Hi all, haven't updated this blog in a while, but plugging away when I've got some free time! Outside of the minis finished below, I've been building the stormcast half of Dominion and working on a couple of other Underworlds warbands, so plenty to keep me busy!

Hi, in addition to the good advice given, I would add a contrasting spot colour, an orange or red detail would work, so you could use bronze, but I would use for smaller details like armour trim and weapon handles. This would keep your primary colours the turquoise and silver, while drawing the eye to the smaller details. I'd recommend a colour wheel, I use it a lot when deciding secondary colour, like on the cloth on the figures below.

The Painting Contract - October 2023
MarkK replied to TheOtherJosh's topic in Painting and Modelling
Didn't make the deadline, but making some progress! I painted the bone areas green as a bit of an experiment, alot of the model was already shades of brown so I went with a contrasting colour to add some more interest. I think it came out OK, but would like some feedback on the piece so far.- 59 replies

Will miss the second goal of the month due to lack of time and spending a while longer picking a colour scheme, but making good progress now!- 59 replies

Another one of Hexbane's Hunters completed and a bigger project I'm working on; a Nurgle priest on a marshcrawla sloggoth. First time using green stuff for anything other than gap filing to create a hood and finding it difficult to get right, hopefully comes out ok in the end!

1st Witch Hunter complete Invested in a good amount of the new Vallejo Game Colour range, I'm very impressed. It's a big improvement over the previous versions.
