    Welp, I am afraid progress has been paused, as I have run out of primer. Very sad, going to pick up some tomorrow , however for now I am unable to get some newly assembled models primed. In other news how should I be doing shields? I have seen people leave them off and primer them separately, people who paint and primer it all assembled, and people who paint everything then attach it. What works best, as I understand from a basic understanding of The World that it won't go on well fully assembled, however I am not sure when I should attach it or any tips I could get for doing it.

    Once again, very fair, it is a small amount of models, unfortunately I have only discovered this hobby in the past 3-4 months, so I haven't had the time required to buy truly amazing amounts of models. In the counter position to yours, i wish I had those models to build and paint. I am a very fast builder so I already have them built and based and primed, but oh man if I had that many boxes... I would be a very happy man.

    Fair. Also I should not have bragged about having an absence of a pile of shame, as I now have a box and around 20-30 models sitting on my desk waiting to be primed.

    Not entirely sure, i would recommend just starting a new thread there and posting the same pictures. I think all mighty Ben is the only one who can move threads, so you will just have to start a new thread.

    I always feel bad for them, they seem like they should be more useful, but alas, they are secondary to the riggers in every way.

    I agree, however in the future, were going to reach a point where there is an almost critical mass of models, as almost no one throws them away (excluding special circumstances) which means that eventually GW doesn't need to produce models because we HAVE every model. And we just sell the ones we don't want.

    How did you know? Seriously though don't worry I ordered like 40 models yesterday after saying that, so I should be building it back up.

    Update Time! I have completed Thundrik's Profiteers as I was bored and so I have completed them. Same for my gunhauler, I might post pics soon, might wait, who knows. For now I have taken your advice @Kramer and *tried to* thin my paints. Here is the result: My personal favorite, ranked 1st - 3rd I am still working on getting better at shading and thinning and the like but I think these guys turned out pretty well!

    Jesus, you want to see my pile of shame? Everything else is at least painted (although some are waiting for basing), and primed. Heck, the only thing that is primed is 3 endrinriggers and I am painting those next! Everything is painted. Although to be fair this is just about the end of the painting zone as a couple items should be arriving tomorrow. However that gunhauler is my pile of shame.

    Yes and yes, hold up brainstorm time. So I am thinking of slicing off the top half of the dwarf, leave the legs, put on a longbeard with great weapon (what proper duardin uses a pole arm? After all, those are for Aelves) and then using that as some basic cavalry of Awesomeness, then I want to take the stonehorn, see if i can find a properly sized bear head, and put on that with a cannon/dwarven war party, run it similar to a stegosaurus with a bunch of skinks, except bear and dwarves.

    I am sorry, I but are you telling me that there was a bunch of dwarfs on a bear with a massive cannon, and cavalry on bears? Conversion project has been found.

    In fact now that I look at the swordsman, he looks like he has a two-piece pike/pole strapped to his back!

    It's that shield that I am looking at, as it looks the same as the pikemens shields so i think it could very well be a dual kit for the pike men into more of a swordsmen unit.

    On top of that, I don't think we have seen that soldier yet. We have seen the pikemen, the riders, the hammerers, and that's it for infantry (I think). What this guy could be is a much more Tyrion inspired section of the army.

    I have to agree, what are you even supposed to do against that?

    Legion of Azgorh on FW? They are the closest we can get to real Chaos Dwarfs in this depraved age.

    I will make sure I will try! Most of the reaper paints are overly thinned, to the point when they come out of the bottle they closely resemble a shade, so I am not really used to thinning paints much.

    And on top of that I would expect them to have an anti-anti-magic thing, as the current meta is (as far as I can ascertain) focused on armies who can just nope magic. Therefore with the powercreep natural to this game they would have something to counter the counter that armies like Khorne and Tzeentch have.
