The fear of missing out is real with this warcry warband box, the sylvaneth one is really tempting ! But on the other hand i still have to finish my idoneth warband, and my stormcast warband, and my nighthaunt warband...

I would love that, imagine Curse of Strahd / Ravenloft but with actual good minis.

Considering that The Old Word is going to reappear in the future, I think the GW team did a very good job to release these new aelves, they are different and unique enough to differentiate them from the High Elves of the past. I think the whole mystical, strange aspect of this world of light is reflected in the models. These helmets don't make any sense, but that's what's great about them, they look alien, weird, they look like they belong to another world but still have a certain majestic character. If these new aelves were too identical or similar to the High Elves of the world that was, it would have been a failure in the design. Still, you have to be able to say "this army doesn't belong to the old world" when you see it. And I hadn't had that impression when I saw the lancers and the horsemen dawnriders, even though the models are excellent. I mean i'm a sucker for the "ancient Greek" aesthetic so i'm biased of course. For my part, I realize that this army is not for me, we're more in a mystical iconography like Persian empire or Babylonian. What I like in the High Elves of the old world is really the greek side, spartan like, that is to say an elite of warriors that we find in the Akhelians and that reinforces me in my choice to start an army of Idoneth. I was afraid that these newcomers would overshadow them completely but in the end they are quite complementary. They're cool but without stepping on each other either. Plus they don't ride cool sharks or eels, you can keep your cows anytime Lumineths

Deepkins are not weird, they are amazing ! Besides, I wonder what the units of the river clan will look like. And if they are a fighting caste like the Mountain Clan...

I took a comission (i'm a new painter) for a friend (he don't like to paint that much) to paint his nighthaunt army before the lockdown. He instructed me not to paint them ethereally - So they're skeletons in big sheets and some of them are on fire. It was fun at first, but i cornered myself with some models who gives me problem like Harridans, so I got painting anxiety now. I'll try to finish this week end but never ever i will take a commission again.

I first i was thinking Idoneth Deepkin, but the jewel make me thing of Lumineth, like someone else say it's probably the river lumineth

People are getting excited because the design of this new unit is too much "AoS" and not Old Worldish. But i think we should keep in mind that these gals are probably a very elite unit, think royal guard / bodyguard of the Icequeen. I dont think the rest of the army will look like that, with ice magic and ornemental armor

I dit not expect Kislev at all this early, but with Total War 3 it makes sense i guess. Also they tease us with a elite unit from Kislev, it's odd. But at the same time, i'm super excited ! I'd love to make a Kislev army too !

I hope they'll tell us more about the shape of this new game. Are we on a skirmish game (I doubt it but we like playing mordheim in my game group)? Or rank and flank battle game ? (If I understood well the setting which is the period of the 4 emperors and I'm very excited at the prospect of seeing new Empire miniatures appearing. But will the first release be exclusively human? I know some people who will complain. Even if I would be delighted to have new potential freeguild minis releases For the Empire !

The other day the stirling pound fell to 1.07 euros. I took the opportunity to get myself a start collecting idoneth and some pots of paint. I don't know why, but since they announced the Lumineths visuals (which I find average except for Eltharion), I've been furious to start an army of Idoneth, I'll probably make a warband for Warcry to start with. And then i'll add sharks, lots of sharks

I believe someone on this forum suggested a vampire faction more focused on vampire corruption. Some kind of cult infiltrating the free cities to convert as many people as possible into pawns for vampire lords. I don't know much about 40k, but I think it sounds like the Genestealer Cult. It would be an army of fake priests, cults, outcasts, dregs, vampire spawn. And the leaders, on the other hand, would be real vampires, of course. I think it's a very cool idea

Hi guys, i got first issue of mortal real and really liked the new models of Stormcast, i didnt like the Liberators and the Warriors Chambers in 1st edition. Can i make a competitive army with only Sacrosanct models ? (Evocator, Liberator, Castigator etc)

I didn't have much fun painting my start collecting FEC box, I think i'd like to paint hot snake lady more than ghouls (they have the best lore but not fan of the models). I really consider taking a DoK box , but i'll wait to see more of the Lumineth to make a choice. And what if GW makes a full vampire army with new models... I hate this hobby ! Too much choice and I want everything

I hope not, i have still my house to pay. For the moment I manage to control my gaming budget by playing warcry, you don't need to invest too much for a warband, but a vampire army is far too tempting.

The models of this New stormcast warband are really nice ! But you cant get more than 5 guys/gals , there is nothing That cost less than 180 pts. I think i'll give it a try thanks to mortal realms magazine, finding cheap sequitors and castigator seem easy. And maybe pick up a box of evocators if I have fun painting those shiney knights. I have also some reserve about playing the objective with so few models and mobility. The entry cost is super low for this warband so i'll try for sure, I have to find a paint scheme

I've heard a lot of good things about Blackstone Fortress, but i'm not into 40k. I kinda wish they made "another Blackstone Fortress" but for AoS. Because i like fantasy a lot more
