  1. Woah, if £110 is correct that’s a very good deal. I had pretty much talked myself out of the army box Due to finances but I may have to look again. Might be too good an offer to pass up.
  2. Also forgot to account for the magic card deck, which is a first so nothing to compare it to price wise.
  3. I think it will definitely be more expensive than this. The limited ed battletomes are usually £50, dice approx £12, warscroll cards £20. There’s over £100 of stuff right there and doesn’t include any models yet. Guesses on mini costs, Eltharion - £25? Cavalry - £35? Infantry - £30? Total that’s around £190 of stuff. More likely to be priced around the £150 mark. (apologies, not sure on conversion to $)
  4. For a total nostalgia fix, Greenskinz 😉😂
  5. I would love to see Orruk vs Freeguild/CoS box. Would be a cool homage to the 5th? edition box set (Orcs vs Empire). Probably never happen for stormcast not to be in a starter set but would be so cool. Maybe a 2 army battle box?
  6. Just like your technology, that’ so Skaven😉
  7. No, it does not say add 1 to bravery for each standard. It says for any, so you only ever get +1 no matter how many standard bearers you have in a unit.
  8. Doesn’t really make a difference which order you do them in as the second result couldn’t be rerolled again. Easiest to just reroll all the 6’s and 1’s at the same time.
  9. This is fairly similar to a list I was thinking about. Mor'Phann enclave Soulrender (80) Soulrender (80) Soulrender (80) Akhelian King (240) unstoppable fury, armour of the Cythai Eidolon, Aspect of Sea (380) Sands of infinity, Tide of Fear 30 x Namarti Thralls (360) 10 x Namarti Thralls (130) 10 x Namarti Reavers (130) 10 x Namarti Reavers (130) 3 x Morrsarr Guard (170) 1 x Allopex (100) Namarti Corps battalion (100) 1980/2000 My thinking was use big unit of thralls as a screen. With forgotten nightmares with good placement they have to be targeted. The battalion soulrender can return 6 thralls a round, the other 2 soulrenders 3 +D3 each. Use the eidolon to debuff everything with tide of terror and tide of fear for potential -2 to hit on a unit (possibly extending for 2 turns with sands of infinity). Then use king, guard and allopex for a counter punch (hopefully on high tide). Might not work, but thought it'd be a laugh to keep returning Namarti.
  10. I think for this list to be legal Thanquol would have to be the general. In order for gutter runners and night runners to be battleline, the general can be ESHIN or MASTERCLAN and all other units are ESHIN. So if the Deceiver is the general, you could not include Thanquol and the runners still count as battleline. Other option is to fit in 3 x 20 clanrats for battleline.
  11. Looks like DAS modelling clay and a base roller from green stuff world. Looking great by the way!
  12. Just re-read your post. Sorry, get what you mean about rolling the mortal wound saves first. Still requires a few stages/dice pools on the go.
  13. But how would you know which hits caused what damage? 1 hit could trigger a mortal then fail to wound. Or could then wound as well. Or wound and not cause a mortal. The only way of working this out would be to roll all wound/save/after saves individually, or in pairs to know the source of the damage. Whether it was from an unsaved wound, an unsaved mortal wound and if either of those came from the same initial attack?
  14. Agree it’s not clear. Not written with Gotreks ability in mind. Would you agree tho a bit of a nightmare to play using what you’re suggesting?
  15. Doesn’t Gotrek affects damage inflicted from each separate attack, ability or spell? My reasoning: great hammer attack hits with a 6, wounds, save failed, after save failed = 1 damage from the attack shattering strike ability triggers on 6, after save failed = 1 damage from the ability. 2 separate sources of damage. I see how it can be reasoned the other way in the wording of the shattering strike ability, but in play it would be very clunky to keep track of which hits came from where. Each hit of 6 and the potential resulting wound roll and 2? after saves would need to be rolled separately to know which hits should be reduced to 1. Max size unit of hammerers = big headache. If you get a reply on this I’d be interested to know.
  16. Just further on this, shattering strike is listed in the abilities section of the warscroll, hence my comment about 2 sources of damage, attack and ability. Definitely a good idea to check, but I can’t see how else it would play. Otherwise, which would you choose to take away, the wound or mortal wound? Without clarification who gets to decide?
  17. I would say that the damage from each great hammer attack is 1 (cannot be reduced any further). And the damage from the Shattering strike ability is 1 mortal wound (again can not be reduced any further). In my mind they are 2 separate sources of damage, attack & ability.
  18. So in the example you gave it would be the first option, 10 wounds (subject to 5+ save, then 3+ after save) and 5 mortal wounds (with 3+ save).
  19. Page 10 of core rules, there is a box all about objectives. Basically, whoever has most models within 6” of the centre of the objectives at end of turn captures an objective.
  20. My wallet breathes a sigh of relief! I have at least another week to sell off some stuff.
  21. Not 100% on mad as hell myself. Think it gives extra movement when damage is taken if there are no enemies within a certain distance. So shooting and spells Etc only make them quicker,
  22. Yes, agreed. Situational, I suppose, if a screening is minimum sized supported by a couple of gore grunta unit charges could theoretically take it down to nearly dead, allowing a MK to charge, kill and charge again. Just something to be wary of.
  23. I would love it for the Sky cutter to return.
