judging from the teaser video, I would guess yes. Even the Teclis model they silhouetted looks similar in style to his WHFB model, albeit BIGGER because God.

My local store owner hadn't seen the New Year's reveals when I stopped in the day after to ask about it, but he did say releases are usually ~3mo after model reveals. Since we only got concept art........ hopefully the models are shown in February so we can get our hands on these light aelves in time for the sun's return to the Northern Hemisphere.

the bulging muscle doesn't seem very human to me though looking at it a second time, I do agree the binocs look Imperial. But why redo Catachan when us Guard peeps have been asking for literally anything else besides Cadia/Catachan plastic sculpts...

It will be cool to have "pointy aelves" in AOS, but I was also looking forward to weird and wild units in a high fantasy styling so hopefully this army has both??

Hate to agree and I can't tell if it's because I'm reading more about playing than hobbying/painting itself, but I'm about to return the Vanguard SC box my girlfriend bought me to wait on Hysh aelves I know I've got my own painting-block hill to get over, but the dread feeling that I won't enjoy Stormcast if I ever play again makes that block a bit heavier itself.

this is exactly my concern since I really enjoy their model design, but it feels like there are many better units to buy over them.

How much can you expect someone new (or young) to research before choosing though..? Because really, you should also be picking an army based on what you'd like to build and paint, and the lore that resonates with you the most--not just the capacity to win. I understand the "rule of cool" only takes you so far, but if someone abso-f!@#ing-lutely loves the idea of Steampunk dwarves, why should they be punished when they find out the cool models they made do poorly against others? More than the current meta frontrunners should be coming off the shelves, and new players shouldn't need to feel like they wasted money (which would take them out of the hobby entirely) because everything about the army is awesome aside from the table play.

yeah that's part of why I feel like Vampirates would be a strange addition; why not make the Deepkin 'deeper'

Vampire Coast works decently in TWW2, but I don't think I would like them in AOS when there's so many more fantastical armies they could do; ulgu and hysh aelves, kurnothi, grungni army, scuttlers...

So they did clarify this to the intended usage, but no mention of Hurricanes is weird The Evo errata seems to mean they can only do their arc once? I don't know how SCE even make units fight twice in a phase anyway though so... This is all a bit ://

It just makes ZERO sense from both a consumer and back end perspective. Why do they need to be trickled out? If this is an infrastructure problem, they need to upgrade their site. If it's a workflow problem, it should be automated to a point where they go up all together or one after the other. Instead we get some trickled out *in different languages*, others aren't even in the correct AOS section or disappearing, ones in the AOS section don't even show up properly when sorting "recently updated"..... like it's an absolute mess for GW saying this is what they'll be doing from now on, and consistently taking in high profit margins by year.

I don't have all of this built yet but here's what I planned on trying out if anyone else is interested the spells and unit order are up for changes but I thought this would work well on the small tables size edit: I just realized I didn't pick a Stormhost... I think I was told Staunch Defender would be best
