  1. Maw krusha and the Fyreslayer things are both nice. But considering that there is a LOT of talk about dragons in the background apparently, we still got very little dragon stuff. Especially not more classic dragon stuff. And even more especially no CHAOS DRAGON STUFF. Which is undeniably the coolest form of dragon. A Galrauch/Egrimm Van Horstmann kit/vanilla Chaos Dragon kit for Tzeentch and they'd get me to buy a 130 € kit 3 times.
  2. Yay, finally we'll get the elusive "gecko on cape" Aelves faction!
  3. Oh and another thing: DRAGONS. ****** being trademarkable, that only Stormcast got a dragon (with a slightly dumb looking pose and cumbersome armor) is a gigantic miss on GW's behalf. I can't sugarcoat that cause we all know how awesome dragons are. Hell, might be an idea to get Archaon and a Stardrake kit and mash em together to get a proper chaos dragon...
  4. Heavily armored mortal Tzeentch units. Mutated (mortal) Tzeentch units (yes, we got a lot of reused chicken legs and a tzaangor mutant but that isn't exactly what they write about in the background). Special beastmen for Nurgle and Khorne. Basic mortal infantry for Nurgle. They should stop giving Nurgle so much stuff in 40k and instead add a kit or two to his AoS range, then he'd at least be complete. God, I hate Nurgle. Sorry, couldn't help myself. Funnily enough Slaanesh will soon be the most complete Chaos AoS Mono-Force now but well deserved after that wait.
  5. Regardless of whether you like the redesign of slayers, the army needs more units and visual diversification. They're in the same boat as Ironjawz (and FEC, etc.). Those two don't feel like real armies to me personally, which is a damn shame as they're big parts of Warhammer's identity. I hope they'll get major updates with their new battletomes, they could really need it. It's the obvious drawback of GW turning everything into its own mini-faction. That's why I'm kinda annoyed that Lumineth get a second wave this early and these factions got nothing since their release despite having fewer kits than the first wave of Lumineth did.
  6. Well, if GW wants people's love, they better start releasing fewer Aelves and more stuff for other races. Orruks and Dwarves got almost nothing useful for AoS in a LOOOOONG time now. Skaven and Seraphon desperately need updates. Meanwhile we got Fish Aelves, arguably Tree-Aelves, Daughters of Khaine, Buck-aelves, Light Aelves, Shadow Aelves in Warcry...(with the real Shadow Daemon-Aelves coming one day) now we get more Light Aelves. Aelves are AoS space marines now. I dunno how it is with you guys but in my region Aelves are no more popular than Dwarfs. And both of those groups are small compared to Ork, Chaos and human players.
  7. This is easy IMO. Chosen Sorcerer-Warriors, heavily armored but not mutated - complete with their own spell. If Lumineth can do it, so should we - except we're not puny Aelfs. Think of the Exalted Sorcerers from the Thousand Sons mixed with Varanguard. And bird shoulderpads like in Adrian Smith's art or on the Gaunt Summoner. Forsaken : Remade - (heavily?) mutated warriors. There's so much talk about in the background and yet we never really got much in terms of mutated warriors. Both of those represent one of the aspects of Tzeentch that is currently missing, both from an aesthetic POV as well as gameplay-wise. Aekold was one of the first minis I bought (more than 20 years ago), I'd gladly welcome him back (did you know the sculpt was supposed to be a dark elf?) but personally if we resurrect any, then give me Egrimm Van Horstmann. Mainly because he rode Baudros and a Chaos dragon would be amazing. And I kinda miss dragons in AoS. A plastic Curseling and Fatemaster would also be good. Might just be me but the Curseling should just be an update - I love the look of it and wouldn't need a redesign. What I don't want: More chicken-legged nerds. Too much Egyptian influence in the design (a bit is totally fine). That's a Thousand Sons thing and works really well there, but it's not a general Tzeentch thing. Tzeentch is tall bunny ears (like the Gaunt Summoner or the artwork... once again, let's look at Adrian Smith's stellar work) or horns. "More Mysterio, less Bird-Person for mortals." That's my motto for it.
  8. I'm happy that my pick (the Void Dragon) made it and Ghaz is a decent enough pick for the first place but Eltharion did deserve to be mentioned at least. I'm far from a fan of Aelves but that mini is without a doubt not only beautiful and cool but also very clever from a technical POV. Considering the amazing feedback it got, it's strange it's not in the top 3. Was it even nominated?
  9. I also see this is as the biggest problem. I 'd love to play mixed lists but with the current rules it's a serious drawback to mix different branches, even of the same army (allies are obviously even worse). Which truly is a damn shame... I hope they abandon the "buff your units to oblivion" system and instead work on good warscrolls that are less dependent on being buffed by various heroes. The dependency on synergy is limiting at this point, which I don't think was the goal. That said, I do appreciate easier rules. I haven't played the new 40k edition yet but I know that AoS was more fun than 40k in the past.
  10. I might be seeing things but the trim looks very chaotic. I originally thought it was for deepkin and they'd get some cool crab-people ally or something.
  11. I only play all things Tzeentch (I also collect Thousand Sons but don't play 40k often), so I'll continue with just building and painting Tzeentch stuff (I'm very slow... and purposeful). 😎 If they'd release an update to the Seraphon or Skaven mini range, I could go for a little side-project though like maybe a warband or something.
  12. Whom do you play against? Personally the Ogroid isn't my favorite pick as he's not as resilient as (at least I) always think. Depending on which subfaction you play, you might want to aim for something else than Screamers (they are decent summons though). The heavy hitters in my recent games have been Enlightened and Flamers. Screamers are good for summoning unless you just wanna go for a Guild of Summoners build with a LoC instead. Personally I think the Blue Scribes are usually one of the best heroes you can take and would take them rather than the Ogroid. I'd probably only go for 10 Horrors (you get 5 free ones with the Gaunt), drop the screamers but use them for summoning and then try to squeeze in Enlightened and Flamers (especially if you run the right subfaction). Also and endless spell or two can make a big difference. Just some ideas for the future maybe.
  13. I hope so too! Skaven are such a wonderfully unique faction to Warhammer that it baffles me that their updates weren‘t released waaaay earlier. I mean, they try to distance AoS from cookie-cutter fantasy settings, yet don‘t push what‘s truly unique to Warhammer. All we get are Aelves after aelves after aelves... it‘s fine to have 10 aelven factions but maybe get some other stuff out first... my biggest wishes would be Skaven and Lizardmen for 2021. followed by extensions to ranges such as Ironjawz and Both dwarf factions. Not because I collect them but armies consisting of the same 3-4 kits are boring. Some update/successor to Cities would also be good, I‘d be open to a mix and not just humans. Anyways, somewhere a small Tzeentch mortal update would be nice. I‘m not saying it has to be soon but with StD models looking so scrappy (beautiful models but they got so many dents, scratches and holes, they fit Nurgle), we could use our own spin one day. I guess it‘s down to what the 3d character designers like, cause why else would Ironjawz get so little, yet we got a gigantic Gobbo wave? 🤔
  14. Yes but: Khorne Bloodwarriors, Nurgle Blightknights, Slaanesh Double-kit. We got no mortal equivalent of an elite unit. What we do have is more beastmen but I'll gladly see beastmen for the other Chaos factions (Slaanesh got those now as well) and then more mortals for Tzeentch. Compare the Slaanesh and Khorne release to the Tzeentch one. It's not fair as it is now.
  15. Well, Tzeentch is the only God without his own armored mortal troops now. I love Tzaangors but IMO we only got basic Mortal troops so far. Every other Chaos God got their own elite Mortal Warriors now and and nothing would fit more than Sorcerer-Warriors (think exalted sorcerers in fantasy) and heavily mutated ones. It's not a priority but with Finecast being so, so bad, we need new versions of the Curseling (which I love... wish I had him in metal tho) and the Fatemaster. A few nice followers would make for a cool wave. Plus: Have you seen how terribly cool Tzeentchian warriors look in the art? They're definitely the coolest looking ones outta the bunch. Anyways, I will not stop whining about these things cause they might stumble across the demand. Tzeentch is the best thing about Warhammer to me! B)
  16. I do expect now a Mortal Tzeentch release like the Slaanesh one though. It's your own fault, GW. Fatemaster, Curseling, Forsaken, Sorcerer-warriors. Do it!
  17. That said, this sounds pretty inspired by Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata's 3rd movement (yes kids, there's not just the Moonlight sonata you know from Resident Evil).
  18. Oh, someone posted the latest RE already... anyways, I gotta say, I'm not a big fan of REs... I'd rather have them show a good pic of upcoming stuff once in a while instead of those.
  19. Some models feel like they weren't included there.... anyways, I don't even play Necrons or WHQ: Blackstone Fortress but my favorites were the Swindle Drone and Void Dragon... voted for the Void Dragon in the end. Both very cool minis IMO. AoS-wise it's been a rather unremarkable year for me personally as none of my favorite factions got much (if anything) but my favorites have got to be the Light of Eltharion, the Wurmspat (I love the guy with the spear, even if I shouldn't) and the Mindstealer Sphiranx. The new Warcry bands are also lovely models.
  20. New engine... this could be either for 40k or AoS. The handle is a bit techy tho. The mace looks definitely new but I guess it's imperial in nature.
  21. They just killed two birds with one stone! I'm sure they just wanted to copy Slaaneshmas from the "If the Emperor had a text to speech device" web series and now, due to having to push releases back, they finally could align the timing. 🤪
  22. I'd love to see those two get a MAJOR update. Cool, totally unique concepts that desperately need new sculpts. It would be a match made in heaven.
  23. I could imagine them turning vampires and zombies into a combined force... I mean vamps are sometimes said to be able to control lesser beings, look at Mordheim warbands eg where vamps acted as the bosses. I think (alive human) Necromancers are on their way out in GA: Death... and they could hit two birds with one stone as vampires and zombies are the two classical things needing an upgrade for AoS.
