  1. I'm still over the moon that my Wanderers and Freeguild get to team up, but it feels awkward putting my Wanderers on cobblestone bases with the rest of my force. Somehow I think I'll be able to endure.
  2. It's a pity; I have a Marius Lietdorf I was hoping to put on the back of a Demigryph. I suppose I can try mounting him on a Griffon instead...
  3. That sucks; they're a natural choice based on my City's fluff. I'm still going to field them but maybe not in the numbers I'd previously planned.
  4. I'm intensely curious to find out the specifics, even though I don't plan to use Stormcast at all in my main City!
  5. True, and it would be weird if he wasn't an option for general. Just makes me wonder what other Stormcast generals will be an option in the book.
  6. Yeah, Flagellants would be perfect for this! I'd been looking for a reason to take both Flagellants and Phoenix Guard alike alongside my zealotous Sancrosact and the real win here for me is I can do it all now!
  7. I actually love it from a thematic standpoint. It doesn't fit with how I see my city, but it's perfect for how I imagine my Stormhost! Book isn't even released and I'm already planning a second army with it!
  8. I've seen some people mention the Lord-Arcanum on foot since Stormcast will get the keyword of their city and that Lord-Arcanum gets a buff to Endless Spells already.
  9. I have the problem that my scheme looks like one of the official ones and so I might have some problems with opponents being confused. I don't know how I feel about the idea of unrestricted Stormcast choices. I can't quite put my finger on what bugs me, though.
  10. Averland may be my favorite of the Empire's provinces. They're just so stylish! Not to mention Marius Lietdorf being the greatest of elector counts, of course.
  11. Interestingly (I think it's interesting, you all may not, haha) I want to do something similar to the Tempest's Eye colors for my shadow warriors; going to greyer shades to highlight their... sneakinessn I guess. My city will have been inspired by the Bretonnian dukedom of L'Anguille, so I'm going to stick with my color scheme and damn my faction hipsterism!
  12. Finally settled on my color scheme as blue and white, only to be reminded that's Hammerhal's color scheme. Dang it!
  13. I'm sorry you feel that way. I wish I could give you some of the enthusiasm I still feel for the tome. I personally don't agree that GW has been dishonest with this release. We know (or at the very least have evidence) it's coming before Ossiarch Bonereapers in October. I know we've gotten more than our share of surprise with this whole affair, but I personally don't want the disappointment that I've felt to ruin the release before the release is even released. But maybe that's just the rationalization of a chronic procrastinator still trying to paint his army, eh?
  14. We don't know yet. Maybe they have warscrolls in the book itself, maybe they have a sidenote indicating which units can be used in a Cities list (like we see with Legions and Nighthaunt). Specific to certain cities? Unknown. Could be something no one predicts.
  15. A bonus to hit while shooting is surprising for an army with only one known ranged unit. I think it would be great if something got a ranged attack (Stalkers with bows, like Ushabti?) but nothing that's been revealed shows anything more than we've seen.
  16. This is one of the best conversions I've ever seen. I half expected to see Handsome Squidward in the reflection but still, excellent work!
