  1. I would love a Fyreslayer equivalent of gore-gruntas; make them an elite option, slightly more speed than the foot version but less than the magmadroths. That way we can spread the power of the units out a little, instead of relying entirely on one unit to carry the army, and they would absolutely suit the theme and style of the fyreslayers
  2. So what are peoples MVP units in recent games? In my last game I has was against DoK and my 30 man ironsworn unit took out the monster version of morathi by themselves, either by reflecting back 3 mortals each turn or through normal combat. In the end there were about... 4 or 5 left alive, but trading 80% of a 240 point unit to down a 480 point monster was amazing. To be fair, my dice were super hot that game and my opponents were not, but it was awesome to see.
  3. Just about to post the email reply I got, it is word for word the same as yours. Good news to me, hopefully we will see some attention in the future.
  4. Pretty much my feelings. It would greatly soften the blow if they at least updated us on our way out. Especially drazhoath and the dreadquake, they are both so iconic to the chaos dwarfs and they deserve better than their current rules/points.
  5. I have a large LoA army, so I will be kinda peeved if they do suddenly make it a legends army. If they do, I hope they at least give the entire army a once-over update and fix some of our underperforming units, instead of ****** us over
  6. I never expect to see the skullcracker receive a new model, but this warhammer legends part is news to me. If it is the case, it seem disingenuous for them to continue selling the models if there is no plan to support them at all in the future. I'm in the "hammer them with emails till we get a candid answer" camp. Because, again, if they are putting us into legends, then they need to formalise it so that people can make informed purchases.
  7. Yeah, the blackshard armour rules are still... annoyingly poorly worded. My local area ruled that it works on both and so that is how we have been playing it, not looking to start this argument again. So the taur'ruk is good at 160 (which, looking at the scroll, he honestly seems amazing), but Shar'tor needs a drop. How much though? Looking at his scroll I would say around 20ish, because he does generate mortal wounds fairly well. What about bull centaur units? I have seen a 20 drop suggested, so 140/560ish?
  8. We should try to get some community consensus on the changes we would like too see, focusing for now on point changes. I have no experience with bull centaurs models so I won't comment on them, but my suggestions so far would be; Drazhoath: drop 40 at least, could drop more than that. he simply doesn't have anything to justify his current point cost; he doesn't have a lot of damage output, he isn't particularly survivable, cast/dispell 2 isn't uncommon anymore, his spell is below average. Command ability is good, but that doesn't carry the point cost alone. Infernal castellan: drop 10-20 points. 100 point heroes are actually fairly powerful in the newer battletomes, the only thing the castellan has going for him is his command ability which is hard to use as it is "start of the hero phase". Daemonsmith: fine, good grab at 100 IMO, justifies his cost. Battle standard bearer: fine at 100, decent buff at a good range. Infernal guard ironsworn: good at current points? They compare ok with other armies baseline units, the reflect mortal wounds wounds is powerful. They could use a better hoard discount, maybe 90/220 as they are rarely seen competitively. Infernal guard fireglaives: great at their cost. They sit exactly where they should. Powerful without being overpowered. K'daai fireborn: early 2.0 they were the bane of my oppenents existence and would have seen a nerf; now, not so much. They do exactly what they should for their cost, slaughter units and die fast. Unrendable is great, 5+ unbuffable ain't so great. Happy with them where they are. Deathshrieker: no experience bit they seem decent for their cost. Magma cannon: similar to K'daai, they were a cause of frustration and nerf requests at the start of 2.0, now they are still strong but they are in line with other faction. Hell, skaven can blow them out of the water with warp lightning cannons. Dreadquake mortar: drop 40-60 points, preferably 60. Unreliable, small number of attacks, terrible hit/wound chart, requires support to become a bad unit, without support is flat aweful. Honestly this unit is the one that I do believe needs a new battlescroll to be properly usable, its risk/reward is all risky with almost no reward. If it was all least dropped to 120 it would be a fun pick, because the model is awesome, but it would still not compete with the deathshrieker. Bring back the half move/run/charge that it had originally and make it a support unit if needed, currently it's just ******. Iron daemon war engine: good for price, maybe a 20 point drop? Always does good work for me at least, fast with a decent number of attacks if you 4D6 it, ignores one wound if you hurt yourself. Fun, usable and doesn't cost a ridiculous amount to field. Skullcracker: great, don't touch it. Please bring the model back, I know someone broke the mold, but please remake this. Battalions: Blackshard warhost: drop 40, it has unnecessary requirements to use the rerolls ones. When compared with recent battalions it is weak, the no moving for rerolls is frustrating and it has a high cost. At least most of the units are battleline so there is little chaff needed to field it. Hashuts artillery train: drop 20. It doesn't really give you a buff? A daemonsmith will likely stay in the backline and babysit anyway, you don't want them on the frontline and their spell has great reach, so it is basically an artifact+command point grab. I can see the point of not needing to group your artillery in one spot, but I dont think it is worth the points. Let alone the fact that killing the daemonsmith makes it all completely useless. Execution horde: maybe a 20 drop? Honestly seems like the best battalion, even though I don't have any bull centaurs. Makes killing that one trouble unit much easier and then can be reapplied to another unit. To summarise, with prefered point changes: Drazhoath: down 60 to 260 Castellan: down 20 to 100 Battle standard bearer: no change Daemonsmith: no change Ironsworn: become 90/220 Fireglaives: no change K'daai: no change Deathshrieker: no change Magma cannon: no change Dreadquake: down 60 to 120 (needs a new warscroll more than a point tweak) Iron daemon war engine: down 20 to 160 Skullcracker: no change Blackshard warhost: down 40 to 120 Hashuts artillery train: down 20 to 100 Execution herd: down 20 to 140 Any missed units are ones I have little to no experience with and will require other community input to tweak. Oh and we should just get access to the full realm of fire as our spell lore, it's already in the game so it won't break balance and it gives us some more fun without them needing to write an entire new lore for us.
  9. They tend not to respond to the emails sent into the FAQ team, they just read them and then add them to whatever list contains future FAQ issues. Hopefully if enough of us ask for updates and point out our underperforming units then we will see some changes in the future. Especially our battalions, they are seriously expensive for what they offer.
  10. Gonna spam this message, tell GW that you want these changes. Despite having a reasonably active and vocal community for a playerbase our size, it is clear the GW is not listening to the issue we are expressing. We have to email them constantly at Aosfaq@gwplc.com so that it is harder to ignore us. Even if you don't have a strong opinion on point changes or can't fully label every change you want, let them know. Hell, even just asking them to look LoA over next update will do, as long as they get the message that we want some quality of play adjustments. Especially as they claim they are trying to "bring all of the armies in Warhammer Age of Sigmar, across the system, in line with each other". The LoA, regardless of being a forgeworld army, is an AoS army foremost; so we should be brought into line with all the others.
  11. All great ideas so far, but I cannot stress enough to send your ideas, concerns or even just a flat request to be included in future balance updates to aosfaq@gwplc.com We are a small community and may have to make some noise to get the attention we seek for the LoA, being quite and hoping they notice themselves hasn't worked for the last 18 months
  12. I would suggest emailing GWs FAQ/update team at aosfaq@gwplc.com and offering suggestions and feedback regarding the legion of azgorh. They may monitor communities, but LoA is probably a low priority and small community, so we are easy to overlook. If all the people that want a LoA points updates start messaging the FAQ team with concerns and asking for updates points, then maybe we will get enough attention to see the changes happen. It is also possible that they receive so little LoA feedback that they don't know how and what to look at, especially when they recieve thousands of emails about other overperforming factions. I just emailed in my feedback, asking to be brought in line with other, more recent battletomes. I tried to justify my suggestion in the email, but for short I suggested: Drazhoath: drop 20-40 points Castellan: drop 10-20 points Dreadquake: drop 40-60 points Battalions: blackshard 120, artillery 100, execution horde 140 I know there are some I missed, but these are just my suggestions from my own experience, of what I find are the most in need of assistance. I own no bull centaurs at all so I didn't recommend any changes as I don't know what they need, if you do then please let GW know directly. If you agree/disagree with any or all of my suggestions, please let GW know so that they know how our community is finding the current state of the LoA and where they need to focus their attention. aosfaq@gwplc.com is the AoS update/FAQ email address, the squeaky wheel gets the oil, let them know what changes need to be made.
  13. Seems we came out pretty well from the December points update: Hearthguard Berzerkers still 120 for 5 but now max out at 20 for 400 points Vulkites now down 20 points to 140 Was honestly expecting way worse, especially given the community suggestions for fixing HBs, but this seem fair and still easily playable.
  14. The december GH2019 handbook errata has started to be released and it lools like LoA has been ignored again. I did hope after the compendium was pulled briefly a few months ago that they may have been making a few tweaks, but given that our points were in the GH2019 but we aren't on that list of changes doesn't bode well. Maybe they will update the compendium rules to match the point costs instead?
  15. Both the legion of azgorh and turmakhan compendium are out of stock and, for me at least, no longer available to download on the AoS app. If you have it downloaded already it seems to stay, but I can't find it to redownload. Updates maybe? Surely if they were killing them off they would just leave the compendiums up but never touch them again.
  16. If taken with Vostarg as the lodge I wouldn't see why not, if not... seems like rules as intended no, but as written there is no restriction. To clarify, I guess what I'm struggling with is that, if you take Bael-Grimnir and make him the general, you don't get the run and charge command trait, as he is a named character. Are his bonuses worth an extra 20 points on top of a regular RLoMD, as well as losing the benefit of the Vostarg command trait? Edit: just re-read the white dwarf battalions, the vostarg warrior kinband specifies a "Vostarg Auric Runson", so I would say you cannot use it outside of a Vostarg lodge list. The Vostarg forge brethren however does not specify that restriction.
  17. Regarding the white dwarf fyreslayer content, what are peoples thoughts on Bael-Grimnir? For only 20 points more thank a regular runefather on magmadroth he gets some decent upgrades, but I struggle with not having him be the general as you lose HGB as battleline
  18. If at all possible, magnetize it so you can switch between the options. If not, I would recommend the runefather on magmadroth; it is by far my most used option, almost an autoinclude in my lists honestly, and seems to be the more popular option by the community.
  19. They both happen in the hero phase, so you cast the endless spell first then immediately dispell it, it all happens in one turn. It is very effective and makes a risky take unit like myrmourns extremely powerful.
  20. LoG opened up the floor to the rest of the nighthaunt roster to LoN, with the ability to resurrect entire units it become way less of a risk to run expensive but flimsy units. Another key point as that all these lists include a lot of endless spells, part of the plan is to use the myrmourns to dispell your own endless spells then bring back the casualties of those dispells with the gravemarkers. So while a lot of lists will include at least one spellcaster for the myrmouns, it is more self dependent.
  21. What kind of lists are people running in meeting engagements? I find them hard to plan for in general, but with fyreslayers it seems really difficult to make a good list.
  22. More fyreslayer releases would also fix the current problem they have with internal balance. When you only have 3 non-hero units to choose from, it makes it very hard to not make them overperforming and still have the army be relevant on a competative level. If they had even 1-2 more option then each unit would not have to pull so much weight individually. And come on GW, gore-grunta style fyrelayers on minidroths, please.

  24. According to the errata, yes. "Q: If a Priest knows more than one prayer, can it attempt to chant each of them? A: Yes, as long as no other restrictions apply."
  25. They may be updated in the christmas errata, they are adding point and larger rules changes to their bi-annual updates
