I won! Ironbreaker line held firm and I just hosed everything with the flamethrowers and cannons Also, I highly recommend putting the Sword of Judgement on the Unforged when going against Chaos, the double D6 mortal wounds is wild. He took out 4 hellstriders in one hit

fellow duardins I need your advice Tonight I face off against the kazaki'dum of slaanesh. Here's my list Warden King Unforged (GENERAL) - Legendary Fighter - Sword of Judgement Runelord Hammerers 20x Ironbreakers 20x Warriors 20x Irondrakes 20x Thunderers 20x MERCENARY COMPANY - Blacksmoke Gyrocopter Cannon Cannon which puts me at 1880 what do I fill with the remaining points? 10 more thunderers? longbeards? a runelord? I hate having wasted points and I know the gyrocopter is dumb but I just painted one and I want to play with it lol

Here's a list I'm planning on trying out at 2k Allegiance: GA:O (Firestorm: Tempest's Eye) Warden King (100) Runelord (80) Unforged (80) Warriors 10x (90) Warriors 10x (90) Longbeards 10x (100) Cannon (140) Irondrakes 20x (360) Ironbreakers 20x (280) Hammerers 10x (140) Thunderers 10x (120) Gyrocopter (80) Grudgebound Warthrong (170) -------------------------------------------------------------- ....which actually comes out to 1830 somehow I really think the universal rerolling ones to hit is so key for us, we need to be able to maximize what damage we can potentially do, plus with the new reroll ones to wound CP ability... what do you think I should add with the extra 170 pts? more cannon? another runelord and 10 warriors? two more gyrocopters? Archmage for 6++?

thanks man, it's not meant to be a super competitive list but I just love the idea of having all three big monsters going to town on my enemies. I was debating the utility of skeles vs rasps, it just seems a little unfluffy to take the ghosties. But skeles aren't much fluffier either, wish we had some vamp mortal thralls or something

I played in a 2v2 last night with a mixed order army of a Order Draconis dragonlord host and then a bunch of Dawi (20 warriors, 10 longbeards, and 20 thunderers) against 2 Gloomspite Gitz armies and by grungi's balls the difference in potential damage output between the old units and the new ones is insane

Yes, you can take double handed weapons and shields. The thunderers / vs quarellers debate rages, I personally like the look of thunderers better and haven’t used quarrelers but honestly irondrakes usually fill up the ranged portion of my lists, they’re outstanding. Dunno about the fyreslayers. i haven’t played with the luminark but I have a hurricanum and using it to buff your aritllery and sending comets at the enemy through an Umbral Spellportal is super fun and effective also the luminark only has one shot and if it misses that’s a huge waste of points

I don't think you need a base for the cannon, since it is functionally useless without the crew i love your song though

wow that is actually a pretty big deal that I want to explore, the ability to give a unit of 30 rasps or 20 gheists full rerolls without having to be within 15 of the torment is amazing, plus i wanna try out the shooting from the ghasts

Taking the Grudgebound Warthrong and GA:O means you also have access to Tempest's Eye firestorm city rules, giving you an extra +2 move and +1 save on Turn one, meaning you can run your dawi 10" on turn one and try to get into position better. I ran a similar list to yours a few weeks ago except with 20x Irondrakes and 2 units of elf Reavers for objective jumping and it actually worked out really well. gonna try one with the artillery instead of cavalry next time i play it's even better against Chaos lol, my unforged did 8 wounds to a big rat abomination and killed him
