  1. The pics I've seen on Twitter from people who have actually tried it out during the weekend were really amazing. Most of it was middle of the pack at the GT level shading and highlighting. Ben our host here at TGA shared on twitter a mini he did in 5 minutes that was better (in terms of shading and highlighting) then most table top work at the store level. Still needed details and some cleaning up but could be with batch painting efficiencies something like 5-10 minutes a mini (his was a sequitor so not a tiny little thing either.) That would be amazing. Units done in an evening, maybe an army painted in a week or two?
  2. I'm headed to Miami in July for a brief stop as part of a vacation. I'm not going to have a lot of free time but any gaming stores in the Port of Miami area?
  3. No worries I mean if he wants to get an intro game set up, or is past the intro phase and is just dabbing his toes in I'm happy to try and help get him set up with people to get a game or two in to test the waters. You can send me a direct message for contact info.
  4. @Televiper11I don't think I know your gutbusters/swifthawk friend. Put him in contact with me even if he doesn't play at Da Boyz. I want to keep the community growing locally!
  5. Heads up Crossroads is 5 months away and is now 65% or so full. It's not a huge event but is a lot of fun particularly with the BYOB aspect.
  6. Also I should mention the upcoming Jersey Triumph GT in June worth checking out https://www.triumphgt.com/
  7. Da Boyz is the biggest AoS event in the Northeast US. I'm a little biased but I like to think it's one of the best too Registration usually opens in July and has sold out the last two years so don't wait to get in. http://www.daboyzgt.com/ Martin @Red Geist just started a hobby blog on TGA for his stuff he is working on. He won best painted at Da Boyz in 2018. He's a great resource for finding games in and around NYC/NJ with him now on TGA may be easier to get in touch with him.
  8. 14 in already with months to go. Don't wait to get in as looks like they are going to hit their slot cap pretty quickly. http://www.crossroads-gt.com/participants.html
  9. Martin Orlando https://twitter.com/cv_consigliere?lang=en is NYC based and runs tournaments in NYC. There is a NYC Warhammer AoS group on FB that may be a good place to find folks as well.
  10. I don't have him but now I think maybe I should!
  11. @TheNotebookGMI don't know for sure but I bet Dwarves/ Duardin will stay around in some fashion. Interestingly I was just playing around with dwarf list ideas. I think dropping 200 wounds worth of dwarfs on objectives backed by some characters might be pretty effective. I recommend looking at The Army Painter product line they have some products that make painting much faster and require very little skill to use. Where are you coming from? If upstate NY also check out Crossroads.
  12. Wonderful. Draft rules are being shared with some colleagues for feedback but I plan on having them up in the next month. Registration usually opens in July. Gary
  13. Event Title: Crossroads Grand Tournament - New York USA Event Author: gjnoronh Calendar: Events USA Event Date: 09/28/2019 09:00 AM to 09/29/2019 12:00 AM Crossroads 2019 registration is open! http://www.crossroads-gt.com/home.html The oldest of the northeast USA Warhammer events. Age of Sigmar Grand Tournament also Kings of War, Blood Bowl tournaments. Come for the awesome gaming make memories over the best margaritas you've had at at GT. Tons of fun every year. My favorite event to attend every year I've gone. Rules to be posted but expect it to essentially match the Da Boyz rules set. Straight matched play with Realm rules and secondary objectives per GW's August 2018 suggestions is very likely. I run the Blood Bowl event at this event but will be there as always. 19. Jon Green from Canhammer - he built the list for $20 to prove the point you could make a Warhammer army on a budget but he did well with it.
  20. All lists are on the main page: http://www.daboyzgt.com/fantasy/
  21. Lovely table and terrain. Did you make the terrain yourself or is it from a professional company?
  22. 58 Registered, 56 made it the first game (a few were out a bit too late the night before) 54 finished the event ( more hangovers and family obligations) Results here: http://www.daboyzgt.com/2016-results/
