  1. New box seems like very good value, will probably get one. I like the new curseling but imo it’s not quite as good as the current one. Can’t help wishing it had been a new fatemaster instead.
  2. I mainly build and paint, but I also ticked something else, as I probably spend far too much time on forums/Instagram etc. I enjoy it for inspiration but it can be a real time thief. Time that could (should?) be spent actually painting or doing something more productive.
  3. I’m in the UK. Don’t really want anything for them, I’ll never use them. Just cover the P&P and they’re yours! DM your address and we can go from there.
  4. I assembled my vermin lord as a warbringer meaning I do have some spare horns. I’ve circled the ones that I have in red. The horns that have been crossed out in black I have used already to make the warbringer. Due to the makeup of the kit you may struggle to get a full set as each build uses different pairings. These any use to you?
  5. Agree with this, looks like a 32mm base to me which would proxy nicely. I wonder what the rest of the range will include, tanks? Or high tech flyers that KO players may be able to pilfer!
  6. Funny, I was wondering how new squat uncovered heads would fit onto KO!
  7. I guess there are some who just buy an army painted (maybe even commissioned) to use for tourneys etc and keep up with the meta. They're not too bothered about the creative expression and just want painted models they can play with. I suppose for people in that position it's easy come, easy go, just sell it and buy another army. If the army comes back round again they will just buy again. Personally, that's not me and I feel an army is a massive investment of time and creativity. I have sold armies/squads in the past (mostly 40k stuff). Haven't really regretted it as my interest has shifted pretty much fully into AoS. I suppose it depends what you want out of the hobby?
  8. Not great currently, they didn't fair that well moving into 3rd edition. However the next issue of White Dwarf (475?) will have a tome celestial article for KO, so hopefully that will address the issues.
  9. My mistake! Think I was getting mixed up because they are only battleline if everything else is Skryre.
  10. I don’t think this list is actually legal. For giant rats & rat ogres to be battleline all other units have to be moulder, so the stormfiends make the list invalid. Thanks for sharing the report!
  11. Maybe the Skaven release will be so comprehensive in updating models it will take them the rest of the year to get it done right 😉
  12. No, because it’s not a “skybolt bow”. When you choose to replace with a shockbolt bow the model is no longer armed with a skybolt bow. The name of the unit is just to differentiate between the other majority weapon option.
  13. Haven’t picked up the tome yet, but was looking at the warscrolls on the app. Have they changed the way the King’s falchion works? Used to be -1 to save if you use the falchion, declared at start of combat phase, but I can’t see it in his rules. Makes the king more killy and one less thing to remember. Or is it just missing from app?
  14. I bought fury of the deep, primarily for the idoneth, but I also plan to keep the fyreslayer half to use as a small army in itself and to maybe use for Barak Thryng. If I enjoy painting them I may even expand them later (I quite fancy painting a Magmadroth). To be honest tho, I don’t know much about Fyreslayers. Does anyone have any advice on how best to assemble the minis from Fury of the Deep? Hearthguard or Beserkers? Or should I go 5 & 5? What weapon option? Also what’s the best option for Vulkites? I know these things are highly subjective but I would appreciate any input you have.
  15. Looking at the 3.0 core rules you are right that the wording is not definitively clear on the timing of each section in the phase. Also, unfortunately the example given in the core rules doesn’t help clear up this situation. My understanding on how it works was the same as @Liquidsteel. Whilst nothing in the current rules makes this absolutely clear I do believe it to be the intention because when phase timing was clarified in AoS 2 this is how it worked then.
  16. I think it was an event exclusive miniature. Think it was available at the LVO recently, tho should be at the WH world as well.
  17. Oh, I completely agree! I just don't see why GW can't cater to both preferences?
  18. I resent that they removed the digital versions (ebook etc) I bought all the Broken Realms books and have bought multiple battletomes and GHBs digitally. I like being able to access everything on my desktop, my tablet and my phone. The app comes nowhere close to offering the same level of service/flexibility. I don’t just want the rules digitally, I want the full tome, the lore, the artwork, the rules. The app is pretty rubbish, with lots of gaps that you need to refer back to the tome for anyway (at least for some of the 2.0 tomes anyway). Since the change with AoS 3 to paper only with app backup I have bought zero battletomes or books. I probably would have picked up the Orruk battletome, I would’ve picked up the GHB 21. Digital books are so much easier to impulse buy! Paper books for me are a planned purchase which I end up talking myself out of. The only paper tome I have is the first Ltd Lumineth tome, (which was forced on me in the battle box). I rarely end up looking at it tbh. I may pick up the idoneth tome as they are currently my main army and I don’t have any other option, but I resent not being able to get it in my preferred format. I don’t see how it would cost GW anything to sell digitally again and they have definitely lost money that I would’ve spent with them.
  19. Oh, I do agree there are many reasons not to and many challenges to overcome with it. I don't know much about 3D printing tbh, but how are these problems currently managed by companies that sell files? But 3D printing is probably the future (I'm not just talking miniatures for wargaming). At some point, whether it's ten years or twenty or more, 3D printing will be much more mainstream. GW could lead the industry or eventually get overtaken by it.
  20. A part of me is surprised that GW don't try to be at the forefront of the 3D printing industry. Maybe we are talking 5 to 10 years as the technology comes along but GW could surely be making money at least by selling digital files, surely there would be a market for official versions. They could even sell resin & tools for 3D printing etc(all at GW marked up prices). They could have 3D printers in their stores to order online and collect from or print and wait service.
  21. That was where I was visiting! I love Bath, one of my favourite UK cities! I think I had the last Gutrippa Boss. Was going to get an Inquisitor for my brother but apparently they sold out on the Saturday in 6 minutes 😳 I didn't bother ordering one in as it's Salisbury store's anniversary this coming Saturday, which is closer for me. Likely the Inquisitor will sell out again but if I order from that branch will be closer to collect later. I noticed on eBay the inquisitor has been selling for £50-£60! I might have to order a couple for myself!
