  1. Hello people, I've got a couple of questions I'd like to hear your opinions on. First off, is it viable to not run any healing in an Ossiarch list at all? I don't like to run special characters, and I'm not too keen on the Boneshaper or Harvester. Can't we make up for not having any healing with all the other great stuff in OBR? Do we really need it? Second off, what do you think about swords vs spears for Kavalos in the battalion? I was planning on running two units of 10 with spears in Petrifex, and then have "Empower Nadirite Weapons" on a Soulmason. That sounds like it could be worth it in the battalion, but the swords would also be oh-so-good in Petrifex. Appreciate your thoughts.
  2. What do you think about the Drakespawn and Scourgerunner chariots? The Scourgerunners seem ok for their points, but have a very strange rule where only one model in a unit can be upgraded, so they are best taken in singles. The Drakespawn seem quite nice on paper, but it would suck to get get counter charged with them. The MW's (and good looking models) make them seem very tempting to me though.
  3. I'll ask just in case I'm overlooking anything, but there is absolutely no way of making a Dwarf hero able to cast spells in this allegiance right? Having a pure tempest dorf army would be the dream, and that dream looks a lot better with that +1 attack spell. Just imagine running 4 attack Hammerers with rend -2.
  4. I'm a bit sad that the ascended turned out to be such a poor pick in the warband. They are the models that made me want to buy the band in the first place. We could see them doing points changes whenever the next update is going out, but I strongly doubt it. But I feel like they might need to drop 5 or 10 points to justify their place in lists. With their current costs it's hard to fit them in a way to make good use of them too. I'm still going to be running two of them just because I love 'em. @The Traitor Those Hearthguard bitz look like they're going to be great. I especially love the guy who has it on his amputated hand.
  5. I'm new to AoS, but I was a Dwarf player in WHFB. Although I'm looking to play Nighthaunt as my first AoS army -I asked for an update to Dispossessed as my greatest wish in the survey. My greatest wish is for the model range to be renewed and re-imagined like what the did with the Night Goblins/Gloomspite Gitz. I feel like there is a ton of potential in the storylines revolving around Grugni's disappearance, the six smiths, the Duardin resurgence in the realms etc. If we get something I doubt it's anything but some endless prayers and a tome, but it's still a crying shame for GW to mistreat such an iconic faction. Especially when they've given it so much room to grow in Age of Sigmar.
  6. The mounted KoS has the Knight of Shrouds keyword, and the battalion states the unit names in Bold.
  7. Hello everyone! I'm new to Age of Sigmar, and I'm hoping to slowly build up to a 2000pt Nighthaunt army as my first project. I have a list in mind that I want to build towards but I'm not confident that it's a good one, so I was hoping if you guys could tell me your thoughts on it. It's not that I want it to be super competitive, but if I'm making something that is going to struggle against half the armies in the game then I'd like to know beforehand. My only rules here is that I don't use special characters, and that I'm trying to prioritize the models I like the best in the range. List in spoiler (To avoid taking up space) The idea is that I'm grouping the army up into four pieces, that I can use flexibly depending on the situation. The two Revenant units each get their own Spirit Torment, and one has the Guardian while the other has the KoS. The Executioner hangs out with the spirit hosts. If I need to defend something then I've got the Revenant unit with the Guardian with lots of heals, and the Execution Horde which should be a nice tarpit. I've put spirit drain on the Executioner in the hopes that I can bait some monster into attacking my general, and then grind it away. If I need to move up and attack some place then I've got the Revenant unit that is affected by the KoS's pendant, and possibly the Banshees for magic defense. If the opportunity presents itself -I've got soul cage on the guardian for the dream double charge with the Revenants. My own concern with my list is that I'm not sure I've got enough bodies for objectives in 2K games. And I haven't got a clue about matchups. Again, I'm new to the game, and I've never played a game. So any feedback is much much appreciated!
