  1. For Psychic Awakening, the big releases were the Aeldari sculpts, the special Space Wolf/Ork dual box (which was mostly notable for the two special characters in it), and the AdMech stuff. Not a lot of new units.
  2. Nagash is 800, and Archaon is even more, but players fielding either of them regularly complain about fitting in a workable army around their cost. Now imagine paying 1200+ for both Tyrion and Teclis instead. The synergy warscroll thing could maybe work, but would need to come with some kind of downside to make it not cost even more.
  3. Yeah, it remains to be seen just how accurate calling it a "second wave" is. It may not be much more of that than the dirigible suit endrinmaster was for KO (although I'd love to see proper second waves for both factions, and Fyreslayers too).
  4. It's definitely smart to be cautious about assuming "new army"--I was burned by overhyped assumptions several times in 2020.
  5. Given Teclis' cost, Tyrion would need to be the cheapest god-level character in the game to make that work--not much more than Eltharion! I'd rather see Tyrion be a badass worth of a 500+ point cost than that. I mean, I suppose you can technically fit a 500+ point Tyrion in alongside Teclis and three battleline, but it doesn't sound like an interesting army to me.
  6. I thought it looked more like a wisp of flame or the tail of a phoenix, but you could be right! Interesting point about the Aelementiri being purely Teclis associated! I doubt we'll see a purely Tyrionic battletome, but it does raise interesting questions.
  7. I have just been staring at stills of the rider guy on and off all day. Just willing it to become a complete image. BY THE LIGHT OF HYSH, YIELD UP YOUR SECRETS! ...Okay, that didn't work, but I think I can make out a sheathed but very fancy and large sword at the rider's side, just under/behind the shield.
  8. I'd be surprised if that was the direction they were taking. I think it's just a title to express how the character's devotion to Slaanesh plays out. After all, Lord of Pain doesn't work that way, and Sigvald is called "the Magnificent," not "Lord of Vainglory" or "Lord of Pride." Basically, I wouldn't read too much into it the title.
  9. Personally, if the Stalkers get any change, I would rather see their Aspects become an actual decision point in game. Right now the -1 Rend and +1 Damage on the same Aspect is too good to choose anything except maaaaaybe Blade-Parry in edge cases. If they reigned that in to be one of those bonuses instead of both, I'd like that, although they'd definitely need a points reduction at that point!
  10. Large feet, not particularly stout or barrel chested, and overall just smaller than modern duardin/dwarf sculpts. I'd say Halfling.
  11. A mounted melee hero with a cool monster, especially one that is not a special character, is literally the top of my list for Lumineth releases. Here's hoping you're right!
  12. I had serious productivity issues for most of 2020, but around the end of November I started to get a little fire in me, so most of my progress happened at the end of the year. Still, progress is progress, I suppose! The earlier part of the year was focused primarily on 40k work with Adeptus Custodes, and a little bit of AoS with my Slaves to Darkness. However, my late-year output was all Ossiarch Bonereapers. I didn't really count or track the earlier models closely enough to have an idea on total completed models this year, but it's at least thirteen--one Custodian Guard, 10 Mortek Guard, and one Immortis Guard. I guess the finished guys have a theme! 😉 Here's hoping next year is more productive!
  13. Those new Lumineth previews today lead me to think I better stay on track with the Bonereapers! If they look as good as I think they will, and include a mounted melee hero or any of the other things I really feel were missing from the Lumineth base release, I know what I'm doing next.
  14. I was hoping for some heavier melee units. We don't need the game being pushed even further towards a shooting meta, and the archers are plenty good, from what I hear.
  15. Not exactly a new army for the new year, as I got started on painting it at the end of November/start of December, and had been collecting the kits a while before that, but I am looking forward to making progress on my Ossiarch Bonereapers. I've found they are well suited to Contrast paints and am speeding along with them much fast and with better quality than I have on pretty much any other army previously. As such, I think I really could get them fully painted and finished next year, probably not too far into things. My goal is to have all 52 models of my current list painted by about halfway into the year. It's a very generous deadline, but I have had a lot of trouble with painting commitments before, so I'm hoping that giving myself some flex room will help with the pressure. If I see previews for Soulblight, Shadow Aelves, or a second wave of Lumineth, that'll be a nice secondary goal as well!
  16. Three endless spells with one caster seems extremely excessive, especially with the way the soul-bound spells work.
  17. I somehow missed that both units had horde discounts, so thank you for pointing that out! As I eventually iterate on my army once it's on the table, that will be a useful thing to factor in.
  18. Does anyone have a clear idea (ideally with sources) of the flow of events for this one? I have not found any clear indicators of what the sequence is for this one way or another.
  19. Also the Helm of the Ordained artefact. But as I stated previously, I don't think this is the language's intent. A very good point.
  20. I would assume they were intending the reader to carry forward the descriptor "unmodified" for the remainder of the rule.
  21. The Warhammer definition of "monster" has always had as much or more to do with size than, well...monstrousness. I guess they just aren't big enough.
  22. Very valid. I just don't think we're currently in the space where a huge Order pushback is plausible just yet. Maybe if Malerion suddenly decloaks Ulgu and declares an all-out offensive on Chaos, but that's the only situation I can think of with even close to the scale required based on the elements in play right now.
