 from the bray shaman and the bestigors will: move 9+, run d6+2, charge 2d6. Can easily make it across the board for a charge. If the wheel is on stage 1 for +2 movement, thats 11"/5-6 average run/7" average charge = 20+" threat range for a unit thats nasty on the charge!!
  15. This is so accurate, it hurts. @PJetski The fact that the opponent can kill two KoS and basically get a free keeper back, in it of itself, is overpowered. It is irrelevant whether your facing a multi-wound heavy or single wound heavy army. Defending this broken mechanic is futile, other then just being a devil's advocate.
  16. Well you dont need Pestilent throng for blades of putrefaction as it only requires a friendly unit, not a NURGLE unit. Same with fleshy abundance. If you are looking to include BoC in your list, its basically bestigors. They have a good amount of attacks, rend, easy +1 to hit to give them an elite infantry style statline, and are relatively cheap with a 4+ save. Other then that, not much is competitive, or offers synergy with nurgle. Bestigors can already run and charge and dont need the tree (or keyword from pestilent throng), the +1 to wound from the cycle is nice... but worth investing in a lol inducing battalion ability simply for a keyword to get +1 to wound for 1-2 turns? Nope. I have been allying in 30 bestigors, the shaman and casting the wildfire taurus in normal nurgle armies as ally in my 2k games. Depraved drove is good because slaanesh is really good. And bestigors are simply better then daemonettes.
  17. Personally, I think the aesthetic is an affront to the eyes and I'm not excited about any of these models AT ALL.
  18. I think the kurnothi will be an entire new faction of aelf and wanderers will only be in Cities of Sigmar
  19. I have used both poxwalkers and plaguebearers with 25mm bases I havent rebased yet. At Least as a proxy for test runs. Poxwalkers work fine as long as you take off the chem tanks and grenades!
  20. Commissioned a very talented painter in my gaming group to paint the reflection for the epitome conversion I am working on. nothing short of stunning considering this is all freehand.
  21. If you arent looking to be competitive then just do what makes you happy, bro! Tamurkhan isnt bad.. he just isnt competitive. But to be honest out side of one maybe 2 builds... nurgle as a faction isnt really competitive in the sense that it is unlikely to go to a GT (5 round event) and win it. You can win RTT's and local events though, and have fun with your homeboys. Glott is a force multiplier, so having a unit of monks is great. LoB can also add another defensive buff to them.
  22. If not an endless spell, its nice to have a double caster WITH a casting bonus for Realm spells. NOVA is using Aqshy and Shyish.. both RIFE with great spells. Inferno blades (+1 damage for a units weapons) stoke rage (+1 wound and +1 charge distance) are both incredibly powerful offensive spells. In Shyish nights touch, soul shroud, and soul flay (ignore modifiers to save rolls for a unit, not affected by spells until next hero phase, and -1 to hit until next hero phase) are all incredibly powerful defensive spells.
  23. Well it says you must set the unit of nurglings up so that it is in cover. This means the unit must be wholly within a terrain feature. I dont think there is a way to fit the nurglings wholly within a gnarlmaw.
  24. I have been using a contorted epitome as an ally in my blightkings heavy list. For competitive play it’s a vital ally as I can both cast and unbind realm spells like the big boys. Two rr-able casts is amazing. As well as the unbinds. It’s nit grey deer levels of point efficiency, but it’s still VERY efficient. The strike last mechanic is just gravy to be honest, as my SPECIFIC army can tank a butt load of damage. I am currently working on a count as epitome for my nurgle army. I posted it in the painting forum as well as the nurgle forum. At the risk of spamming the picture and being annoying, I’ll post it here as well.
