    Well that was delightfully vague. This “Dark Master” sounds like he could be either Malerion or Be’lakor, and hiring Eshin assassins could fit in both of their MOs.

    Yeah given the name I think it’s fair to glean that they’re gonna reveal at LEAST a few of the new LRL units - if not all of them - and maybe some of the Vamps. Also maybe a reveal of the Ossiarch underworlds warband, but anything else is just a nice bonus.

    I doubt that GW would end up spoiling the plot of what’s planned to be a pretty big release - it’s probably just an excerpt from the beginning of the book.

    I’m not too into the rules side of things, but what I’d really like is for the Mortis Engine to finally get the Nighthaunt keyword so that the SC Malignants set becomes less of a waste of money, haha

    Overall I really like that preview! There was a pretty good balance of actually exciting stuff and the usual fare of 40k spam. Though those Sisters of Battle looked mega goofy with those big gangly arms imo. Also it’s a bit of a shame that the Nighthaunt aren’t getting any new rules in BR: Teclis like I expected, but it just means that they’re more likely to get some stuff in the next instalment ig.

    I don’t think that’s an entirely fair comparison - the Lumineth aren’t really meant to be gothic or reminiscent of the old world in the same way that the Witch Hunters and Vampires are. They still look fire though, I’ve gotta admit.

    I read Realm-lords this weekend. And honestly? It’s the most enjoyable book from AoS I’ve read in a while. Sure, the quest might be a bit lacklustre and the ending could’ve been more satisfying, but it was overall a joy to read. The fights were good, the Slaanesh villains were suitably awful, and the relationships between our main characters was really nice. Plus, the prose flowed really well and it didn’t feel cumbersome or a chore to keep on reading. A solid 8.5/10 for me.

    I’ve got to agree with the previous posts here - Bretonnia are one of those factions that work in Fantasy, but don’t really have much of a place amongst the other AoS armies. It’ll probably get brought back in some way or another for the Old World game though.

    I think we’ll see an uptick of female options for miniatures, as well as different paint schemes to represent different skin tones. There’s very little else on the front of the hobby itself that GW can really do. Certain areas of the community on the other hand... well, that’s all I’ll say. I don’t think this really merits any further discussion.
