EMMachine
Hi guys, I open another project up. Since I have soul wars I have some nighthaunt models (actually nothing build yet because of other stuff, but will prepare this thread that I can use it for them as well) but I also started Flesh Eater Courts with the Carrion Empire Box set and bought some stuff there too. In fact, at least I started building the flesh Eater Courts models. My actual models (when build) should look like this. Abhorrant Ghoul King on Royal Zombie Dragon Abhorrant Archregent Crypt Haunter Courtier Crypt Ghast Courtier Varghulf Courtier 20 x Crypt Ghouls 20 x Crypt Ghouls 20 x Crypt Ghouls 6 x Crypt Horrors 6 x Crypt Horrors Chalice of Ushoran Corpsemare Stampede Cadaverous Barricade perhaps I will buy 1-2 more start collecting boxes as well for a Abhorrant Ghoul King on Royal Terrorgheist and some Crypt Flayers The only special model I can show is my Varghulf. Those of you, who know my Twitter Account, will already know him. I used mostly the parts of the plastic Daemon Prince.
Tommy
That’s a great looking alternative Varghulf build!
hughwyeth
Amazing Varghulf! I'm trying to figure out a way to use a conversion instead of the resin one. I had thought an ironjawz warchanter with a load of flayer wings and spare heads/bits from the horrors/flayers kits, but not sure if that would work. Daemon Prince is great but i want something a bit more dynamic pose wise!

Daemon Prince is great but i want something a bit more dynamic pose wise! Hm I think a warchanter could be a little small. The Warchanter has normally a 40mm Base, Horrors/Flayer a 50mm and the Varghulf Courtier has a 60mm Base in the FAQ. The Daemon Prince has the right base size and enough mass to fill it and I think there would be a little latitude for positioning the wings. For a short description how this model was made. I had cut off the pegs which are normally used to glue the wings on the back on the Daemon Prince removed the chaos symbol on the chest with some green stuff, models some fur between the legs I filled the holes for the wings with green stuff, while it was formable, I decorated it with some packparts of crypt Horrors (later glueing them on) then I possitioned the wings, where the arms normally should be (partly cutting a little of the torso if it doesn't fit) and filled the holes with green stuff to finish the model I glued one of the Vargheist heads on the model Edit And as a little update. Did I said something about 1-2 additional Start Collecting boxes? I think those will be Abhorrant Ghoul King on Royal Terrorgheist Abhorrant Ghoul King 20 x Crypt Ghouls 3 x Crypt Flayer 3 x Crypt Flayer Royal Terrorgheist But I still have enough stuff to build. hughwyeth
Nice! Yeah I think your conversion is great, but I want my varghulf to be climbing on some ruins about to take off flying, so not sure the daemon prince kit would work for that. It is perfect size wise though.

EMMachine
It's a long time that I was in that thread and still I don't have painted any FEC units. (I don't post that much resently because I have the feeling that after some month the forum loses the connection to some of the pictures I include from my google account. In all this time I also added Nighthaunt, Soulblight and Ossiarch Bonereapers to my collection. I started a Soulblight Vampire Army in August this year and what started as a mix of Vargheist, Blood Knights and a Vampire Lord on Zombie Dragon to start of with became 2000 Points of Kastellai and Avengorii each. Here first are the lists: Allegiance: Soulblight Gravelords - Lineage: Kastelai Dynasty - Grand Strategy: - Triumphs: Vampire Lord on Zombie Dragon (435)- General- DeathlanceCoven Throne (310)Bloodseeker Palanquin (290)Battleline5 x Blood Knights (195)5 x Blood Knights (195)5 x Blood Knights (195)5 x Blood Knights (195)5 x Blood Knights (195)Total: 2010 / 2000 Allegiance: Soulblight Gravelords- Lineage: Avengorii Dynasty- Grand Strategy: - Triumphs: LeadersVengorian Lord (280)BattlelineTerrorgheist (305) Terrorgheist (305) Terrorgheist (305)Units 3 x Vargheists (155)3 x Vargheists (155) 3 x Vargheists (155)3 x Vargheists (155)3 x Fell Bats (75)3 x Fell Bats (75) 3 x Fell Bats (75)3 x Fell Bats (75)Total: 2115 / 2000 Than in the time between August and mid September I painted 1500 Points of the Avengorii List with actually quite a simple color theme Fell Bats 1 Fell Bats 2 Vargheist 1 Vargheist 2 Vargheist 3 Terrorgheist 1 Terrorgheist 2 Vengorian Lord Group Picture 1000 Points Group Picture 1500 Points
