BB is middling complexity as a board game. Paraphrasing a comment I read some time ago, it's designed in a way that you'll most likely never get any better at it unless you learn from other players. It's also not a chill game in my experience, due to how long it takes, how frustratingly random it can be, and how it encourages a personal investment in your team. The few times I played, I ended up mad while my opponent also got mad, so I sold my team. It was just not for me, it's better to play it on Steam if you want.

I just got a nice deal for the KO half of the Aether War box. If I only want to have around 2500 points of KO units, what would you recommend to get next? The battleforce looks really tempting and I can probably get it at preorder price, but I'm not sure about having three Gunhaulers and a named character... Edit: I should add that I want this army to give a fun challenge to the opponent. Not fully competitive.

Yeah, the title is unfortunate, but in the end, his arguments are what we already know: 40k is more restrictive and while the amount of effort and creativity could be the same, AoS is just way more open to big changes and crazy ideas.

Not a rumor per se, but am I the only one starting to see a lot of AoS content coming from 40k YouTubers? Just today, I saw this video comparing the creativity between AoS and 40k and found it quite interesting.

Does anyone recognize the rune at the end? Seems like a mix of "river" with something else. Maybe some old high elf rune?

I just saw this conversion of Teclis on Facebook and it was too good not to share. He said that he only moved the arms, lost the cape and used a harlequin mask.

He make it look so easy... now I must resist to use that same style.

Thank you both. I suppose all of the AoA heroes are overcosted by design compared to the available heroes. I'll change it to fullfill another role... maybe a source of mortal wounds or just another support for Mortek Guard, there's a command ability that gives +1 to hit.

Hey guys, I've been playing with the Anvil of Apotheosis rules looking for a mix of Soulreaper and Boneshaper, a model with a 2" weapon slightly punchy that can revive dudes. This example goes up to 160 points. OBR 5 Scythe 1 Superior Vitality 1 Extra Armour 2 Mighty Weapon 2 Frenzy 3 Weapon Master 2 Total: 16 How would you tweak it? Oh, I will be using a converted Necron Overlord in a 40mm base for model.

What about running Null Myriad against Tzeentch?

And I'm glad, I think people were just overreacting about Petrifex. As tournaments show, PE is very strong but still manageable... unlike Tzeentch, that was truly broken.

Petrifex Elite will be in the top 3 of all the events.
