  1. I’m wondering if a Soulblight release was planned for October to coincide with the spooky season but got pushed back because of covid.
  2. Hoping for elite Soulblight halberd infantry. The Wallachians did use halberds, it’s historically accurate. And the style of that halberd seems to me to fit into the Death aesthetic.
  3. You make good points, and you obviously know more about the lore than I do. I just figured Mannfred is a vampire so he would lead Soulblight. I stand corrected.
  4. I won $50 store credit at my local LGS. What OBR model should I put it towards? I'm torn between Katakros, Crawler or Harvester.
  5. If you use them to go after something like a Maw Crushers, being able to turn a 2+ save into a 6+ save actually helps.
  6. I believe it's the first one. You can't put the unit down.
  7. I'm planning on trying this list with the Stalliarch Lords legion instead of Petrifex. I like the idea of the Deathglaive being able to run and charge and retreat and charge, as well as giving my Mortek Guard even more mobility. Liege Kav Twisted Challange Nadir-bound Mount General Soul Mason Gothizzar Cartouche Spell: Arcane Command Bone Shaper Artisans key Spell: Drain Vitality Mortek Guard x 20 - Swords Mortek Guard x 20 - Swords Mortek Guard x 10 - Swords 1 unit Morghast Harbinger 1 Unit Stalker w/ Dread Falchions 1 Unit Stalker w/ Dread Falchions Mortek Shield Corp Katakrosian Death Glaive Nightmare Predator Bone-tithe Shrieker
  8. Exactly. It allows you to get the deployment match ups you want, while having less drops than your opponent. It was only my second game playing OBR and I completely forgot about the artifacts I gave my Boneshaper and Soulmason. Another reason to take the Soulmason is that he's a double caster, and his spell Soul-guide is pretty good. If you're concerned about healing, then two Boneshapers is probably the way to go. It made my opponent rethink advancing his ethereal Stonehorn for the first round. I cast this spell 3 times in the game, first time it did no damage but kept the Stonehorn at bay (opponent dispelled it), second time I put 6 mortal wounds on his Thundertusk (was dispelled after I killed the Thundertusk), and the third time I put 5 wounds on his Butcher and did D3 wounds to his Hunter. Great spell. This was my biggest mistake of the game. I kept 2 units of 20 Mortek Guard deep in my territory until the 5th round. For some reason I thought it was important to keep them back to guard objectives. I would have had a major victory if I had advanced my Guard in the 3rd round. IMO, the shield corp is worth it just to keep your drops down. The extra RD, bonus shield wall and artifact make it even better. Sounds good. Hope it works out!
  9. Yep I copied your list from the top of the page and made a few changes. I got the idea of running this list from the Unlocking Age of Sigmar: Ossiarch Bonereapers with The Lord of Death video by Doom & Darkness on YouTube. My overall takeaway is that it's good. Having 4 drops is important when you want to alpha strike with the Deathglaive, so two battalions is awesome. This lets you spread out your drops in order to get the deployment matchups you want. Another benefit is that you get an extra two RD points, two artifacts (allowing you to load up all your heroes) and you have a very good chance of deciding who goes first. The deathglaive did well for me. I took out a unit of 2 mournfang with it before my harbingers got deleted by a Stonehorn. It forced my opponent to deal with it immediately. I prevented him from charging his 2 Stonehorns and Frostlord into the midfield for 3 rounds. I imagine it doing much more damage against some other armies. My opponent did prepare for an alpha strike, but I didn't let him know where it was going. It forced him to deploy conservatively with an army that you typically charge up the field. I used the unit of 10 Mortek and the Liege-Kavalos as a kind of vanguard to take an objective in the middle of the board. They did well, but my Liege fell to Thundertusk shooting and a Stonehorn charge. I regret not keeping him alive longer. Also, I started the game with 11 RD points. Throughout the game, I don't think I ever started with less than 5. No worries on the questions. I'm going to keep playing this list and seeing what works/doesn't work. EDIT: Forgot to mention, the Nightmare Predator is awesome. That thing did some work for me. Also, next time I might try Stalliarch Lords instead of Petrifex. There were times where a run and charge would have helped, as well as retreat and charge.
  10. Liege Kav Godbone Armour Mighty Archaeossian General Soul Mason Gothizzar Cartouche Spell: Arcane Command Bone Shaper Artisans key Spell: Drain Vitality Mortek Guard x 20 - Swords Mortek Guard x 20 - Swords Mortek Guard x 10 - Swords 1 unit Morghast Harbinger 1 Unit Stalker w/ Dread Falchions 1 Unit Stalker w/ Dread Falchions Mortek Shield Corp Katakrosian Death Glaive Nightmare Predator Bone-tithe Shrieker Petrifex Elite I ran this list against a 2 Stonehorn, 1 Frostlord BCR list today. Took first turn and sent a unit of Stalkers and Harbringers into the center of his frontline to wreak havoc. I sent my second unit of Stalkers down a heavily terrained left flank. My opponent was forced to spend 3 turns dealing with the threat with his heavy hitters while I was able to rack up some objective points. I've had trouble against this BCR list before as it's a hard counter to Petrifex Elite. My opponent beat me with a minor victory (by 130 points), I was one wound away on his Butcher from getting the minor victory myself. This was only my second game using OBR, in hindsight I could have won a major with some better maneuvering with my backline Mortek Guard.
  11. Any tips on printing and cutting these? You used a black background, looks great.
  12. Allegiance: Ossiarch Bonereapers - Legion: Petrifex Elite Liege-Kavalos (200) - General - Command Trait : Mighty Archaeossian - Artefact : Godbone Armour Mortisan Soulmason (140) - Artefact : Gothizzar Cartouche - Lore of Mortisans : Empower Nadirite Weapons Mortisan Boneshaper (130) - Lore of Mortisans : Reinforce Battle-shields 20 x Mortek Guard (260) - Nadirite Blade and Shield - 2 x Soulcleaver Greatblades 20 x Mortek Guard (260) - Nadirite Blade and Shield - 2 x Soulcleaver Greatblades 20 x Mortek Guard (260) - Nadirite Blade and Shield - 2 x Soulcleaver Greatblades 6 x Necropolis Stalkers (400) Mortek Crawler (200) Mortek Shield-corps (120) Bone-tithe Shrieker (30) TOTAL: 2000/2000 EXTRA COMMAND POINTS: 1 WOUNDS: 113 What do you guys think of this list? I feel it's pretty well rounded. I would start with at least 5 RDP. I took a unit of 6 Stalkers and a Mortek Crawler, getting the best of both worlds (a blender unit in the Stalkers, and the psychological/strategy changing aspect of the Crawler). 3 units of 20 Mortek Guard for Crawler protection and objectives. I've got good buffs in the Mason and Shaper, and a fighty/tanky general in the Liege-Kavalos. I could drop the endless spell and upgrade to Zantos if desired. I can also swap out the Crawler for the Harvester should the need arise.
  13. Arch-Kavalos Zandtos or Liege-Kavalos? Just bought the box and am wondering how to build him. Who's better? Liege can obviously take command trait and artifact.
  14. I'd love to see Soulblight splinter away from Nagash under Mannfred and Neferata. They could do a SC box with a new mounted Vampire Lord, new Blood Knights and Soulblight foot soldiers much like the new Slaves to Darkness SC box. Perhaps some bat monsters and a Nosferatu looking caster hero.
  15. I like both. I like sitting on the couch with a physical battletomb and appreciating the art and stories. I also see the benefits of having some sort of tablet or iPad with a digital copy for when playing at events. It's very much the same way I appreciate spotify for having music in my car or at work, while I enjoy the sound and artwork of a good vinyl record in my own home.
  16. Opponents hate a -2 to hit bubble that isn't "wholly" within. They also hate 40 skeletons who regen back to full health each turn.
  17. Stalkers in Petrifex with command ability and Precision aspect can have 5 attacks at 3/3/-3/2dmg. That's like the backside of a ball pein hammer to the skull.
  18. I'm wondering if it's worth it to run a two rank deep unit of 20 MG with blades, with a 2nd unit of 10 with spears acting as the 3rd rank. When charged, both units could pile in and attack. You could maximize the rend of the blades with the reach of the spears.
  19. Good idea. Nagash would be pretty much untouchable by normal wounds. Although, in Petrifex, Nagash is already plenty tanky and I might need the Stalkers as a second offensive option besides the Morghasts.
  20. I have Nagash and the boxed set so my first list will be: (I haven't built anything from the boxed set yet) Nagash 880 Vokmortian 180 Necropolis Stalkers 200 Harbingers 210 Mortek Guard 130 Brings me to 1600. Where should I go from here? Perhaps a box of Mortek Guard to fill battleline of 3x10 and a Crawler?
  21. You place this piece before all other terrain? Does anyone have the rules for placing this piece?
