  1. little OT: Sure, because the entire destruction faction is only imaginable as obese humanoids and greenskinz 😂 If so, there shouldn't be chaos dwarves either. Jokes apart, it bothers me enough that order is the faction with more variety of conceptually unusual monsters and creatures, than chaos and destro. And for a reason similar to this the death alliance has never attracted me: a modeling theme unfortunately necessarily restrictive (only ossiarch have something original to say imho). Anyway, I'm hating the way GW is handling the AoS release roadmap: beyond the years old armies with copy/paste tomes accompanied by a single new model, I find it odd that it doesn't have priority over 40k (which probably will bomb a lot next year with the 10th edition).

  3. I how the rules pretty well, but the doubt rise up when a warscroll say "this model knows all the spell from...etc", without specifying if it must be part of a DoT army for this. So We need a FAQ for this, because RAW it works. ps: and abilities always overwrite general rules.
  4. Two technical questions: 1) Is it possible to play The Blue Scribes as an ally and still have access to the spheres of magic in the DoT tome? Because if that were the case we would have 6 Khorne Fellspears Varanguard that would produce 48 attacks at -4 rend in charge ... 😅 (in any case we can reproduce this crazy train with Purple Sun in Cabalists) 2) Sigvald with warshrine prayer on can charge with 3d6 and then do the same amount of attacks? Pretty Nightmarish too.
  5. Well, mancrushes even without horde bonuses (veterans or stomper) are good DPS (with a charge of Breakers' Mancrushers Mob I removed nearly 20 Bladegheists with ward 5+). So as far as they are concerned, I am quite satisfied. I've done two tests for now: Stomper tribe with War, Brodd, Kraken and 3 mini vs 8 dragons with Gardus (of the two the most interesting game, which I won) Breaker tribe with Gate, Beast, Kraken and 3 mini vs a classic Scarlet Doom (the less beautiful match, as the opponent conceded in the third round). To tell the truth I have not yet found the right lineup with the Mega, so it's early for conclusions, but the next one I try is this: Kragnos Warstomper (40 Wounds and Oak) Beast-Smasher (feets) 2x1 Mancrushers (bounty hunters)
  6. - Gobsprakk... he is described as the strongest wizard in the destruction faction, so for his cost I would say at the very least he must be a "Arkhan The Green" 😂 - Dirty tricks: if they are disposable effects they must have a substantial impact, for example "choose d3 enemy units with 4 wounds or less, remove them from play. At the end of the first movement phase the owner can deploy those units in his deployment zone beyond 9 "from enemy units." - Tribe: Grinnin blades correct; Big Yellers correct; Skullbugz can change in: Re-roll hit rolls of 6 against units of Skullgugs. - Point costs decreased for Gutrippaz, Killabow, Boltboyz and Sludgeraker.
  7. Do we want to talk about the gorebeast chariots? A unit of 3 develops a number of mortal wounds out of mind 😂 Let's go, brothers! "For the ruin and the end of the world!"
  8. I think the triumph +1 to wound is crucial with so many profile with few attacks, so points unspent for that purpose are a wise choice. When you roll so few dice, every missed shot is a massive instant DPS loss.
  9. In some sort they are better now, but you must elaborate the list around a mob. My diagnosis a few days after the new tome is that: Stomper for mobs or Smasher for single minis. Without forgetting that the minis do not degrade on "Mightier Makes Rightier".
  10. The question that I have not yet understood is: is it better to set the list more for DPS or tanking? There are several solutions at the moment and I doubt that the 4 Megas is convenient anymore, as half of the battle traits are dedicated to mancrushers.
  11. I think the stomper tribe can see some space into the battlefields this time. I wanna try the 40 wounds Oak Warstomper, in a 3+3 list.

  14. As I wrote 🙂 40 points are fine for for a model with 6+ save, 2 wounds, bravery 5, range 12 "and no universal battline? Pathetic for such a profile 😂 (said like Skinner in The Simpson) The sludgeraker has a good ability (it would be great if not wholly within), but in no case in life can cost more than a Maggot Lord (you pay Orghotts and Bload 300), so 315 is too much for all the performance that I've seen it done. Here, on the other hand, it could be a question of philosophy: boost the warscroll without touching the cost or the reverse.

It's simple what GW has to do for this alliance: remove many die rolls from traits (example: "choose D3 unreinforced units and remove them from the battlefield") and decrease the point costs of several units, including Gutrippaz, Killa- Bow, Sludgeraker and Bolt-Boyz (in order of urgency). Then if I really want to do "a great job" they also fix Skull bugz. I don't know how.
  16. So 4th tribe coming? I'm noticing little excitement in this thread...despite the new releases and the fact that the alliance continues to be in the top tier.
  17. Thanks first of all for the quick guide. If I may, I wanted to ask you a couple more curiosities: - Why choose "No place for the weak" instead of "Waaagh!" for grand strategy? It seems much more difficult to complete, especially against Sons and Nighthaunt. - Will the 16 pages of tactics on the blog be about Bonesplitterz? If so, super interesting! 😃

Let's analyse: - Flying move 12" - Re-roll run AND charges wholly within 10" - No retreat to all units wholly within 10" - +1 cast AND dispel/unbind at bigger range (6" Idol vs 10" Krondy) - -1 to cast for enemy wizard wholly within 10" - All out offence pin point (very useful with MSU lists) - Unable to die before battleshock phase So Krondy maybe hit less hard than Idol, but is a very tactic piece to have in the arsenal.

While the answers are missing from this thread, I add some feedback on an Icebone list that I tested last night against Nighthaunt: 4x Savage boss (one of which is Great Hunter) 2x Wurrgog 2x4 Stabbas 3x2 Stabbas 2x5 Boarboys 10x Savages Krodspyne It is not an immediate list to run, but it certainly has its strong points, including the ability to move after the deploy to use both an aggressive tactic, and put pressure on the objectives. Icebone is the average good alliance against everyone, while Drakkfoot is specific towards some mathcup, but despite this I took home the victory thanks to the boarboys screens and the domination over the objectives (mission with 6 objectives). ps: the Incarnate alone is able to negate Nighthaunt's primary "Fright or Flight". pps: 4 bosses who beat all of them in a row, followed by 4 big stabbas bounty hunters are quite incisive in the melee (especially if you can also put Krodspyne close to it and do the All Out Offence bubble).
  20. Hey! Can I ask you any questions about the list? I am very curious to see how it behaves in my local meta, and also following the @PlasticCraic blog, I am trying to understand how the Bonesplitterz deal with certain situations. For example: against Seraphon and Nighthuant how did you manage?
  21. Yeah, the situation for SoB is "fully dominate or get tabled". I'm testing from the previous month an array of lists, but DPS really hurts them (stormcast is the worst matchup hands down). You're from the US? How goes there the meta?
  22. Well, I think there will be many things to rediscover, starting with the Warstomper that objectively sucks hard. Do we want to make some predictions? - Each mega mace will do 3 fixed damage and the flail of Gate 4; - If the king's hammer does not do at least 5 damage per hit I will be offended; - Each D3 damage will become 2 and each D6 will become 4; - Scaling table for "mightier makes rightier", like Kragnos; - "mightier makes rightier" will continue to overwrite every battleplan; - Mancrushers armor save at 4+; - All the various "reroll dice" will instead become +1; - Behemat Prayer Table.
  23. Hi, rat people! A simple question about a command ability: A master moulder can really respawn a Moulder destroyed unit immediately after is been destroyed, so in any phase? Thanks.
  24. Played since day one (summer 2019) and I can say with no doubt that Warcry is far better than AoS (I'm also a tournament player of AoS, in my country). Why? Simple rules, awesome scenery and leterally any faction good to have fun with. Oh, and this time you have: - free core rules - free compendium with 800 cards - 3 different expansions coming for sure really: the only reason to stay away from Warcry is not to enjoy playing skirmish games.
  25. Speaking of the Nova, what do you think will be the two upcoming destruction tomes? My theory is that the gobbos will be there at 90% (almost completely redone range and old tome), but on the second I don't know if Ogors or Gargants. As they both need a freshen up. If I were in GW? I would have chosen SoB. By bringing out a special character.
