  1. You've come to the wrong site and the wrong company. It's ok you were looking for mantic games and the 9th age... you're welcome
  2. I'd like to see some range too. And it fits well with their more martial theme as well, maybe not now a ibwpuld expect to see something unique though these days from GW
  3. It would be great if people.could just admit they were overly hopeful on TK coming back and have now been dissapointed. These are the spirutual successor to TK, no it's not exactly what you want but is was the obvious way they'd go and I think they've knocked it out the park! I actually think a TK force led by settra would work as an army of GA order. With some lines still passable. But this faction checks a lot of boxes for me! Undead riders, skeletal warmachine, great characters all based on the morghast aesthetic . If we see some bone giant type monster's , missile troops etc this is going to be an amazing release. Not sold on the posing of the normal troops, little bit awkward looking for GWs usual standards recently.
  4. I'm really excited for a death faction and especially one that has some mortal followers ala the malign portent story. The only thing stopping me thinking that could be possible was GWs mention of mortal death followers using the mercenaries rules as a way to thematically add them to your death faction
  5. I feel like there's two more death factions easily left to do. I was an undead player for many years in my early teens and when they split undead into 2 factions and released vampire counts all of my models were from the tomb kings side and not vampire counts! I asked every week if the new book was out because I was unable to use my models and all I got back was eye rolls ( bless their patience with an annoying 13 yo🤣 I actually stopped playing before tomb kings were ever a faction and haven't played a fantasy game until AoS about 18 months ago! Anyway I wasn't bothered by TK being squatted but did like the reanimated constructs from death magic and loved the end times aesthetics especially the morgasts, which I do remember hearing a rumour that they were a prototype for a new faction idea of death. Now though I'm very keen on them coming back just not in the Egyptian theme. A new faction based off of a new mortarch, with more morghasts , ushabi type monstrous creatures, sphinxs could use the same kit as well as the stalkers. Throw in some skellies to boot and a few plastic leaders and your good to go.. i would stay away from being direct descendants of TK but have two ways to play from the battletome, loyal to settra and with the grand alliance order or allied to Nagash with a new mortarch of dust. Future death battletomes. -TK Soulblight ( legion of blood)(vampires, thralls and bats and all the way in between)Might offer a more neutral tale on death who warned completely subservient -deadwalkers( new name needed) a rolling tide of stinking decay reanimating as it goes, using slain models to add to your 'summoning pool' building up big enough pools to raise zombie dragons and flesh giants from the available dead at your disposal!! All put together by necromancers and corpse carts. I wouldn't bother with a deathrattle tome. Skellies do well in LoN and work well witj every faction to tie it all together.

  7. I'm confused! Reading a few comments over the last few pages and elsewhere. Are we getting a new death faction? Is there anymore to go on other than the right speculation, I'm very interested in a new death faction but not sure if I've missed something
  8. Right so i was convinced Darkoath were getting a model release and battletome at some point. First the Herald, but they didn't come, then I gave up hope, but then the nightvault warband, and they're still not here! Now with warcry and especially untamed beasts & chaos beasties I don't think, nor do I think there need to be one now. GW have shifted focus now to Legions of Nagash and Cities of Sigmar style books unless they're is a clear new model line now. Plus some battletomes have hardly anything in so it's I think we're unlikely to see battletomes consisting of only 5-10 kits now. I'm hopeful though there is a big StD/darkoath/everchosen book to combine old and new together. I think a small darkoath release of a mppk footsoldiers, a big beast with howdah, some monstrous cavalry or beast master unit and this would fit in nicely. Couple all that with the warcry stuff and maybe an everchosen foot troop and i dont think anything really needs adding. The warcry boxes are a bit limited but could release some splintered ****** elves or iron golem ogors or dwarves to add a bit of diversity. What does everyone think? I'm so intrigued with how they'll do all this, once something similar is done and maybe a skaven release chaos are in a very long term good place. Just need that tome!!

    Tomb Kings Discussion

I was going to start a thread but saw this so o can ask my question here. Obviously there's a fair bit of rumours around a TK release going around atm. I'm just curious as to what people's expectations are if it was true? Do you want it to be copy and paste from WFB? Or a complete redo of the range? or a concoction of both? What aesthetic and units do people want to see?
  10. I think it will be a mix of new and old. Jabberslythe, warhounds, chimera, spawn etc but also some new beasties. I would also like to see some mercenaries come into play, chaos trolls, etc.. maybe even a hangers on feature like necromunda could be interesting

    Warcry wishlisting!

The only other thing I'm not seeing is a difficult terrain test for scaling walls or danger test for jumping. I f You just move around terrain as normal then what's the point!!

    Warcry wishlisting!

Yeah i agree with slaanesh needing a dedicated warband for this game. They were really lacking the mortal aspect in their recent release

    Warcry wishlisting!

So I've been super excited for this release and it looks like it's ticking all boxes for me. Hoping to see some add on for leveling up but this is as close to what I'd want from a skirmish game as possible. Anyhow the warbands have been a slam dunk, I have been wanting to see realm specific warbands for a while and they do it and filling out the myriad worshippers of chaos all on one go! Very well done GW. Personally I was fine with it being all chaos but the addition of other alliances immediately gets other players involved so that's great. I'm actually fine with not seeing any more established factions although skaven and beastmen spring to mind for chaos. Scourge privateers for order and ogors for destruction would fit well too. So on to a wish list. -more chaos beasties -keep up the scenery packs -expanded campaign including boss fights, levelling up Tec - "season 2" to feature realm specific order warbands. Really to flesh out the ordinary settlers and citizens even further. Would fit in well with the new cities of sigmar battletome
  14. I'm not sure what the problem is with it being chaos only. I applaud them for it and hope they can really flesh out an alliance that should be as varied as order. If there is an expansion after the six warbands have been released I hope it's more chaos. It's similar to necromunda, I don't here people asking for a big xenos or chaos expansion in that.
  15. I think this looks awesome and the models are so good! Great to see so much love for chaos undivided recently in all systems. If those 6 factions are mortal realms that's a great addition. I've been clamouring for free peoples to be done like that, and it's much easier to do that in a skirmish setting
  16. Lol I thought they were cannons without glasses on
  17. Anyone have any herds to show off? I've never owned a beastman army but they've always had the best over all theme and aesthetic in my eyes! Does anyone wanna share their armies?
  18. Hi guys. I'm trying to find out if the only difference between tempest of souls and storm strike is the models? Do they have the same booklets, rules etc but different models??
  19. I thought as much bit have you seen some confirmation? I'm itching to see new nighthaunt AND new shadespire warbands

    A vampire army

Alot of people make blood knights out of dragon knights. I think some kitbashing between those your knights and some death upgrade kits and you would have a very good looking army! Maybe you could use the terrogheist as a sort of corrupted unicorn or pegasus keeping with the knightly theme. For your infantry models what about some thralls, use lots of random men from different sets but give them a unifying scheme. They would be in servitude to their vampire masters on their way to death!
  21. Is it likely we have already saw some of the deep kin as rumour engines? The time frame of release and how they cover ne models implies to me that they have . I'm going dakka dakka for a revisit! Wish me luck ? OK im back. I'm thinking definitely the octopus and hand holding chains. Also there are some still unrevealed ones that look a bit steam punk that were apparently not KO
  22. Little bit disappointed about the 8 factions in the book if they are the only ones (although it may be they are just mentioning some, or the next factions after that are in another warhammer underworld expansion). I thought when I heard them say they play tested relentlessly that they meant like 15-20 factions not 8!! So a bit disappointed but now they know what balances they can add more easily later i suppose
