  1. Thanks! I just read Goonhammer's lore review at it certainly explain Kroak and be'lakor's motivations much better. It doesn't mention anything about the mysterious kharadron, which seems a weird thing to left out. https://www.goonhammer.com/lore-review-broken-realms-belakor/
  2. If we get a Warhammized version of Shadow of War uruks I [something funny about recklessly spending large quantities of money]. That's how bad it is, I don't even know how to express it .
  3. Sadly, no. Truth is, regular goblins and hobgoblins kinda overlap, the latter double down in the mongolian themes, but both were wolfriders of the steppes and treacherous. Goblins even got nasty Skulkers, that looked a lot like Sneaky Gitz, the only special thing Hobs had. So I think Rippa's Snarlfangs where the nail inthe coffin for Hobgoblins, at least as we know them. These "hobgoblin-looking" army is most likely Gitmob grots.
  4. Sounds like a centaur-like creature to me. So if Kragnos is the last one of his race, and he ends leading destruction we can assume he'll do this to use the Grand Alliance in his vengeance. And his ire is probably aimed at Order, because you don't need a reason to be Chaos or Nagash enemy, to be alive is enough. Probaly the Order Gods (or one of them) imprisoned him. The biggest question to me is his relationship with Gorkamorka. Our green guy was the one tasked with getting rid of Godbeasts and the like, so there's a good chance he exchanged some blows with this newcomer. That could be another reason to lead greenskins and co.: To ****** off Gorkamorka. Wild speculations here I know.
  5. Overall the story sounds promising. But I'd need to read the book, because just based on the summary there are points I find questionable: - If destroying a Silver Tower is so damn useful to advance Chaos goals, why Tzeench hasn't done it before? Be´lakor can'¡t know better that the changer of ways how his damned towers work. - Again, if destroying a Silver Tower is so damn useful to advance Chaos goals, why would Kroak do it? As per the review: " Kroak understands the potential side effect of one being destroyed, but does not want to miss the opportunity to end one of the enemy’s most powerful tools". Well, seems like destroying one tower has more drawbacks than benefits for the Order Alliance, and by proxy -we can assume- to the grand plan. Doesn't seem like a sensible move coming from such wise being as Kroak. Again, this is probably explained properly in the book, I'm not screaming BAD WRITTING!!!111 here, but those are the things that strike as odd reading the summary. PD: I'm in the Grombindal boat.
  6. Some gargant-sized teasing from @Whitefang in this last page. C'mon man, tell us something more about Kragnos. Now I'm even more intrigued about the guy...
  7. Well, my gut is the former. To me, she is clearly addressing Kroak Probably the unlikely alliance the preview was talking about.
  8. Not a rumour, but I wanted to show my appreciation to the broken realms fiction about Vokmortian. Really shows that OBR are more interesting than what they look at the surface.
  9. @NinthMusketeer All that sounds promising! I thought it was weird for the new twins or the Lyrior guy to not make anything relevant. BTW, could you tell us what little mentions whe get about Tyrion and Malerion?
  10. He lacks a supply of nieces to sacrifice, but Im sure he'll find a way around it. Based on the summary, it is true that LRL victories seem to come easily, and Death seems portrayed as too inefficient. The thing is, it didn't need to be writen like this: Manfred or neferata (or both!) could have succeded in their missions since Teclis ultimate victoriy would prevent any dire consecuence that could come from the vampires victories. Anyway, I'm eager to read how Nagash -fourth- death (or is it fifth?) impacts the setting.
  11. Thanks to both @Gecktron & @JustAsPlanned Although now the wait until spoilers come will be harder harder
  12. Might be a red herring, as they are hinting at that in a very obvious way. There was also a Malign Portents' short story where we could see Malerion along his mother talking about stuff (sadly, it can't be read for free anymore). Even if Be'lakor was impersonating him (the most likely scenario if Malerion is really dead) would he be able to deceive his own mother, the thousands-old schemer Morathi? Of course GW can explain that if they really want. It would be a really bold move to kill the old dark elf king, as Malekith is a fan-favorite....but potentially very interesting. And people would stop fearing the release of another aelf faction!
  13. To be fair, from a lore perspective many factions love to fight among themselves. Skaven call that Tuesday.
  14. The Silent People are a cool lore addition, but I can really say I care about the concept of an insectoid army. That being said, if GW releases a bug army I expect their players to wear short pants anywhere they go and challenge everyone who makes eye contact with them to play an AoS game.
  15. I don't want to burst anyone's bubble, but everything in Destruction -for better or worst- is linked to GorkaMorka. As destructive as an insectoid army could be, I don't see how the insectoid mind could be linked to a brawl-loving god like him. The little we know about the Silent Ones certainly doesn't mention anything about Old' Gork & Mork.
  16. I like your theory about someone stealing Sigmar's essence, but Stormcast lose their memories at the reforging. which means Malerion should have done something to the Anvil, not the Gladiatorium. We are on the same page on expecting something more imnteresting from Malekith's gift than just "spying", though. I really want this guy to take a step forward in the narrative.
  17. There where rumours not long ago about Malerion being dead. Maybe Be'lakor killed him during their fight and supplanted him. That would be a crazy plot twist, although I rather have old malekith alive and kicking. I find him more interesting than the First Demon Prince. What Be´lakor reintroduction could do is elevating his Legion of Chaos Ascendant to battletome status. We want to bring armies of demons from different gods! With all those Start Collecting it would be as cool as -relatively- cheap. PD: The "rumour" about Malerion: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2020/05/15/mysteries-of-the-mortal-realmsgw-homepage-post-1/
  18. I mean, with Skaven doing the f*ck*r*ng, the Eternal couldn't be anyone else but Nagash. That Belakor/Malerion/Randomvampire knows to rely on the experts.
  19. This new hero makes me think they're might blend wanderers and kurnothi. Makes sense, as the Wood Elves range is relatively new and doesn't look out of place sided with the new AoS miniatures, they should make the best use out of it.
  20. I was just writting a post about how I think the criteria for the survey could have been more specific than "favourite". Because Lore and Aesthetic come to my mind when I read favourite, but for others that may be the army that gives them more victories, or a paint challenge, or something else entirely. I still think your results will be interesting and I'm eager to read about it, but we won't be sure about what is the appeal of the armies at the top or what is missing with those at the bottom. Different categories would have been great.
  21. First thing that came to my mind are Clan Tichritt and their chronomatic weapons. Sure, they were crushed by Sigmar&Co. but surely some of them were able to jump in time into the current era! To be honest I don't know how you can design such faction without it looking like Skryre with more cogs, but that would be a job for the design team!
  22. "The Spirefall was the result of the unchecked hubris of the Lumineth, whose raw talent and mastery of art, philosophy, martial pursuits, and magic gave them little reason for humility. The short version? They sought endlessly to outdo one another, and these rivalries culminated in a devastating internecine war. So great was the power they unleashed that the resulting energies attracted and empowered the Dark Gods, Slaanesh in particular, giving rise to the Age of Chaos." But...Slaanesh was already chained, that's the reason the Lumineth existed in the first place.
  23. I know I'm late to the party but the quote "The Sky shall eat the storm" is obviously the Grotbag Scuttlers joining Gordrakk's waaagh and wiping the floor with the stormcast. New grots 101% confirmed.
