Personally just happy to see anything from the Gallet book pop back up so will be grabbing up these magazines, the pictures totally made me flashback to the Thondia book which had the same way of sketching & marking the flora and fauna.

I’ll take a White Dwarf safari over nothing at all easily. :D

Hopefully next edition the manufacturer side of things will be more stable so they can pump out the narrative Realms books again.🤞

C’mon travelers tome to lost Elixia and the wilds of Chamon!

Does anyone know what kind of daemon that icon is supposed to represent? It looks slaaneshi to me but I could be wrong.

Since that’s the Realm of Metal that Tzeentch covets it could be a Tzaangor birdmen as seen from above. 🐦 😄

Absolutely loved going through the Thondia campaign battleplans. This is something this game needs more of, and we can only hope they'll plan it better for the fourth edition.

Was it the price of the Krondspine that out people off? Im not sure why it didnt sell well.

Just found out this month's White Dwarf is issue 498. Issue 500 is in 2 months and I hope GW has something in store to celebrate.

Maximum hopium : a miniature of the titular White Dwarf... we've been waiting for him in AoS for so long !

It is such a monumental issue number to reach that I would be very dissapointed to not have a new version of the White Dwarf/Duardin.

But seeing as its 2 months away maybe we will have him Previewed at Adepticon!!

Because it was initially "kidnapped" in a chunky box with a lot of scenery that was like 145/165 € and then went up to 190 € (currently listing for 145 pounds).

I do remember this releasing out of nowhere without info. We didnt clearly know what this Thondia book was about. No marketing involved. It was such a weird release and an even weirder followup with the incarnate gallet thing. And possibly even more after that.

I remember this lazy attempt at Grombrindal in AoS... thank God the game has moved away from recycling WFB minis as characters like that.

Tbf, it wasn’t lazy but just short notice. At the time the WD had become a sales pamphlet and only saw reforms after Rountree pushed for specialist games and a revived White Dwarf again.

Unfortunately that anniversary & celebration for the revivals was only 6 months away so they had to use a model on hand.

For what it’s worth his artwork looks good, especially on the AoS Champions card.(which nice touch it was part of the Death faction packs, nod to him being a spirit.)

And worked narratively as he became a slayer for failing the World-that-Was but has changed back as, unlike Gotrek fully, has come to accept the Mortal Realms as a reforged spirit of the duardin people.

I think this meme hits his tone properly, especially for the AoS mindset:

In WFB too... in a TWW trailer you could see Gromby team up with Tyrion to take some Skaven to poundtown.

combined forces of elves, dwarves and men will always hit better than elves and dwarves hating each other... truly a spectacle to see dwarven blacksmithing and gunpowder alongside elvish blacksmithing and magic

I ran out of reacts so quoting to say hear hear! 🍻

Hopefully by the end of the Cities of Sigmar getting a full revamp down the editions we’ll have stalwart human soldiers raising shields alongside enchanted aelven spears & mighty duardin siege hammers pounding down the gates of chaos so the city-Ogors can tear into them(plus whatever race or even buffed up Gargoylians GW wants to add to their roster).

It was properly revealed at Adepticon 2022, with a dedicated video, on 2022-03-24. Pre-order on 2022-04-09, at least one article before that, on 2022-04-07. Hardly "no marketing".

Sorry could have missed some of those. I remember clearly though that i was confused about the release and what it was about. Might have been just me.

Edit: They introduced a new concept. I feel like they treated it just like a model release, but it really wasnt. I think it needed a bit more info.

The main complaint here was the price. I don't know how long it take for the Incarnate the be sold separately, but I guess that was the key factor. If the FOMO is out between the big box release and the separate sale, and game wise is not that big thing, many would skip that sale.
