  2. Good Morning! Italian Legion of the First Prince player here! After some debriefing from the playtest of yesterday I feel in difficulty against that kind of threat. In my brainstorm I saw only a question of dices and mission: in some missions or with some bad rolls I can't win. Period. So what's your solutions? Any other alliegiances talks are welcome here 🙂 Let me know.

  4. In age of sigmar the competitive scene is much worse (I do not begin to argue why, otherwise we go OT), so I dont' think it's a fact of power balancing. In warcry where someone plays skaven I can choose any A tier warband and reap his ass off, same as aos, but with the difference that it cost way less cash/time/resources. The competitive rule set maybe a real fact, cause there is a crossroad in this game: allowing the exclusive use of the 8 bands would create a more balanced, but repetitive and poor game; while giving almost all other factions access to interact has created a varied but unbalanced situation. I believe that one of the main solutions is to keep the factions as they are now, but giving the possibility to mark the cultists, in order to have choices in the STD and in the 4 cults of chaos. Then rebalance points values in a "general handbook" style.
  5. Yeah, they need to push it more aggressively. 2022 will be its 3rth birthday, so new edish in summer, like Killteam? Anyone knows something about the competitive scene of warcry UK or America?
  6. I would like to reflect on a question, without going too far OT: now that warcry will be relaunched by the new expansion, do you think it will gain the popularity it deserves? I hope so, because it is one of the funniest rules written by GW and I don't understand why it doesn't have its own circuit 😐
  7. I think the Slaughterborn is the new champion of the marauder unit. So a Slaves to Darkness mini release. Using warcry to fill in the holes left by old kits would be a very smart move and at this point I hope they do it. I think GW is trying to satisfy a bit of all tastes: both the classic and the new and arguing that the old updated concepts are boring is quite funny. Instead, I can share the fact that the cultists in age of sigmar are quite boring to play, but that is a rules issue.

  10. I make some considerations on the Warcry situation: - If the next box of warcry follows the progression, chaos vs death will await us (1st box chaos vs chaos, 2nd box chaos vs order). And at that point, based on some the rumor engines, I would try to say Nighthaunts. - Tome of champions 2021 is still missing and will very easily come out together with the new expansion, before the end of the year. I think October 30th will be the day when we will have the full reaveal with eventual dates. - I'm really loving the fact that I want to explore chaos in its most disparate forms, far from the classic concept of "horned helmet and random spikes". Bravo, GW!
  11. So, my 2 cents: - first and foremost, the dogma: the fact that you can charge turn 1 doesn't mean you have to. Ironsunz is the counter-attackt ribe, so try to exploit their command ability against the opponent's key units. - split pigs in 2 units is a mistake, despite coherency (ANY of your unit must hit hard and maximize attivation) - no wizards? Really? - consider a 15x Ardboyz unit, for living home with a good anvil.
  12. Cool! Can I ask you something? Have you ever found difficulty in scoring secondaries that ask you to destroy untits with that list? If someone asks to me,I'll answer yes, cause a play the same list, but I play Sylleske other than the Epitome. I'm curious to read some brainstorms about it, all the people here are called to do it 😃
  13. IMHO you can't set up out of deep strike Judicators/Melusai or 36" range of blind shooting Sentinels. And one of these players targets one of your only 2 heroes. And we're talking about a single unit... then there's the rest of the army. Boys, I let's research the battle reports if possible, because this list in the hand on many will do near nothing, out of being pityful. I wanna see what Bill Souza have done and then talk about it.

The problem is not in the numbers, but in the conditions to maximize: 3 cokcatrices within 10", must see the target and then roll 4+; Synessa within 18", must see the target and then roll under armor save, etc...and this list haven't deep strikes, ambush or ways to increase threat range. So even if you roll hot at your turn, the next you are in the face of the enemy. Wanna talk about Sentinels/Melusai/Judicators? 😁
  15. Yep, maybe I readed fast, but what's important of my intervention reamains: this is not a "pretty brutal" output at all.
  16. How you get 4d6? At 4+ 3 cockatrices do 1-2d6 and then roll for the damage that is 4 or 7 (talking about average). It's a very poor output, near armies like LRL/DoK/SCE/Skaven. So....ok, he is a very good player, but in a "normal situation" how you prevent Snakes, Giants and Ironjwas from wipe you out? Maybe his oppenets played poorly. I'm really curious about the complete battle report.
  17. Yep, this is a wise question. In fact I would like to raise a reflection about slow units in general: if I have to get to charge, but I'm slow (GG move 5" vs Warstomper move 12") how can I position myself without risking being destroyed in his turn? The first answer will be screens, but 20 zombies were in front of 30 skeletons, 10 wolves on one side and 10 wolves summoned by radukar on the other, both taking objs. End of the screens.
  18. So the battle of Valpurgis is lost 😅 My last was: VLOZB, Radukar, Belladamma, Necro, 30x skelly, 20x Zombie, 10x Wolves, 20x Grave,1x Cart Brazier, Cogs. His list: 1x Warstomper, 1x Gate, 2x3 Mancrushers. Mission was the one with the objectives that moves to the center. So, the thing is: he puts 2 mega in the center, in turn 4, and I haven't the space to put 40 models within 6 of the objective, because he advance and remove my chaffs. Anyway, thanks to everyone for the support, but I missed my chance to convince my friend 😂
  19. So another question as I asked in the rules question thread: Seems that the vampire lord command ability can be stacked in multiple turns, as long there is no FAQ about it. What's your idea about it?
  20. Can I spam the Vampire Lord command ability to buff a units in opponent's turns? example: My turn +1 attack, opponent turn +1 attack. Then opponent wins priority and know what? +1 attack.
  21. THIS. I'm disappointed of the command abilities erasing. Why do that, in a edition that allows you to generate more CP than the past? Just to spam redeply and all out defence?! Come on. It's ok to aim at balance, but I don't want to trade customization for trivialization.
