    You are right, confused me, that they made it a new ability like that, wish the Crossbowmen still had it, only painted 10, so guess the 8/10 more I've build, will meet with my knife to get guns instead.

    Free People Handgunners seems to have gained the Crossbowmen stand and shoot ability.

    Why run and charge on the crossbow men, that's just a bad joke and kick in the nuts for all who have them, and no chance to deal rend, the old piper ability was the biggest reason I made them that way.

    You can deepstrike with Runesmiter, just need him and the unit to be in the same group, so when time comes to set the up by the battleplans rules, set them aside and deploy on your next movement phase as pr usal.

    Try retributer armour and then shade it with reikland fleshshade

    Perhaps, we will learn the way of it soon enough. I hope they pulled the free people mounted general to replace him with one on a demigryph.

    Have any of you considered that they maybe have pulled some of them for repackage or perhaps some will come in a new sculpt.

    Like eletronics, they knew how to make it last 30-40 years ago, today they think its fine it works a few years

    Perhaps people just buy up kits now, before they can't get some of them anymore? Myself have just bought enough for a meeting engagement list for a club escalation league, so was nice to see the new tome revealed after I made the decision to go Free People.

    I know, plan to pick up as many terrain packs as I can afford, as my primary game is AoS and don't have terrain of my own.

    Starter set and mausoleum for me too, but only really intereste in Corvus Cabal of the warband shown for now.

    Look at it way, if you got the starter set, then you have a week to build the terrain and read rules, before you get them and can build em. Atleast that is how Iam distracting myself from them not being in my hands at the same time as the rest.

    The new matched play rules in the GHB 2019 says you can only buy 1 command point

    This is so perfect, starting in a escalation league and have chosen to make a Free People army! First models ordered today, before the announcement 🙂

    In normal 2K game I can see the need, but in meeting engagement, the best you can do is 2x base unit size.

    Tried to make a 1k meeting engagement list, haven't received the GHB19 yet, as I ordered the warlord edition from GW. Lodge: Greyfyrd Spearhead Rune father - battle-scarred veteran, Axe of Grimnir Grimwrath Berzerker Main body Runesmiter - Helm of Obsidia, Prayer of Ash Battlesmith - The Nulsidian Icon 10 Hearthguard Berzerkers - Poleaxes Rearguard Runeson on Magmadroth Tried this in a fight against Grand Host of Nagash, did well and won on points, but had to kill a unit of 20 Grave Guards twice and that was not fun 😅 We played with a single objective in the middle of the board, deployed all from long edge. Took the points and win conditions from a YouTube video to try it out. Let's hear what you would take in a 1k meeting engagement list!
