  1. Sons of Behemat wouldn't be Destruction anyway; they come from a civilization of giants. I would rather have another Order army of actually fleshed out giants, than yet another iteration of "big stupid giants" that do nothing but smash and squish things
  2. I thought there was a general agreement Tyrion is the Sun brother? or you mean, he's the physical manifestation of the sun spirit?
  3. said this a few times already: Nurgle winning is the convention going ahead anyway--to increase transmission vectors and infect more people
  4. I had a feeling they were going with inspiration from the mashup of cultures that Alexander's Successor Kingdoms were, and it's nice to see some more Eastern influence too!
  5. @NauticalSoup yeah it's not terribly hard, especially for Liberators, but they're always the ETB hammers with no special weapon (not that those matter at all tho). the one time preferring swords sucks..
  6. i think the bottom you could get away with if you want to play official games, and they fit better with a fantasy aesthetic as well
  7. they're a nice touch of realism within a high fantasy aesthetic, I like all the unit helmets so far!
  8. Beastgrave did this. I wasn't impressed with the Kurnothi poses until I saw them in person (and plastic)
  9. Found this site today https://www.player.it/astropate/419977-lumineth-realm-lords-analisi-dei-nuovi-modelli.html I can't read Italian but the author put some work into tracking these runes down. Go give their article 5 stars!
  10. @Athrawes yeah I wish the awareness was further than the self/immediate family. We're already being told to stay away from older relatives, and going through with not only air travel but a large gathering? Is like asking to get them sick. The transmission vector is exponential for large gatherings that rely on air travel for participants.
  11. horned helmets are pointy though tbf plenty of historical armies fought with plumes. the archer armor is actually weirdly realistic in the grand scheme of AOS, and much more sensical than the strange metal frames (that also could have feathers!) the old HE archers had
  12. Unsurprising, but I hope the event organizers can still stream or something--just so not all their work gets negated
  13. I can't say I'm surprised, so I guess I'll reiterate: everyone loves calling elves some form of inhuman, until that's actually reflected aesthetically and then it's "this doesn't look right!!" The other thing is we haven't seen a 360 degree image or even separate angle shots so... wait for those until making final judgement.
  14. I really love how the armored witch aelf could be proxied as a hag, so this warband could give you 2 heroes! the new SC box looks like a good deal too, though I'm miffed neither of these were out when my partner decided to pick out something for herself to try! This warband might be the first thing I preorder from GW honestly, it really hits the spot for UW and AOS.
  15. I'll take my enjoyment out of painting and building the models themselves then, maybe grab an audiobook for my commute. Not in a position to buy into another army so casual games if any/waiting game it is
  16. Tyrionic can basically be replaced with "martial" I think. Dawnriders seem like they'd be very specifically standing-soldiers because cavalry require extensive training and logistics support to keep operational, while the wardens and sentinels could be more of a militia-soldier, hence they're both but not fully either Tyrionic or Teclian.
  17. welp, any chance I could proxy them as liberators in casual games? thankfully I only have 12 Sequitors from Soul Wars, but spending 62usd on 10 liberators feels so bad..
  18. because the wording of the skill even leans towards that interpretation- the Hero Phase is 'in limbo' per se because you have not had the opportunity to move yet. If you haven't had the chance to move, then you can't choose to not move. Shooting in the HP is good on it's own, and I feel like you could bait a good amount of opponents into feeling safe now that they don't have to plan 36" in said phase.
  19. don't give up on stormcast, especially if you enjoy the look of the models. I kinda feel the same way but their aesthetic and parts of the lore is really what drove me to ultimately pick them when getting back into AOS. You don't have to be competitive; narrative or smaller matched play is fine too. you can use em in Warcry as well, especially Vanguard
  20. the new stormcast box from this holiday? NIB? i'm in the US but for ~103USD i'm intrigued
  21. @sorokyl yeah it seems like selling everything at half price would only save me 20$ on the Bastiladon, and that's IF the buyers pay shipping included. I may just check if my shop has a box then, or even see if they get parted out from the boxes since you don't want many behemoths, thanks edit: there's ebay resellers advertising 85USD for the new SC boxes so.. yea I'll probably pick up a parted out one myself instead to save time.
  22. Is a Bastiladon helpful in our shooting lists? I'm guessing our CA won't affect them, and the Slann/starpriest can't take their own CA
  23. So with the bastiladon in the skink SC box, is it better to buy that and sell the rest instead of only buying the bastiladon kit? I'm not sure if I want to fully collect Lizardmen again, but I really like the bastiladon model and would love to have one, even if only for narrative/open ally. I'm just not sure how wanted the terradons and skinks will be.
