I'm hoping to convert up a few of the endless spells for my army when I figure out what one's I'm going to use. Cogs seem like the club house leader. Just have to figure out how to best Tomb King them! Pendulum could use the Sphinx Swords (or even Wings?), I think they're roughly the same size. Soulsnare could be a bunch of grabby skele hands! Prismatic Palisade could be a row of golden TK shields. Purple Sun or Burning Head could be a really angry TK Statue Head! (MY WILL BE DONE!)
Davariel
This is one of my favourite plogs on TGA, full of such wonderful conversions and creativity! Not to mention top notch painting Makes me regret not starting a Tomb King army back in the day...
Twisted Firaun
I've only recently come into the hobby(3 years), when I heard about the tomb kings, I was all like "why did they get rid of these badasses?!". Now I know it was to stop people like you from creating such amazing conversions! You have inspired me to do my own blog about my own Tomb King army.

TristanGray
Lot of work done on my Exalted Tomb King! Well, not on the king itself, but all the accoutrements of the office. Chariot and carrion are almost done. I’ve even gotten to do a mock-up of how it’ll sit on the base! Really happy with how it’s coming along. Still more to do. I added a couple of pictures from various stages of the painting. Along with those a few “action shots” from the first game with it in my list! ETK is nothing to mess with! Especially when it has the ethereal amulet. 3+ ignor rend all day long. In the middle of a hobby lull, but hope to get some painting done next week. End of summer is a hard time to paint.

Plus most of my army is with my mom in demver(next chance I’ll get to post images will be around Labour day). Though I do have some ideas on how to create some of the old units from the newer kits. Twisted Firaun
If your looking for a necrosphinx, I have a pretty decent idea for a conversion. Dread abyssal body(morghast mount) and the torso of a morghast archai, for the synching blades you take the spears, separate them from the hands, glue them back together, and attach to morghast arms. I see your point, I am personally fortunate to have found two sphinxes(war and necro), an ushabti, stalkers, and tomb guard, via ebay. But do not be disheartened that GW has stopped making models, it just means we get to exercise our conversion skills.
TristanGray
Speaking of conversions ? Got my boat and bird together. Couldn’t help myself after a long week of house painting. Wanted to feel like I’m making progress on this project. Got a due date coming fast ? and after that I won’t be able to get too much painting done! I’m very happy with the pose. Got it a lot more inline than I expected. I was worried it was going to be all janked up. I was just fooling around trying to find a landing spot for the bird and found a nice spot that had lots of contact points for glue. It just so happened to create a nice fluid line, giving it a more natural sense of movement. Here’s hoping the gorilla holds on well! Only Ahomtep himself to finish up! 12
CrustyBrushTip
It feels so good to be able to meander through a TK plog in the age of sigmar. Especially one with such inspired conversions. What is dead may never die.

TristanGray
Thanks for the kind words! Got a bit of work done on Ahomtep. He looks like hell right now, but soon he’ll be a dandy. Doing a lot on him because I think he deserves it. Going to be going back and forth with red and blue on his armour. Fancy boy needs all his little accoutrements picked out. Edited September 19, 2018 by TristanGray

TristanGray
Little hour of base coats on Ahomtep last night. One of my goals with this project is to improve my painting. Trying to get better at clean application of base coats to save time and headaches. Also trying to get better at how crisp the lines and highlights are, but that’s for later. for now, I have to decide if I want to scrap the pinks on his hat/whole model. I want to keep a connection to the rest of the army, but I want him to stand out. Thoughts gang?
TristanGray
Fast times at Sigmar High here. He’s HEEEEEERRRREEEEE —— —— AHOMTEP THE GOLDEN VULTURE OF VENGEANCE, HIGH KING OF THE CARRION ISLES, AND EMPEROR OF THE HIGH WINDS. It’s done - it’s done - it’s done! Time to go celebrate!

TristanGray
More pictures! Ecstatic to have this big beast of a project in the books. All and all I used 7 different kits, and had a blast with it. Now on to some more snakes ?! 10
TristanGray
Erupting from the sands, glowing eyes sucking in the souls of all who meet their gaze. The Sepulchral Stalkers of Ahomtep work as his eyes and ears across the Endless Deserts. A vanguard force who’s abilities to sink beneath the sands help hide their movements and give them the ability to spring an ambush against any unsuspecting or ill prepared interlopers.
