  1. @Chris Tomlin Carl isn't on TGA for some unknown reason so I'll pass on the good news! Moar Chiefs :-)
  2. the Cheltenham warchiefs will be there in force as always flying the flag for purple hoodedness
  3. I've said it privately but wanted to say it publically as well @Ben Thanks for your efforts (and any others behind the scenes I do not know about) it was a great couple of days and has inspired me to pull my finger out and up my game in 2017 to secure a spot again, though I have a feeling this year the scrape for a spot is going to be even more difficult. Which for our game and scene is just more good news! @Russ Veal Well done Master Veal you have been the most consistent player this last 12 months and keeping it going for this last event means the year ends as it should do! @ "everyone else there" Thanks for my games, thanks for the atmosphere and I look forward to seeing your broken, defeated armies fleeing before me throughout this next year and beyond ?
  4. Was gutted I had to miss this last year Mark, please can you put down Kieran Harper Carl Smith Rob Perrin Liam Cook John "reality blade" Kyprianidis for now please and there could be a few other Warchiefs as well will let you know ASAP and get funds to you :-)
  5. Paul Buckler has just challenged me to a grudge consider it accepted @Chris Tomlin
  6. Well my full official title is Lord Sangfroid the Magnificent, protector of the rerolls. Probably a bit of a mouthful for a wrestling name ;-)
  7. Thanks Chris be good to see you and share a jar. As you can imagine I have of course accepted the invitation and will be bringing a choppa to a gunfight :-)
  8. Carl isn't on here sadly and is a top guy he has found an army he loves with the fyreslayers and by not swapping and changing all the time is really making them work. Amazingly the army he ran at B&G was toned down in power because he was worried about sports scores!
  9. @Chris Tomlin thank you for the comment, TBH I am really happy at where we have both finished, (with basically a bunch of Orruks and in my case some Ogors early in the year) <4pts difference is basically nothing in fact it's probably in the grand scheme of things a single priority role in a single game in one of the various tournies we have been this year! I'd love it to be 15/16 rather than 16/17 I really would and while I hope everyone who can go wants to go, if someone does drop out, well then life is peachy, Megaboss! Still one more event to go before its official though and so no chicken counting just yet!
  10. Looking good so far Megaboss, I agree about the inspiring presence on the brutes and to heartbreaking when one runs off let alone 4 :-( it's a shame you didn't get the last charge in even if you had of only left him a wound it's a proppa ironjawz way to go down.
  11. Any ideas on the deadline for list submission unless I'm mistaken can't see this in the pack? Cheers
  12. Count me in, if anything else pops up I'll just cancel that instead of this :-)
  13. Warcraft legion Chris that's where I suspect most of us have been, at least that's where I have been when not dying of man flu or working ! the painting looks great as always Chris but ditch the boners they have no place in a proppa megaboss list I really do think that the ironjawz become so much more as a single allegiance. I have toyed with lists and I find I may add in say 10 brutes then a megaboss maybe a warchanter and some gorepigs and an ironfist (they are Amazing I don't know why they aren't working for you) and what's left then doesn't really synergize so I end up back where I started. By fleshing out the ironfist. I know deep down its not the most competitive choice (in the current meta) but when you experience the joys of the ironjawz when the stars align and they smash all before them it's hard to walk away :-)
  14. @Chris Tomlin well done megaboss! Saw the pics and some of the coverage and was really jealous it was my daughters birthday weekend so couldn't make it (which feels a crime when it's 35 mins from my house :-) the post of Krunk boshing up the fulminatiors and eying up the stardrake had me laughing :-) warlords or fhgt next up?
  15. Love it Chris your army is almost identical to my army, the only difference is I have 30 ardboyz and only 10 brutes. I am also now pretty sure that this build (cabbage, mega boss, chanter, nob & 6 pick ironfist) is one of the "competitive"builds for Ironjawz. With the rise of bonesplittas, beastclaw and sylvaneth in abundance ironjawz are a pretty solid counter to some of those army's builds so who knows what the future brings. In regards to the ardnob if a TO allows compendium with no restrictions then that's great if they say no then it's an easy swipe out for a warchanter, but if allowed in I do like his reliable hit and damage when close to another character. In all honesty I wish they would "re-brand" the grimgor model as a Ardnob (or whatever name they desire) to act a similar role for us that the Exhalted Deathbringer does for khorne, one because we need a "Lieutenant type character" and 2 Grimgor is one of the very best Orruk models seems a shame to let it fall by the wayside. i reckon @Andy Talbot has some freakish mojo when it comes to mystical terrain I'm still having nightmares about our call to war game where my entire army literally failed first turn and then a lot of it for the next 2 turns after that, though I'm still in your camp of take the chance as the reroll wounds is a massive buff that we cannot achieve outside of going into wider destruction, though the rumour mill seems to suggest a new allegiance book soon and will be interesting to see what the ironjawz get for there exclusives :-)
  16. Sorry Chris the bases look great and better than you had before and certainly better than my cop out stirland mud drybrushed tat ;-) the ardboyz really are a joy to paint and will come together quicker than you expect once you get going as the majority of the model is armour and as it's an old style design not particularly detailed at that.
  17. great battle rep again Chris, I agree about shaman I often find myself dropping magic in favour of another foot character, been thinking of 2 megaboss on foot and a cabbage one foot boss as general with 4+ ward other with battle brew and cabbage with MHB
  18. Great reports @Chris Tomlin close games and plenty of broken heads sounds a blast, you have fought 2 of the tough counters to ironjawz, mortal wounds spam and high rend multi damage attacks. Looking forward to hearing how the last game went :-)
  19. Nothing left standing is also good if your faced with an annoying piece of deadly terrain, smash it up and charge will really catch an enemy off guard. Though its situational of course..... i I like the bellowing tyrant and +2 movement options best having played with these buggers pre and post update ardboyz hitting on 3s is a lot lot better than hitting on 4s
  20. Hotel booked excitement level set to maximum
  21. A good number of the Warchiefs have expressed an interest too maybe 10 or so purple freaks I expect
