Killax
Hi guys, Here is the digital variant of the card list so far, I plan to create the database with actual scans and perhaps even an online deckbuilder the moment Games Workshop is allright with this and when The Grand Alliance Forums is willing to share this type of information on their platform. someone2040
May I suggest that in the Starting Decks you put the full name of the cards, and not just the numbers. Since this isn't actually a database, I can't just plug in those numbers into a query and figure out what's what. In lieu of that, it'd be nice to know the names of the cards (especially since you didn't list them in order, presumably because you listed Objectives then Ploys then Upgrades in numerical order). The names of the cards correspond with the list above, you basically are quicker ready the moment you remove cards from the "Bloodreaver or Liberator" collection. You can plug in the numbers and figure out what's what, with ctrl+f your capable of searching the whole topic, the prime reason as to why they are set in this order is because the pre-made deck is set in this order exactly. Sim
My maths makes the 437 cards just about able to fit the 6 expansions in at 60 cards per expansion pack. Suggests these are already made to test the appetite for more? Would further cards be usuable with these or a new seperate set of cards do we think? Maybe they then realise an individual hero to add to each band with their own character cards as I believe these are unnumbered?
Killax
@SimWe have confirmation for 8 WU Shadespire sets, I think you can indeed count on 480-ish cards, including unnumbered Character Cards My money is on other cards being useful for WU but more outside of Shadespire, where Shadespire will eventually become one city set of many. This might lead into a Standard and Legacy format. Standard being exclusive to the current city set, Legacy being all city sets and thus Warbands mixed into one game.
Sim
I assume that is a pretty standard formula for card deck formats. This is my first experience, exciting times ahead.
Killax
Just now, Sim said: I assume that is a pretty standard formula for card deck formats. In essence it will also become a collectable and this is what GW wants too, a game that closes the gap from board to miniatures game. And they have done successfully for me, I ebayed all my GW products about 5 years ago. Saw the skeletons looking up Black Library rumours and boom I had Shadespire on preorder. Haven't played the game yet and won't paint the minatures (the different colours is a brilliant move for people like me) but the cards element has drawn me in, sleeving and collecting is great fun. Never played Magic The Gathering or anything but a card game set in the universe I already know is perfect. Gap bridged.
RuneBrush
In a burst of madness, I've knocked the list @Killax has written into a little web app for deck building. It's really basic! No saving or pre-defined decks at the moment and it automatically orders the cards rather than listing them on a first come first serve. http://runebrush.pa-sy.com/shadespire/ (edit: it's also missing the name of the fighter for some upgrade cards) Edited October 31, 2017 by RuneBrush
Killax
@RuneBrush great job! Scans will come, but as before I don't know if GW is okay with it. The deckbuilder is great! Hold 1-5 is actually called Hold Objective 1-5 but since it's an objective card I personally thought Hold was sufficient, perhaps for the deckbuilder you might want to change it?

Makes perfect sense on the Hold cards, I've just added the word Objective onto the deckbuilder source Would love to have scans on, but you're right in that I think GW will have an issue with it as they're not public domain currently. I created something similar years ago for the old HHCCG from Sabertooth and scanned every card in, was a really popular tool until Sabertooth started releasing new expansions in quick succession and it wasn't feasible to buy all the cards!

Indeed, well I'll have scans of the cards I own and the quality isn't good enough to make a copy of it that looks like the original. If @Gaz Taylor is cool with it I'll share the folders eventually. Killax
Card list updated, though for whatever reason the page doesn't allow me to edit it and keep it as neat as possible. In any case though the list will be updated up until the digital format is around . Best Universal cards from the last expansion in my opinion are:Objectives - Brawl, for both Orruks and Stormcast supports a very good aggressive option that most certainly gets rewarded heavily - Contained, a brother for Denial and while slightly worse great game enders - Crushing Force is a decent choice if you have enough 3 damage dealing models - Determined Defender is a solid choice for Undead and sometimes Bloodreavers - Plant a Standard, excellent for aggressive strategies - Ploymaster an allround winner, easy to include into every deck - Victorious Duel, likely almost exclusively good for Orruks but a true good allround consideration for pretty much all, the immediate swing is big!Ploys - Distraction, another allround include for me, ever so slightly better as Sidestep or Confusion - Illusory Fighter, almost exclusively good for Bloodreaver but great nontheless, loads of potential for high movement models phase 1 and 2 - Mighty Swing, great for all, probably at it's best in Stormcast and decent to defend for Orruks too - Parry, fantastic for Shield defenders (hope we will see something specific for Dodge defenders eventually too...) - Shattering Terrain, allround fantastic for Orruks - Time Trap, also likely an allround inclusion, your opponent can indeed do the same but making an additional Attack Action after a Charge is massive during the second half and last phase.Upgrades - Army of One is amazing for Stromcast, it's a fail-safe but a great one - Daemonic Weapon, great for pretty much everybody but Stormcast though extremely powerful for all - Helpful Whispers, so far a great allround includer - Soultrap, the all inclusion for every deck. Just great. Cheers,
Wallack
Share the folders with me! I plan to print (professionally) copies of the neutral cards of the expansions to use them at home and have duplicates. As I will be using opaque sleeves there won't be any issue noticing any difference of colours.
Grizats
In this card list, there's a section titled "Universal Expansion 1 and 2". What does that mean? Is that referring to the core sets of Shadespipre and Nightvault?

Grizats
Replying to EMMachine, I just recently picked up BeastGrave so I'm just now getting into this game in general. So I really don't know what cards came in what set nor do I have any historical knowledge of how things evolved over the last couple of years. And what led me to this forum to begun with was that after going through my cards and thinking that everything was back in its place and organized, I found a loose card just sitting by itself with the name "Mighty Swing". And I was like "hmmm. I wonder what warband or box this card belongs to?" Yeah I know the idea is to throw them all together in a blender and create custom decks, but it was just more of a curiosity. Basically, what cards belong with what sets. Is there some kind of master list or database that can be referenced. I haven't found anything, but maybe I'm just not searching for the right things. And beside all that, I'm still curious what this original post is referring to with "Universal Expansion 1 and 2".
riddlesworth
I might be missing something, but isn't this duplicating effort? Underworldsdb will do these filters for you?
