Well, both are actually really sucessful tournament lists doing the rounds right now minus Alarielle.
So, yes, they will be competitive, just not as much as they could be. Depending on your local meta, they should still be plenty powerful.
That's why I like two big blobs of black knights. If one gets bogged down, the second one can then come in to the rescue.
And even when not charging, they take some effort to get removed due to being the usual 'Death 30' wounds ...
I'd either magnetize the big guys or go with just one variant. Because of the different courtiers, it really makes sense to specialize in one type in most lists.
The Tome for Favoured Poxes seems like a bit of a waste. Have you thought about the Sword of Judgement for him?
And in general, I'd add something to the list to take the heat off the PM. Atm, the monks are the only thing the opponent can really focus on (apart from the two big guys). I'd try and give them something else to worry about, so the monks can do their work.
I'm not sure if you know what '3rd party' means. It's an expression that means another company (third, as in not you, as the customer, and not second as in the company that produces a model) makes accessories that you can use on official models (like gutplates for GW ogres).
Unless that 3rd party is really careful (or stays very broad in the description of usage for it's bits), it's treacgerous legal grounds and often an invite for a C&D from companies like GW. That's why 'no-go' was mentioned ...
