  1. I agree with this wholeheartedly. And I don't even drink beer nor eat pretzels.
  2. I don't loathe the Abraxia model, but it bothers me slightly that Chaos is becoming increasingly... un-chaotic. It's all becoming a bit samey. All wearing similar armour, all got horns, etc. And the mount is a bit generic, isn't it? Could easily pass as a Kruleboys or Serpahon monster without many changes. Maybe it's just me who likes the bizarre side of Chaos...
  3. Do we know for sure that she's not a multi-build model? A pity. Like you said, a generic backside-kicking character for the Slaves would be very much appreciated.
  4. I've been saying something similar for ages now. A big, beautiful lore'n'art book would be glorious, and something I'd totally fork out the dosh for. Something a bit like the Liber Chaotica volumes (which I still refer back to for a inspiration booster!)
  5. It would be bleedin' typical if the Beasts were given the boot; I've just perfected my technique for painting Slaanesh-flavoured beast-fur, have got two classic beastie characters sitting on my painting table, and was considering investing in a Cygor....
  6. I'm contemplating adding another five Myrmidesh Painbringers to my collection. Anyone regularly field a unit of ten of them? Tips?
  7. I'm not sure that Slaanesh is up for haggling right now...
  8. This year? Dear gods, that's some speed painting. There was me all impressed with myself for finishing off about a dozen models so far this year! They look really great. Nice work on the bases, too.
  9. I've got a nasty feeling that Chaos God-aligned soups, as least ones using the Coalition system, will be disappearing with this new edition. It's pretty clear that these new Darkoath chappies aren't going to be answerable to an individual Chaos God, and the Beasts are are likely to either be going bye-byes or getting turned into something completely different. A pity. I've got lots of Slaves and Beasts customised and painted up in Slaanesh livery!
  10. Oh, that is just gorgeous! Love the bi-coloured beard.
  11. I know... and I miss the fun bits. Unnerving my opponent with my seductive gaze was glorious fun! But, seriously, it has become annoyingly convoluted. I'd love to see things untangled a bit. I used to like introducing newbies with a first game. Nowadays I'm lucky to remember most of the rules myself!
  12. Interesting bit of analysis. I do think Daemonettes are a little underrated. I sometimes take a unit of 20 of them, and they perform OK. Not fantastic... but not a waste of the points, either. Slickblade Seekers, though, are a compulsory inclusion. It's almost a bit tedious, having to field them every time.
  13. Didn't expect to ever see the term 'BBW' on this forum. How delightful!
  14. I used to be very much in this camp. I pretty much tuned out all the stuff going on with the named heroes. But then they started making named hero models that were too lush to ignore! I still don't pay a great deal of attention to the big narrative stuff... but I do read up on the bits that involve my chosen faction's heroes (or villains, that should really be!)
  15. Slaanesh has waited long enough. He's running out of filthy videos to watch on his iPhone.
  16. I'm making an educated guess that Marauders will no longer be able to take the Mark of a specific god. Takes them out of the running for being Coalition units in the gods' armies. Not that anyone uses Coalition units much anyway. Just sayin'.
  17. Hah!! That was my immediate mental go-to when I saw them. Couldn't remember the name of the show, though.
  18. I've never really paid much attention to ' the merch' side of things, but opened the link because of a vague interest in the display cases. Good grief. People really do love this Warhammer thing, don't they? And I say that as someone who has considered getting a Mark of Slaanesh tattoo.
  19. You're speaking my language eloquently there!
  20. Squeeee! That could be glorious. All in Venetian-style carnival masks, perhaps, and flamboyant outfits. Love it. It'd get me into Warcry instantly!
  21. Since the Marauders are at long last getting replaced, I thought I'd show off what I've done with the existing models to make them more palatable. I found that the biggest drawback with them was the goofy heads, so I simply replaced them with stripped-down Chaos Warrior helmets. Some of them I kept the one horn, as the assymatrical look of them is a recurring visual element in my collection. I quite like how they've turned out. They remind me of the (superior) old metal Marauder models, who mostly had all-enclosing helmets.
  22. I'm probably alone in finding these new Darkoath models a trifle underwhelming. Kind of generic and... realistic, I suppose. I like my Chaos to be a bit more extravagant and baroque. Doesn't matter, anyway, because it sounds like they're really pushing the 'unaffiliated with the gods' vibe, and I'm not interested in troops that I can't have devoted to Slaanesh!
  23. I wonder how long it'll take for them to spot the misspelling...
