  1. to be fair we are talking about AoS 3.0, just using the 40k edition as a comparison.
  2. i think one of the reason they choice Necron is that they have always been known as an easy to paint army (spray leadbealcher and put a coat of nuln oil on them and you are all set). so it a good beginner army for newer customers. this could also be a factor of what armies get chosen in the end, we are all kind of assuming Stormcast is going to be front and center of the new edition just because of how they are both posterboy faction and have always been design to be newbie friendly.
  3. if it is destruction, most people are leaning towards updating and giving more Models to Ironjawz, since they are suppose to be the posterboy of destruction and a lot of people have been waiting for models for them since they been release 5 years ago. new armies for Destruction have been theorize to be either Sky Grots or the Silent people two popular theories. Skaven is probably the other big contender only because their range is half anchient and they could use a Necron refresh but the BR narrative doesn;t seem to be going there
  4. pretty sure all Tzaangor units have the Breyherd keyword
  5. Broken realm fiction featuring Sigvald nQ9Ozsp7W3b7G8Xo.pdf (warhammer-community.com)
  6. So Forgeworld went back to classify units into Grand alliances. i am going to go on a limb and say that everything in the AoS range (even Gloomspite units and greater daemons) is going to be purge really really soon. probably the best time to get any model is now
  7. Well they just release a DOK battletome just now, not sure what your bone in this fight anyway, if you can’t enjoy playing gitz and Just complain in the forum all the time get you no where. Get a better army then.
  8. Don’t think Malarion or Tyrion are getting BR books, the cycle indicate existing character with reusable artwork, are the ones getting the books. That means only Allerialle can get a book at this point in time. also BR would just be boring being all Aelves anyway and a failure when most people did get the memo anyway
  9. you mean underworld? i hope either a BR book or a new battletomes come out soon for Gitz really
  10. Slaanesh: preorder next week, out by first week of February maybe with Dark angels mid February: Drukhari/sister of battle with battlebox, Warhammer underworld Chaos band next preorder cycle after that is BR Teclis and stuff
  11. that make sense, since those theoretical three book would sort of update all the 1.5 battletomes (DoK, IDK, Nurgle, and maybe LoN)
  12. i thought they meant it as the new BR fiction story was releasing this week , which it already has for people who subscribe to it
  13. new BR fiction is out is about Skargrott and his gitz gTaKcfJQAAiilFPY.pdf (warhammer-community.com)
  14. it an ok Warband i am not exactly wowed by the updated Saurus Sculpt for some reason, maybe because i always thought they be more imposing like Orks are
  15. could be related to Arkhan and his Null myriad bonereaper being in conflict with the Thunder lizard constellation that they mention in the battletome (though i think they were in Chamon)
  16. I actual like the 300 Spartan look Fyreslayer have going, on, maybe pants and capes can improve them, but i think the core design of shirtless berzerker dwarfs has its appeal. when people are drawn to collect this army it that certain that fiery slayer aesthetics like other have said they are definitely held back by lack of unit, lack of variety and being very samey, Vulkites look like they where design to be rank and file infantry in WHF to Karak Kardrin before the end time happen, Hearthguards look to similar Vulkites, their plefera of foot heroes don't really stand out amongst the army either. i also think they are not that fun to play as either, they don't really have any flashy mechanics or that many different ways to play them. Magnadroth have always been that 200pt range monster and have never risen to anything stronger then that
  17. well they probably are squating the whole Legion of Aezorh line but the stuff that are still left are just wait to be sold out of stock until it all gone forever at least that how Forgeword have done it in the past as they stop making a product from the store, wait until existing stuff is sold out and then put a No longer available sticker on it until it is completely removed from the webstore
  18. i guess we are talking about different polls the one i was referring to was this one , i don't see this particular table on this video Warhammer Weekly 03182020 - Age of Sigmar Aesthetics - YouTube
  19. well, he only counted armies that got full range releases during AoS lifespan and didn't count one off heroes releases so armies like Ogor mawtribes, Skaven, FEC, and BoC where not counted in his poll. the poll was to see if people enjoy the AoS design and Aesthetics and which one people like and played/own the most. i recall that Ironjawz, Gloomspite, and Nighthaunt, where both the most played main army and most liked design wise (stormcast may have had the biggest playerbase but aesthetic votes was way lower) while Fyreslayers was at the bottom in both category and even their own playerbase didn't like their design
  20. FEC (because they never actually got a new model release in AoS) wasn't on the Warhammer weekly poll if i recall correctly
