  1. Well, Abraxia is mentioned in the first of the Dawnbringer books - it is just a brief mention (basically just one sentence), but she is clearly referred to as "Her Highness in Ruin" ("...though the Varanguard would name their instigator only as 'Her Highness in Ruin'..."). I started reading that book few days ago, so I'll check if she is mentioned later as well.
  2. I voted for "Other" because for me it's the mix of Citadel and Vallejo - I have colours from each range that I am using on a regular basis.
  3. Thank you! Yes, the bases really changed the whole thing. I wanted them to stand on some kind of ruins, but was not willing to work on so many bases - so when I found out that pre-made bases like those existed, I immediately ordered them for the whole army It was a bit expensive, but it was also really worth it in the end, because it affected the overall look & feel of the miniature a lot. Plus, those bases fit into story about my army and their colour scheme (they are sworn protectors of Alarielle and have fortress in Ghyran).
  4. I have posted multiple pictures of my painted Stormcast Eternals models in this thread, but here’s a group shot of my entire army: All models except the Bastian Carthalos and Yndrasta use GamersGrass “Temple” bases. Besides the models shown here, I have a few more units and heroes that are not painted yet. I’ll probably paint them during the breaks from painting my Seraphon army.
  5. As I wait for the 4th edition, I am painting some leftover units and doing the "refresh" of the paintjobs on some of my older Sylvaneth models. Since my painting skills progressed a lot over the course of the last few years, there are some noticeable differences between the models that I painted when I started playing Age of Sigmar back in 2017 and the models I have painted just recently. I still love my older models, but I will definitely make some changes here and there and also redo some of the bases (because that is one of the biggest differences). Almost everything I have for Sylvaneth is fully painted now (and I have almost 5000 points) except one unit of Tree-Revenants, Alarielle and Wyldwoods. I will paint Tree-Revenants this month and I think I have a good idea how to make the woods look nice quickly. I have already posted pictures of painted Alarielle in the past - unfortunately, that model was heavily damaged when me and my family moved to the new apartment two years ago. I thought about fixing the damage, but ultimately decided to simply buy a new model and paint it again. I bought the model few months ago and assembled it over the last week - so it is ready for painting and I will make it look much better than the previous version! Here is the unit of Kurnoth Hunters that I've painted last week:
  6. My plan for April is to finish painting Kurnoth Hunters, paint 5 Tree-revenants and paint 5 Saurus warriors. I’ve already made a lit of progress on Kurnoth hunters:
  7. Hello folks and welcome to the Painting Contract for April 2024. Sit down, and join us at the painting table. If you don't know the rules, here they are: Each month you post an amount of models that you agree to try to paint/build/convert/sculpt. This can be terrain or models for Age Of Sigmar, Warcry, Blood Bowl, Blitz Bowl, Dungeon Bowl, Warhammer Underworlds, Warhammer Quest, Gorechosen, or HeroQuest. On the 28th of the month the contract closes and you can then post your progress images so that they can be critiqued, shared and boasted about. It is a great way to get involved in the community and to get inspiration. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress! Enjoy!
  8. It's been a while since I've painted any Sylvaneth models - the last one was Warsong Revenant, more than two years ago. However, Sylvaneth are my primary army and I when I saw Belthanos, I knew he would be a great addition to my army (especially since I love Kurnoth Hunters). But, my friend surprosed me a week ago and gave me Belthanos as a present. I have assembled it the next day and started paiting immediately - and here are the results:
  9. More progress on Belthanos and I also started painting one unit of Kurnoth Hunters:
  10. Ok, so two days ago I got Belthanos from a friend - and I built it immediately and started painting last night. I have already made a good progress and this is the first Sylvaneth model I'm painting after a long pause:
  11. Thanks! I am glad that you can see the progress - at the beginning I was wandering a little bit. but as the time went on I kept learning and became much more consistent with my painting. Recently, I have started painting my Seraphon/Lziardmen army. Here's the first batch of the Saurus Warriors:
  12. Didn’t manage to finish everything I wanted last month. So this month, I want to finish Angron, 5 Saurus Warriors and maybe 5 Reivers. I got a small Space Marines force and it’s very interesting to paint something like that after all of the AoS models. Here’s my first Space Marine:
  13. I did a quick repaint on one of my Annihilator units. I am much happier with this colour scheme:
  14. I don’t know if someone else has seen this, but Stu Black announced on LinkedIn that he is now Lead Product Development Manager for WH40K and Age of Sigmar. Does this mean that he is responsible for both games? I think that Ben Johnson was in that role for AoS - is Ben still part of the team?
  15. I started working on Angron and plan to finish it during February:
  16. I have finished painting Kairos Fateweaver. I have been working on this model for a long time - usually when I was taking a break from painting my Khorne models. I am very happy with how it turned out. I also tried to go an extra mile and added the word "Knowledge" written in the runes of the Dark tongue to the book on top of Kairos' staff (runes of the Dark Tongue of Chaos can be found in old WHFB army books, but you can also see them here).
  17. My Kairos Fateweaver is fully painted - I've been working on this model for while and managed to finish it yesterday.
  18. My plan is to finish Slann Starmaster - I've already done a lot of work:
  19. These are the prices in GBP, that were shared in one of the groups that I am a member of:
