  1. Don't know if this is the right place for asking, but does anyone happen to know why the Khelt Nar Witches are dark-skinned? I don't think GW ever did much with Aelves in terms of ethnic diversity. Was it just a stylistic decision to let their color scheme stand out more? I think they look awesome and am just wondering if this was ever adressed lore-wise.
  2. Seating Ghul King leaning on his sword sounds really awesome, and I'm not even looking to play Flesheaters Courts! 😊 Though... Aren't seated characters (seated on inanimate objects, mind you) not more or less limited to also being able to levitate (e.g. Lord Kroak or the Alarith Stone Mages)? And that doesn't seem fitting for Flesheaters.
  3. I'm really intent on bringing Teclis since I love the character, I put a lot of time and effort into the model, and he seems to be such an amazing toolbox. He provides some defence against Mortal Wounds and can teleport the Stoneguard as well. Guess I really need to get my hands on Malign Sorcery. Will the box get updated?! Or do I just get it for the models and find the updated rules a) online or b) in the new core rules?
  4. Same here. I am, perhaps foolishly, trying to come up with a 2000-points Ymetrica list with Teclis, a Stone Mage and a Spirit of the Mountain. But I can't come up with a combination of Stoneguard and other units that doesn't overshoot or underscore the points. I also found myself looking at Endless Spells just to fill up a little.
  5. Maybe Gobsprakk will be an amped-up Swampcalla and can do similar things?! He's supposed to be a Shaman after all.
  6. What do you Boyz reckon how important it'll be to have a second Swampcaller Shaman? I hate using the exact same Hero twice, and he doesn't seem to be easily convertable.
  7. Though I found that BR: Teclis was a little lacking in original art. Most of it was from the Lumineth tome(s).
  8. I have to say, I very much enjoy your enthusiasm.
  9. I'm thinking about switching all the black cloth on the Kruleboyz to off-Whites and sand- or cream colored. Then go for sand dune bases. I think going for desert instead of swamps would be a great fit for the bandit- or raider theme they"ve got going on.
  10. Just a question, since it came up in the FAQ: How does everyone feel about players who have their army completely painted up in a certain color scheme, but keep switching subfactions for 'better' rules? I guess I can appreciate people wanting to enjoy different play styles without buying and painting the same faction twice, but on the other hand I think it's nice if an army project has an ongoing identity..
  11. So, did miscasts cause any casualties? I still haven't quite decided on a Great Nation but my favorites are Ymetrica and Zaitrec. Currenty I own Teclis, Eltharion, a Cathallar, a Loreseeker, a Stonemage, 10 Wardens, 10 Sentinels, 10 Stoneguard and 5 Dawnriders. Oh, and a Shrine Luminor.
  12. Man, Hobgrotz aren't just ugly models, but they don't seem to have any synergy with Kruleboyz or Orruks in general. And they aren't even battleline. Just cheap, bad models that probably die to a stiff breeze and can't kill anything in return. Good thing I'll have 20 of those then. Sorry for sounding salty.
  13. So, I don't know if anyone here has the time and leisure at hand, but I for one would love if the more experienced and successful Aelven lords of light out there could walk us through where every Great Nation might stand in AOS 3. And I mean a little more depth than just "Ymetrica : No Alarith batallion = unplayable and bad. Been bad before also". So something like a mini guide, advantages and disadvantages and which units to take.
  14. Hey there, thanks a lot! 😊 I don't like the light blues GW's studio painters used for a lot of their Ymetrica models, so I wanted to stick to the cream-colored robes of the Wardens. Plus my choice of switching Ymetrica's blue to Turqoise. And also wanted to try out a blueish silver on the helm piece, sword and the moon on the staff. BTW love your Idoneth skin! ❤
  15. I mean... if I'm not mistaken those are... white ... fangs in your profile pic, aren't they? Come on, we all know there are Hedonite and BOC players held captive under GW stores, where the evil overlords are harvesting their salty gamer tears!
  16. Of course you would say that... So the mods in here are FangAnon as well.
  17. Whitefang's reactions are this forum's version of Q-drops. I can't wait until people start drawing elaborate maps that show all the connections between things they (meaning Whitefang) have reacted to in what way. And these maps would become exceedingly more bizzare and outlandish, and in a year from now everyone will be feverishly discussing when the true AOS designers will finally take control of Nottingham and release that Silent People/Fimir battletome. Just you wait, Deep Workshop, the Storm is coming. Where we game one, we game all.
  18. Thank you so much for your kind words! Truly an honor. Ah well, I'm always insecure about my work. The base alone got a little over 80 likes - the most a model of mine ever got - so I was a little bummed out when the finished Celennar only reached 20. But apart from my social media worries I am quite proud of the Archmage. Think it's my best work until now.
  19. Done with the Archmage. Since I have the feeling that Instagram won' t be kind to me, I'd be happy if you guys gave the old Aelven God of Magic some love.
  20. Build an Alarith-themed Ymetrica army and you get a like in my book. I actually think Stoneguard with their Seneshals being able to hand out All Out Defence and the Stone Mage casting Mystic Shield would result in a really durable infantry block, provided the enemy doesn't have MW spam. Please let us know how it's working out.
  21. This smells like a Duardin Grudgeclans scenario, where you'll be able to play each subfaction solo but also in a united manner, like with Orruks. And this also furthers my belief in a general trend towards unifying armies and themes. This will also result in Malerion and Morathi joining forces to form Umbraneth Shadowlords (or whatever) instead of Malerion bringing his own full-fledged Lumineth-sized army.
  22. Oh god, yes... And those tiny ankles! Had several Griffin models break at that exact spot. But some armies were just amazing and creative. Hated their take on Dwarves though.
  23. Confrontation had some marvelous minatures, mostly better than what GW offered at the time, but getting them to fit into these square bases was a nightmare...
  24. Sooo... Kruleboyz are bad and Dominion didn't sell out?! Well, that shines a rather unfortuntate light on that impulse purchase of mine.
  25. I for one am beyond happy - not ecstatic as that would be wrong - about Slaanesh being nuked by the point increase, because Slaanesh is all that is wrong with America, I mean the Mortal Realms today!!!!!!!!!! Oh, you'll see, the Storm(cast) will be coming for all those disgusting perverts, and the God Emperor will Make Azyr Great Again!!!!! Too early or too late?!
