Gitzdee
What is the model in your collection u are most proud of in 2022? Could be a model u won a tournament with or another great story. Or just a paint job or kitbash u are proud of. Please Share! For me it is Rippa. I kind of tried to get close to the box art while using my own style of painting and i think it turned out great. Cant wait for the Snarlfang Riders unit. Edit: Also really proud of this kitbash. Edited January 4, 2023 by Gitzdee

Dirstly great model, secondly I guess I would say…. I actually din’t know. i’m extremely proud of my converted rattling gun weapon teams (all 13 of them) but then again it was a lot of fun desecrating the mew green-things into rats. and while some of these models can’t really be played unless I take a legend warscroll or play them with the anvil of apotheosis rules I am extremely proud of those conversions. Especially after having beend complimented and framed of betrayal by one of these new green-things player all at the same time. 2
Flippy
Very nice thread. I always like to see the painted stuff and this will hopefully bring more people to the painting & modelling part of the forum. As for the 2022 models, I will pick three. The third place goes to the Liege-Kavalos from October. The second place is for the Megaboss on Megasquig, finished in March. And the first place, for the sheer amount of work - and the spectacular presence… 5
MarkK
Great thread, my favourite AoS models for 2022 was this converted Lord of Plagues and a Chaos Sorceress. Special mention for most fun project goes to the Stargrave crew, really enjoyed painting them up not having to be tied into an army scheme.
Gitzdee
Also want to share this one i recently finished. Tried painting in a bit different style here where i wanted to keep in mind how different surface areas reflect light a bit different and not just edge highlight the whole thing blindly. Could have done better imho but i think it was a good first try. (40K model, be warned XD) Spoiler Edited January 4, 2023 by Gitzdee

zombiepiratexxx
After spending lots of time, painting lots of things, last year I sat down and worked out, from the past 5 or so years, what I'd have the most fun painting. I'd decided that was Skaven as I'd really loved painting the Spiteclaw stuff for Underworlds when that first came out. So, I got some Skaven. First model I painted was the Screaming Bell and it was a lot of fun to do. Now I'm moving on to Clanrats and if I can do those guys the rest of the army will follow. So, my favourite model of last year was the last one I finished. 5
mojojojo101
Oh, cool idea for a thread... always nice to look back on what you've done over the year and also get a look at what everyone else has been up to :D. First my absolute favourite model I painted this year was the Shadow Queen, its the model that got me back in the hobby and when I finished it back in late Feb it was such a good feeling. Definitely the best model I've ever painted. Second, my Duke Crackmarrow on Terrorgheist. He's huge, imposing and was a brilliant way to finish off my approx. 4k points of speed painted FEC (most of which I did in 2021). Not my best work technically but I learned so much painting this army and this model was a great way to cap it off. Then, finally Lady Olynder. The last model I painted this year and again, the culmination of a much bigger project... the 4k points of Nighthaunt I painted this year. Always super fun playing around with lots of blood texture and with the vast majority of work done with the airbrush its a relatively quick job too. Looking back through the year, I think I painted a lot more than I initially thought, even more so considering I had a pretty big slump in the summer. Also... I really like painting things red.
